perfect product Suite for Integrations
What do you like best about the product?
1) Individual tool for each set of operations.
2) Constant upgrade in versions to improve and add features to meet the business requirements.

1) Lack of complete guidelines to use new features.

Even though being an expensive product in the market, It helps design everyone problem looks quite simple to solve. Ofcourse they proved !!!

What do you like best about the product?
With its extended capabilities to connect between many contrasting systems & applications it has the extensive capabilities along with B2B integration and is able to securely share data across the system.
What do you dislike about the product?
webMethods is great but using Designer might be some hassle sometimes. To understand the tools and configuration is a good amount of learning curve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
webMethods is used mostly within EAI and also B2B FTP and SFTP. The capability to integrate with various systems is the biggest benefit and use of web services standards complements the capability providing secure and reliable transaction and delivery.
If you need a reliable & feature rich integration platform
What do you like best about the product?
Having worked on various integration products for a long time, webMethods remains my favorite. The ease of use coupled with reliability and scalability are core to it's functionality. It also helps that, no matter what kind of integration you're looking for, you're likely to find a match in it's product offerings e.g. SOA, BPM, CEP, B2B etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Certain product release (specially for new one's) seems to be rushed and result in major issues for an upgrade project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In past few years, I've implemented eCommerce, webMethods platform-as-as-service solutions, payment processing etc. The benefits in terms of saving cost on transaction processing via VANs or other paid data centers have been significant.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
webMethods is an expensive product, however, it serves very well if implemented for suitable functional needs. Please do due diligence and spend time during requirements, sizing and architecture of webMethods implementation.

Implementations are easy , mutli database platform ease of recovery.

Slow to evolve product multiple build issues where features were left out.

Licensing practices are questionable.
Good, but finnicky product at times
What do you like best about the product?
It's very good for the intended purpose of being able to run integrations on a server. They have good customer support.
What do you dislike about the product?
The software can be finnicky at times and run into issues that will require you to restart the server, or perform larger fixes with help of customer support, which can slow progress significantly at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We develop software integrations, which is the intended use of this product, and it is good for that.

A less rigid documentation needs to be provided for the people to understand the product faster.
