End of Maintenance for each product is too short (only 3 years).
No adapter for ISO messaging.

webMethods newbie perspective
What do you like best about the product?
I like how the service created only by using flow or xml and when needed we can code using java also, but mostly flow service are enough
What do you dislike about the product?
cannot think one thing that I do not like about this products
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we are creating a standard business services to be use by others system. It is easy to integrate with other system and to be integrated by others system since webmethods already using industry standard such as HTTP, REST, XML, etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
good ESB platform with nearly perfect documentation, you will easily learn to use webaMethods

Robust and fast delivery of integration solution with most exist product in current market

I like most parts but webMethods needs to do more work to adopter DevOps and clouding

It provides robust and fast integration solution as ESB product, we did get lots of benefit with message bus product as well to support banking business

webMethods product is much easier for integration work. If you are looking for some support solution for Integration, it is the one you are looking for

packaging of solution is imposed, we do not know how to deploy just a part of the solution (without db, scheduler, ...admin..)

Integration Server are very powerful if well setup and implemented (we process millions of messages per day). Designer tool helps to develop fast, and it is easy to train developers from other technologies to develop webmethods flows.
I like the Innovation Spirit of Software AG and I am confident that the product will be supported and follow technological evolutions for years.

What do you dislike about the product?
Licencing is too expensive. The need to develop monitoring system to have a more convenient monitoring of interfaces running on our platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
WebMethods enabled us to cope with with rapid growth of our activity. We are able to develop dozens of new EDI per month and deliver on time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
webMethods is the good tool for EDI , ESB and EAI with any connectivity. Be careful to have a good sizing and follow implementations best practices to ensure it becomes a success.

It allows te company to automate enough tasks, and freeing time to employees to do other tasks of more added value

It is very complex to manage. Also the support policies are very rigid, being necessary continuous updates of the product

Lake of business use case implementation, Sag should provide business use case ready solution (DMP, eCom, any business facing SAAS) based on it's own tools. this will give access to more decision making sponsors and also help SAG in proving it's tools real quality based in real business case.

Perfect fo real time data integration, not and ETL, or it might cost you a lot.

Migration process for new release and hard to get proper help form support at the beginig of the troubleshoothing

Required support is, sometimes, hard to get. Lately, we have been migrating BPMS and is was really ifficult to have someone to help us.

We currently use many webMethods products. All of them are giving us the performance and stability, so it reach our standards
