Completely Useless Data, and Awful Customer Service

  • September 16, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
You can compare your data with competitors.
What do you dislike about the product?
Where do I start... the "Free trial" I was given was completely different than the actual program I used after my trial was over. All of the features I bought the software for were not included, and the ones that were, weren't as great as I thought they were. For instance, I thought the hashtag performance ratings were going to be shown overall and get more accurate over time. They don't. They only show the most recent within the last week or two. I also realized that most of the data they provided was already available in the Instagram insights.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was trying to solve the fact that the software in my trial was not the same as the software I paid for, but the customer service people took weeks and bounced me back and forth without an answer. MEanwhile I was paying for software that was useless to me.

Strong analytics

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to understand how we're doing on social--and quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The results don't always match the native platforms (Facebook data doesn't match Facebook insights, for example), so that makes it unclear which is more accurate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Looking at the data has helped me realize where we have successes and where we could be doing better. For example, it's been clear that we have a great impact on LinkedIn, but only if we post there and it's often a platform that falls by the wayside.

Successful software for managing your social networks.

What do you like best about the product?
Due to my roles as editor and community manager in the company where I work, I need a software with which I can measure the impact of the content I publish on my company's social networks; to achieve this I use Sprout Social, a software with very special features that help you use different social network accounts under a single central panel which is managed exclusively by you. Among the most relevant features of Sprout Social we can mention that, the publications you make in your social networks can be measured based on followers, user interaction with your publications, new followers, new business opportunities, creation of loyalty to your product or brand and exposure of your brand. I use this software a lot in my work to publish our news, information for our clients and consumers, and to position a new product of our company, valuing the accurate commentary of our consumers.
What do you dislike about the product?
This software is not as recognized in the market of content managers in social networks, however, its performance and performance is earning it a reputation in social networks and among users; this has been achieved by Sprout Social thanks to its social network management functions, its tools to position news and products in social networks, and its plans adjusted to business requirements. I have been using this software for a few months and can only give positive comments about its functions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This software has given me two great benefits. One is linked to my development as a journalist and editor, since with Sprout Social I have been able to improve my abilities to expose my content in social networks, managing to massify my journalistic work in benefit of the interests of my company. On the other hand, I have made the right efforts to expose the communicational content of my company, having a good amount of followers in different social network accounts, in addition to having very positive comments from our customers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There is no doubt that this software has many attributes that allow you to project the image of the product or company you want to advertise. I recommend Sprout Social for being one of the softwares with more options and tools to manage multiple social network accounts, keeping your customers and consumers informed of the innovations that your company is developing, in addition, with this software you can make your company known, deepening in its mission, vision and target audience their products. Use this software in your work and obtain excellent results in the administration of your social networks.

What do you like best about the product?
Messaging inbox provides easy way torespond to all commucation from followers across scoial platforms easily schedules future posts.
What do you dislike about the product?
report dashboard is not nimble or customizeable. Dashboard modules cannot be edited or dug into to view deeper insights. Mobile app is finickey and freezes up often when publishing to Instagram.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Able to manage multiple social accounts/customers. Saves time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you are accessing all the features you would want for the prices. There are several other platforms that provide as good, if not better, publishing and reporting capabilities at a fraction of the cost per seat.

Essential to our nonprofit

  • September 09, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The recent addition of customer reviews, including TripAdvisor, and the ability to add Notes to our Publishing Calendar have been so beneficial to us. We have a very small staff and this saves us a lot of time (and time is money!).
What do you dislike about the product?
The per user pricing model is annoying. We have one Sprout user account and a shared login for our Marketing department. We're a nonprofit and can't afford to pay for additional users, though we would like to have two employees set up in Sprout.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout's tag feature has helped us train a new employee, and explain to the rest of our museum staff, what works and what doesn't on our social media platforms. By using tags, we can demonstrate which content is successful and which content tanks.

A powerhouse, but could use a less extensive package for smaller organizations

  • September 09, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We heavily utilize Sprout for scheduling and reporting. Easy user interface and digestible metric charts are great.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a small team (Im the social media manager with no social team), a lot of the features we pay for go unsused. It would be ideal to have a more affordable package in between the tiers for teams like mine. Also, I stopped trying to schedule posts on Instagram because of how cumbersome it is to set up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We like the reporting quite a bit. It makes metrics easy to show executives, and features like most engaged hashtags are useful.

Spout Social is great for analyzing our impact in Social Media.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The reports are useful to measure our growth. The listening feature is a great asset too.
What do you dislike about the product?
The additional cost per user. I wish there was a team license feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
What kind of content resonates with our users, trying to find the right content for Instagram can be a challenge. So knowing what gets reactions is useful.
