Powerful Platform with Some Frustrating Quirks.
What do you like best about the product?
Having all social media platforms in one central software. I enjoy the reporting snapshots with graphs and tables that I can use in my reports. I also enjoy having the option to provide high-level performance overviews or dive into each platform at a more granular level. I also like having an approval process for my team. There is also sufficient support in the form of articles and guidance.
What do you dislike about the product?
-Cannot currently post mixed media to Facebook or Instagram (video and photo).
-Feedback for post rejections needs a larger character limit for adequate instructions.
-Social listening component struggles to identify tone.
-"AI" suggested post times seem very wonky at times, suggesting we post in the middle of the night...
-seem to run into issues where Sprout will compress the image quality on our photos or videos... posting straight to the native platform works fine, but Sprout will reduce the quality.

Intuitive UX with Room for Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Sprout Social for many years, and I find it immensely valuable for social media management and performance tracking. I love the platform's intuitive and easy-to-navigate UX, which simplifies managing multiple accounts, including those of executives. Sprout Social excels in scheduling posts and optimizing the timing of these posts, which streamlines our operations and enhances efficiency. Additionally, though I wasn't personally present during the initial setup, my team reported a great experience, indicating that Sprout Social provides a smooth onboarding process.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the preview of posts in Sprout Social doesn't always match how they actually appear on social platforms, especially on LinkedIn.

Sprout is addressing the challenge of organizing posts.

I love having everything in one place- the scheduling tools are helpful, as are the analytics dashboards. I also really love the SproutLink functionality for IG. It's easy to get team members onboarded and using the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
A lot of the newer IG features seem to be useable only when publishing content natively in the platform

Powerful Analytics and Influencer Management in One Platform
What do you like best about the product?
I like Sprout Social because it is a powerful platform that offers a comprehensive set of capabilities for managing our influencer campaigns and social media activities. The ability to conduct analytic tracking all in one place is particularly invaluable as it simplifies reporting, making it much easier and efficient. The user-friendly interface for influencer activities is a significant positive, providing ease of use. I also appreciate how Sprout Social centralizes all my tasks, from managing conversations to organizing publishing schedules and monitoring analytics. This consolidation helps keep everything organized and streamlined, minimizing the need for logging into multiple platforms. The platform's analytic tools are incredibly helpful for generating detailed reports effortlessly. These tools allow me to easily pull essential data regarding impressions, engagement rates, and post dates, all in one convenient location. Moreover, Sprout Social's capability to handle both influencer and social tasks under one roof empowers us to tackle various requirements with ease.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find some challenges with Sprout Social, particularly with the social analytics side. The analytic tracking for collaborator posts is sometimes inaccurate, necessitating manual data retrieval, which can be a bit cumbersome and annoying. Additionally, on the influencer side, there is a lack of transparency regarding what influencers see on their end compared to our view. This can lead to confusion and feels duplicative, as the process of adding and hiring influencers involves multiple steps without clarity on whether influencers receive notifications or emails when actions are taken. When seeking information, the suggested solution of setting up a fake influencer profile to see what they might see does not seem to be the best approach. Moreover, during the initial setup process, the contract process was slightly unconventional, and some add-ons came with additional fees that weren't initially transparent, which wasn't ideal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Sprout Social to manage influencer campaigns and social media tasks in one place. It streamlines tracking, organizing content, and publishing schedules while simplifying analytic reviews and reporting. It centralizes data access, enhancing efficiency and ease in obtaining necessary analytics.
Great Analytics, But Tagging Limitations Hurt Organic Posting
What do you like best about the product?
The statistics are excellent and offer valuable insights. Our team relies on them during board meetings and for keeping a comprehensive data archive.
What do you dislike about the product?
You can't tag posts unless you're posting directly through Sprout, which is a real drawback for content creators who need to publish organically on each platform. Because of this limitation, the tagging system ends up being useless for those situations. Tagging is such a huge part of sprout, so not being able to do this is a huge downfall...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I appreciate the calendar section that displays what our team posts each day across different platforms. This feature helps us remain accountable for our posting schedule, and the notes system within the calendar lets us set deadlines for each other. It also makes it easy to track what everyone is working on. Also not having to manually research data is nice, being able to find data on sprout to compare to past years is nice. I wish there was a way to filter out some posts so that boosted posts could be taken out of social media performance statistics (this would be helpful for our team that organically posts to see how they are performing without boosts, etc. )
Frequent Feature Changes Make Workflow Difficult
What do you like best about the product?
it's helpful to have influencer data at hand
What do you dislike about the product?
they seem to keep changing the features since they purchased tagger. we don't need all of the updates that are being made. it makes it more challenging to do our jobs.
the auto-refresh clause in the agreement is also super sneaky and comes across shady.
