Easy to use, good reporting, easy to edit quickly, good app.
What do you like best about the product?
I love the view all accounts or just one or two to see what is scheduled and the stats. I have an account that brings in 7 client accounts and all of their social venues for tracking and posting. Super handy way to make sure I'm not duplicating or cramming too much in one time period.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that it has to be 24 hours between scheduling a post. Some accounts are super active with several people contributing and we have the need to sometimes post the same item 2-3 times within 24 hours. I can create unique posts to solve it, AND that's probably a good thing. Sometimes I get lazy and want to get it done. So negative, but really more because I have moments of laziness in scheduling to get the message out. Doesn't happen often... but you wanted me to come up with a negative. I can't think of any other negatives. I'm sure there are some irritations, but none come to mind at the moment. I have been using this for two years.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Delegating, saving time and avoiding embarrassment by duplicating efforts. Central location for me and my team to manage scheduled posts, allowing us more time for more thoughtful original, unique posts. It fills the gaps and helps when we have a project we want to promote, such as a conference. We use Sprout Social to give shout outs to sponsors, speakers and more. They love it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Plan it out and don't forget to make use of the reporting. Upgrade your account to white label the reports and have options for more venues for each client.
Great multi-functional tool!
What do you like best about the product?
Sprout social does it all! We love using it to look at quick analytics and to schedule posts. We use it for scheduling Twitter and Instagram posts. We also have a super helpful account manager that is always willing to help and answer any questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
The PDF reports are kind of simple compared to other social tools we have that are more robust.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scheduling social posts are saving us a lot more time than having to post it live and it's also quick and easy to use.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Very helpful and easy to use social tool
Excellent Social Media Management Tool

Social media management and reporting
Sprout Social
What do you like best about the product?
Sprout Social is very easy to connect with your social accounts and also maintains itself easily. It also has a very eye catching design, and the customer service is unparalleled. I primarily use it to track my company's engagement, along with very basic social media analytics (followers, views, likes/retweets). I like to use it to pull quarterly reports to see areas of success and improvement. I like the ability to see what our competitors on Twitter are up to as well. Plus, it's very reasonable ($20/mo for my subscription).
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much that I dislike about Sprout Social! Sometimes navigating the back end can get a little tricky but again, I primarily use the Reports feature so I can't speak much to the Publishing side of things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Sprout Social to identify our areas of success - which posts are most popular? Which receive the most engagement? Having all of that information is one place is a great resource, especially when marketing meetings roll around.
Easy to use!
What do you like best about the product?
The visuals and organization. It's very easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The images don't format correctly sometimes when you try to link to multiple social media profiles, so you have to post each separately.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One major benefit is the easy scheduling and immediate data access.
Still A Huge Fan, Have Been a User For Many Years Now in Various Ad Agency Roles
What do you like best about the product?
Sprout Social offers an extremely user-friendly interface and they do a good job of keeping the platform up to date with new product features and integrations. I enjoy using the approval workflows to review my writer's work before posts go live and make any edits needed such as adding a different brand image or changing text. Their add on products like social listening are still developing, but offer a lot of value as well.
The top differentiator for me is the reporting. I save so much time in preparing reports through Sprout and I find their metrics reliable. I use the tagging features very frequently to measure things like social media sentiment, the performance of content programs, and more. I don't pay for the expanded advanced analytics in part because the basic analytics is already so useful to me, I'd find it hard to justify the added cost!

What do you dislike about the product?
Cost for team features becomes a bit high, currently only using at a more minimal level with added profiles. Reporting becomes even more extensive or customizable if you opt for more expensive tiers of the product. The workflow for operating as an agency partner with my clients isn't really ideal for our interaction as I can't duplicate a post between groups or tag a team member between accounts (agency accounts and client accounts) - we only get one seat on the client's Sprout instance even though we're already paying Sprout for our team to have their own seats.
I wish the combined paid and organic posting was more seamless, I find the metrics are sometimes a bit misleading as the paid platform reports on engagement differently vs. organic for Facebook ads. I'd also like to see better integration of LinkedIn and new Instagram features.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a time saver to schedule and report all in one easy interface and to share content for client review. Excellent reporting on social media activity and competitors helps our business and clients stay ahead of trends, benchmark and plan. In addition, excellent visually-driven scheduling features help with keeping social media feeds full of posts.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Sprout is more expensive, but you'll likely save yourself more time here on reporting & monitoring.
Great platform for social media scheduling & reporting
What do you like best about the product?
We are able to schedule content for our clients to easily review prior to posting & it creates reports for all of our platforms in a matter of minutes so that we know what is working & what is not improving engagement.
What do you dislike about the product?
That not all metrics are available when you put the reports into PDF.
I also don't like how if you have had a platform connected to Sprout for less than a few months, Sprout is not able to produce a complete analytics report.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to work more efficiently with our clients & with our clients' legal teams, who have to review content before it is posted.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Talk to the sales rep often & take full advantage of the free trial before purchasing. While doing both, be sure to talk with your sales rep about what is & is not included in each payment level before purchasing.
HIghly funtional
What do you like best about the product?
Sprout Social helps me manage all my business accounts from just one platform by not only creating reports, but also allowing me to post and schedule content. It helped me a lot to save time while being able to find out what my client`s audience likes and dislikes most.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sprout Social may some time limit you to a certain amount of accoun
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sprout Social helped me indentify the preferences of our clients public and also improve the reach of our publicatons by figuring out which platform is mostly attended by their public.
Great Reporting, Even After Customer Period
What do you like best about the product?
I LOVED the reports in this product. They really allowed me to dive deeply into what was working and not working on our social media posts, and target the things that worked
What do you dislike about the product?
It was a bit expensive for the amount of use I really was able to get out of it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have accounts in several different social media spheres. It's hard to know what posts are doing well, and what posts are attracting your audience to do what you're looking for. Sprout allowed me to see what was going on in a visual dashboard, and to do so in a fashion that was easy to understand even if I wasn't a social media expert.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I'd say take the risk -- it's a little more pricey than Hootsuite or others, but it's well worth it!
