    Public Relations and Communications

A Lifesaver for Social Media Managers

  • January 12, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Sprout has a very intuitive interface and easy-to-understand reporting tools that can be quickly understood even by those with limited experience in social media analytics. The ability to easily toggle between different accounts is convenient, and the statistics on competitor pages is an incredible asset when evaluating the heath and success of your own pages.
What do you dislike about the product?
As Facebook and Instagram tighten their regulations on third-party applications, Sprout has lost some of its capabilities of interacting with other users' posts within the app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout is hands-down the best tool for social media monitoring and has increased our team's overall efficiency and quality of social media interaction.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Sprout Social is an excellent investment and very cost-effective for smaller brands at less than $100/month. Be mindful that social monitoring may involve some lag from time of post to the time it shows up in your Sprout Social feed.

Sprout Social

What do you like best about the product?
What don't I like? I love Sprout Social. What I like most is the Reports feature. This alone has stepped our Social Media game up tremendously. I am able to go in and see how our post is performing while also seeing how our competitors are doing. I recommend Sprout Social for all marketers.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that is a pain is that when I want to search a time frame to present day it doesn't show present-day analytics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have improved our insights and Social Media Content Management.

    Non-Profit Organization Management

Great Tool

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to manage multiple social media accounts from one interface. This tool also allows you to feed multiple social media sources from one post. The scheduling tool is easy to use and very intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some posts that fail in certain social media accounts, but not always. The failure notice doesn't supply enough information to understand why it failed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using SproutSocial as part of our media promotion for a non-profit. For most of us using the tool, this is a volunteer position, and it helps us maximize our volunteer efforts and gain visibility. This has cut the workload at the least in half, and with the analytics collected it is one stop for all the information we are tracking.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You want time back on your schedule, this is a wonderful way to do it. No need going to multiple different social media platforms, you can create, edit, post, and respond all in one tool.

Nice Service

What do you like best about the product?
I love how SproutSocial has the overall feel to social media marketing. Allowing us to draft, schedule and even publish posts, to replying to messages this program got it!
What do you dislike about the product?
The content creation area for social media post is a little too boring/basic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allowing us to analyze our social media platforms, & Organizing our posts!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I wish the content creation area for social media posts be a little more detailed. Like if Sprout Social can have/add similar characteristics of CoSchedule for the scheduling side of Sprout Social. I think it would help a lot!

What do you like best about the product?
I'm happy that LinkedIn has been added to the management platform. I appreciate the view-as-it-will-be-seen options for each network, too. The reporting features are pretty robust and useful. I like that all accounts can be seen/measured together, but then there are options to break down per site.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sprout queue doesn't directly tell me the best time(s) to post based on my audience activity over time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scheduling posts in advance and duplicating posts helps manage our social streams more efficiently.

    Non-Profit Organization Management

Great experience

What do you like best about the product?
Really easy to use and has been helpful for keeping up with all of our organization's channels. The calendar feature and listening have been really useful for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish under my package the publishing mode would save my most used emojis. It would also be great if it was easier to search my organization's content. The search bar goes through everything on social media, but sometimes I just want to find a post we made a month or so back and I have to scroll through everything or try to search for it directly on the platform (i.e. Twitter). I've had a few issues with Instagram alerts disappearing once I clicked the notification on my phone, and I had to go back and recreate them, which was frustrating.

I also wish you were able to tag people in photos for Twitter, which I think is an issue on Twitter's end but it'd be really helpful for us because those posts get really strong engagement for us but I currently always have to do them through Twitter directly.

I also often have glitches when tagging accounts in Facebook.

For campaign reporting, it's frustrating that Instagram and Facebook only pull in info from your own account and not all those using your campaign hashtags and phrases
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're creating more engaging content and able to see what times of day are most effective for our users, which has been really helpful for picking the right times to share our content.

Great tool - simplifies multi channel approach

What do you like best about the product?
Sprout has a Smart Inbox which shows you all of your direct and indirect (via keywords) engagement. This allows you to engage with all whom engage with you from one central location. Messages can be tagged for sentiment, assigned to appropriate parties to respond to and taken care of. I don't know what we'd do without it!
What do you dislike about the product?
There stand to be some improvements to the platform. Reporting is somewhat limited. You can't share facebook items - but that is a facebook API thing. Customer service is also limited if you have questions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main thing is really understanding and aggregating all of our organic social media engagement!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try the 1 month long free trial!

Love this platform!

What do you like best about the product?
The smart inbox is by far the best tool out there for any social media managers. This makes keeping up to date with all your engagements extremely easy. No more looking through multiple pages to reply to comments or reviews. Their reporting is also very thorough and provides really valuable competitor incites which I use on a daily basis,
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not a whole lot on the negative side for me, I have been using the service with many different clients over a 4 year period. There can be some failed posts from time to time but that is few and far between. I do wish there was a little better LinkedIn reporting or LinkedIn ad's manager.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are now easily connecting and engaging with fans each day in a timely manner, staying on top of trends and watching competitors closely. This platform also allows us to track internal data such as reply time, total replies and also sentiment scores based on our tag usage for social.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a must for anyone working in social media on a daily basis! Both small and large companies can gain extreme benefit from this platform.

Gets the job done, but needs some work

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Scheduling is easy for the most part. I wish there was a more efficient way to schedule posts at the same time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Instagram posts have to be manually uploaded if they don’t fit certain requirements. It kind of defeats the purpose of automatic posting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
None.

    Marketing and Advertising

Easy to use

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We cater to an international audience and Sprout allows us to schedule our posts so we don’t have to get up at all hours!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was an ability to post more than 4 photos at a time on Instagram.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are tracking audiences easier and can plan out posts that we know they will respond to.
