Great for Social Media Reporting
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the variety of the reports and how visual they are. They are beautiful and simple to add into presentations. The data is easy to comprehend. I like how easy it is to review incoming messaging across all of my groups (clients) and that you can incorporate keywords into your search. I also think it's super easy to engage/ respond to those who engage with my brands.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that public Facebook accounts and Instagram accounts were in the Feeds sections for brands. I also wish that you could schedule multiple posts in one day without having to leave the publication screen. It would be great to be able to CSV document with posts with dates and times that you could then edit and add graphics to once it was uploaded. I wish that within the Calendar view, you could move posts around. Scheduling posts is my least favorite part of the job, so anything you can do to make it more streamlined / less tedious would be great!
It would also be great to be able to click into reports (line graphs, peak graphs, etc.) and be able to see the post that caused that peak, that would be great.
It would be great to be able to share out content from other pages/parters outside of Twitter from within the platform

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are always looking to see what others are saying about each of the brands we work for. We are also trying to improve our visibility. A big part of that is publication and scheduling content. Whatever ways you can improve methods to schedule content and listen to /engage with people across varying platforms, the better.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's great for smaller agency's who can't afford really complex tools but is able to provide the same content and capability overall.
Great platform for managing social media
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to post to all social media platforms from one place
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be good to have a system that suggests posts based on the industry you're in
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
By being able to schedule posts I am solving the problem of having to login to each social media platform and post at a time that isn't right for me. It means that I can plan our social media and not repeat things. I also use Sprout to do social media reports which gives a great summary to compare each month. This is something that would normally take me a long time to do but Sprout just puts it all into one document at a click of a button. With Discovery in Sprout you can look at who you are following that hasn't posted in a while or who doesn't follow you back. This is a great way to clean up your account.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think Sprout is a great bit of software and worth subscribing to.
Love the features. Don't love the price.
What do you like best about the product?
Sprout looks good. Looks definitely aren't everything, but if I have to spend time scheduling posts and analyzing data, it's nice when the interface makes the job easy. It's easy to schedule posts on different platforms for different accounts, create reports, keep track of engagement, and more.
What do you dislike about the product?
The monthly fee hurts. It was justified when I was managing several different accounts. In the battle of Sprout Social vs Hootsuite, Sprout gets my vote when the job requires posting on different social media platforms for different clients. I am now working for just one company, and Hootsuite fits that bill. There are a variety of pricing tiers (I believe the lowest is $60/month), but they all come with a free trial so you can test it out to make sure it's worth the cost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can't imagine working with social media without the organization that comes from Sprout or Hootsuite. The biggest benefit is saving time by scheduling posts (across different platforms) in advance. Working in advance keeps my clients focused on the big-picture goals of social media.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Sprout Social's interface makes it easy to manage different platforms for different clients. A different option such as Hootsuite may be a better (cheaper) choice if you only need to manage platforms for a single client.
Better than Hootsuite, not nearly as good as it could be.
What do you like best about the product?
That you can post across multiple platforms and multiple accounts with a single post mockups. And the price is reasonable.
What do you dislike about the product?
That you can not use one piece of content and create different copy for Twitter/Facebook/etc. To do that, you need to create separate posts, which kills the time-saving factor of having a service like this, BUT, you do need to create special language for Twitter (with character limits, tags, hashtags, etc.) as opposed to Facebook, in many cases. Also, you can't see a preview of how the posts will look spacially on each platform, in each viewing scenario (mobile vs. desktop, etc.). And finally, you can't schedule a post to Instagram (which other services do), only a reminder on your phone to post manually.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm trying to minimize how many sites I have to go to when I want to post something. I've realized very little other benefits, but it's enough for me to keep it around.
Easy, efficient tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like the scheduling tool best. It allows me to see my social media schedule and quickyl determine if I have a balanced publishing schedule. I can also quickly assess how various posts perform in order to adjust future posts as needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I could schedule the same message across two different platforms at different times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are increasing our engagement with members through our news content. I launched a Twitter account just for our newsmagazine and have grown our followers to nearly 4,000 in a little over a year.
Makes Our Work Easier
What do you like best about the product?
It's great to have multiple platforms in one spot and to be able to save messages to reference later.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the number of clicks it takes to like a message. Also, I dislike the limitation on number of messages that can be liked in a certain time period.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are better getting our team on the same page and able to better communicate about messages.
Great dashboard for multiple social media accounts
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to schedule updates on multiple platforms for multiple people at the same time. The ability to view and respond to messages for multiple accounts, hashtags and keywords. Sprout browser extension makes it easy to share links from any web page to any of your social media accounts. .
What do you dislike about the product?
Sprout sometimes signs me out for no reason, and I have to sign back in and lose whatever I was doing. Also, tagging people in Facebook doesn't work with the Sprout extension. Sprout is too expensive for some small companies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Schedule marketing emails and sharing blog posts from multiple accounts. The ability to keep our messages circulating by seeing what is tweeted and re-tweet it. Being able to see messages on Facebook and Twitter and respond to them or email them to a colleague or partner to respond. Saves us a lot of time and we get more regular messages out.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Even though Sprout has an issue of logging me out, I still like the platform very much. It's very easy to use and customize the dashboard and reports. I find it much easier to use than Hootsuite which I used at my last company.
Marketing Communications Strategist
What do you like best about the product?
All of the social media mentions and interactions in one place with the ability to tag items to save for later
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of interaction on reports. I would like to click on a spike in activity and see what caused it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am finding when and where people are talking about the university, even when they don't hashtag or mention it directly. It helps us get a clearer picture of what people think about the university, what they like, what they don't like and helps us interact with those people for feedback.
Pretty good.
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to schedule multiple posts on multiple platforms in advance.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I could do more from my phone... I wish there was a way to save content when I'm browsing articles on my phone into a "stored library" kind of like Pocket app does.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Social media mapping of content in advance
Makes editing, publishing and reporting easy
What do you like best about the product?
Sprout Social gives us more control in content creation and cuts our reporting time significantly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can't replace an image without recreating the entire post.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We see fewer mistakes and greater accountability; astronomical time savings in posting, approval and reporting.
