Sprout is AWESOME!
What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can keep track of, and use all my connected platforms through Sprout. It really is efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
Our account sometimes will kick us off (we only pay for one user), but that's obviously an easy fix.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Honestly, nothing to fix. Its benefits are mainly its efficiency.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use it! It really is a time saver!

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use interface, connects to many social accounts. I worked on a social media team of 3-5 people, but I know that the other team members at the PR org used it to post for their clients, so I know that the program has way more capabilities than I used.
What do you dislike about the product?
Either we didn't know about it, or we didn't use it, but my team did all of our drafting in a separate google doc. An in-program collaborative drafting feature would be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to plan social media posts at the beginning of the week, set it and forget it. We were trying to establish our company as a "lifestyle" organization in addition to the services we offer, and we all know that being active on social is a key component to that! I also like that Sprout generally has crowdsourced user support (i.e, easy to google whatever problems that you're having.)
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would get really into the analytics of it if I were still working with Sprout (I've shifted teams). Sprout always had a lot to say about what was going on, but my role was mostly as content creator and uploader, without really getting into the analytic aspect of it, which is a shame. Sprout really cuts down on time in the planning stage, so I would use the time you save by employing sprout to customize the content to each platform that you'll be using it on. I'm sure Sprout will only grow and improve.
Not All It's Made Out To Be
What do you like best about the product?
Sprout Social conveniently consolidates all of our social media channels into one easy to manage feed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Firstly, the features are a bit lacking. Sprout Social pulls @mentions and #hashtags into the feed but photo tags and other social media tags are not pulled in by Sprout Social requiring you to log into each social media channel and check.
Secondly, the customer service contradicted themselves and left us hanging. We added a second username and Sprout Social was kind enough to prorate the cost to only be charged the remainder of our current one year contract for the second user. We ultimately decided the second user was no longer necessary and called and asked if we could be refunded the remainder of the prorated amount. The person we spoke told us that they would refund the money but the team responsible for handling that was in a meeting and unavailable. When we called back they told us it was against their policy and that they would not issue a refund. We then suggested tacking on the remainder of the second users term to the first user as a solution which they also refused. We feel like we have been cheated as we were told we would be issued a refund but ended up with no solution and are now paying for two users yet only utilizing one.

Easy to use, well organized Social Media Manager
What do you like best about the product?
I love that all of the notifications are in one easy to find place under Messages, are you are able to respond to each individual notification. I also enjoy the scheduling calendar which shows the posts you have scheduled out for the week. It's great to be able to assign tasks to other team members if they are more equipped to handle an inquiry on social. The analytics/reporting tools are fantastic and easy to use which is much more than I can say for other social scheduling tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't love that you can only view one week at a time in the scheduling portion of Sprout Social. I like to be able to see a month at a time. There's also no way to create color coded content groups which is a feature I love about other social scheduling tools. I would say the scheduler is what needs the most improvement, but the notification system and reporting tools are wonderful. This system is also very pricey!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We upgraded from Hootsuite to SproutSocial and I'll tell you it is MUCH better than Hootsuite. It is incredibly user friendly which is important to our company because we continue to hire on new social media managers as our client base expands and they need to be able to hop in and get started quickly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would say it's one of the best Social Tools out there, but it is incredibly expensive. If you're on a budget it may be best to research similar tools that won't cost you a fortune.
Sprout Social Review
What do you like best about the product?
I love the approval process within sprout, and also the calendar view. The approval's in sprout are super easy, and allow for just one final look over everything before it gets scheduled. The approver gets an email when they need to approve a post, and the person who created the post gets a notification when it has been approved or rejected. The calendar view is also great because you get to see everything that is scheduled in one simple visual spot.
What do you dislike about the product?
There really ins't anything that I don't like about Sprout. Everything is very user friendly and it isn't an overly complicated software. The only thing they could improve upon is having the post level reporting a little easier to follow and visually appealing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Sprout to publish to all out Social channel. This software has allowed for us to do all of our postings in advanced so we stay ahead of the game, and aren't always so reactive. The approval step has allowed for us to avoid any type of errors in live posts.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think Sprout would be a great choice for anyone looking for a social media management tool. It is very easy to use and has everything you would ever need. We like this software over others because it's not overly complicated, but is still very robust for social needs. The approval process is also super easy for the approver and the person waiting for the approval.
Great But Not Without Flaw
What do you like best about the product?
Like the analytics provided for all the different social accounts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Seems to have a lot of bugs and minor details that contribute to poor user experiences.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're able to schedule all of the week's messages in advance and collaborate on messages as a team.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
All social media managing software have different features and ease of use. I wouldn't necessarily say one is better than the other in terms of competition - but you need to find which you're most comfortable with and what you want to use it for.
Best Social Media Monitoring and Planning Platform I've Used
What do you like best about the product?
Sprout is incredibly easy to use. I love when I can jump right into a platform and start using it to its full potential. I really like that you can manage all of your social media accounts in one place, create content calendars, schedule posts, and best of all, track analytics!
What do you dislike about the product?
I really can't think of anything I dislike. So far every feature has met my expectations with several exceeding them!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating and planning social media post, monitoring social media platforms, creating a unified snapshot of the organization via social media, tracking progress.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Play around and get comfortable with using it. I find that it has expanded our social media presence by a huge degree because of ease-of-use.

What do you like best about the product?
Very user-friendly, the price is great, and it does what it advertises itself to do "Sprout Social is a social media management tool created to help businesses grow their social media presence" - I can personally vouch for that!
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't come across anything that I do not like about Sprout Social. I am relatively new to the software, so that's not to say that an issue won't arise. Very happy so far.

Brand Recognition.

Great program better customer service
What do you like best about the product?
I think that it was a really great program for what we were needing it for. Customer service reps would reach out every few days and were even willing to jump on calls to make sure that i was getting everything I needed from the program. I would have given it a 10 but it was just a little too high for our budget.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that they were about to figure out Instagram scheduling before my trial period ended because that is what we use most. Also I wish they had a feature that would pull content from our website and make it into content that we could share on our social.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work for a company with over a million followers and keeping track of everyone and everything across social can be tough. This put everything in one place and allowed me to track our growth for each area.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think it is a really great program and they are headed in the right direction. You just have to think about the ROI and really evaluate if it is right for your company.
Smart Inbox/Reporting Are Gamechangers
What do you like best about the product?
The smart inbox and reporting features have elevated our social media game. The smart inbox allows you to see every type of social interaction/message you have during the day, making it easy to respond to and engage with your followers/audiences.
What do you dislike about the product?
The charts and diagrams in the reports generated by Sprout don't always accurately reflect the data, so I'm having to export the reports as .csv files and create my own graphs for the data in Excel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In higher education, the toughest thing is keeping up with the slew of messages that come through the accounts every day, so having the Smart Inbox feature has really allowed us to engage with our followers on a whole new level.
