Good platform that is constantly pushing updates

  • November 17, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Iterable listens to feedback about product changes and does it's best to implement them. The best thing I would say is their support system. Whether it's chat or submitting a ticket, for the most part they are excellent to work with and do deep dives to get you the answers you need. The platform itself is easy to use and they've added some good product features to help you save on time when it comes to building, making it easy to go in frequently and update things.
What do you dislike about the product?
Even though they are constantly pushing out new prodcuts, there are things that can be improved about that process. There is not always visibility or announcements about product features, and some of them seem rushed and incomplete. Getting updates made to features is a difficult ask and can take quite a few quarters to get somewhere with it, which is a blocker. Plus, data pipelines from Iterable aren't always easy. And contract renewal conversations lead to some less than transparent business talk/speech which goes against Iterable's usually transparent and honest nature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Setting up blasts and automated workflows, re-engagement and cold re-activation flows, and upsell/xsell campaigns are our primary use cases within Iterable. This makes it easy to stay engaged with our users and bring them back after a period of time, whether they've purchased or not.

Great Tool; Okay Solutioning

  • November 17, 2023

What do you like best about the product?
Put aside that Iterable's interface badly needs to be cleaned up, and you'll see that pretty much all the tools you need to be successful are there. Basic things like STO, subject line AI, and fairly robust workflows are all contained. Nested data structures allow you to keep conversion history fairly easily and manage multiple lines of business. And even though I personally hate working with data feeds, I have to admit they do make life easier. Plus, I've never had a major limitation using Handlebars. It might take a few tries, but there's always a way.

I've migrated two clients to Iterable on top of working with three companies full-time who use them, and it's easily the simplest migration I've managed.

The tradeoff between Iterable and anything else isn't going to be feature set. It's going to be UI and support for more complicated things you want to build. But with the right help from other Iterable users, you'll save a fortune by just not letting yourself get woo'd by a prettier design.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you want anything other than basic support, you're going to get dragged through the mud paying for it. So expect 2-4 days for a decent answer on anything more advanced than a question you can find answered in the support center. Mitigate this by finding a user group you can ask questions. Also, solutions architecture isn't wildly helpful from my experience. Again, user groups help this a lot. Lastly, the templates versus campaigns setup is annoying. There should be an option to shut of templates altogether if you're a company who custom codes your emails (which you should).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Email is great, but it's not enough in this multi-channel world. So being able to utilize SMS, push, in-app, and email all in one place allows me to manage communications flow.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to get on the phone with our account manager is unmatched. We are always able to get a call with Lindsey when we have questions about campaign best practices or improvements. The tool is intuitive to use and easy to navigate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Given the limitations in UUID, the implementation was more arduous than other platforms we've used.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Setting up programmatic, personalized email campaigns that encourage purchase at the right time.

Iterable has allowed us to scale exponentially and efficiently.

What do you like best about the product?
I use Iterable daily for our marketing efforts. It is a very robust system that allows us to send hundreds of campaigns from SMS, Email, and Push Notifications. We're able to create hundreds of user attributes that connected directly with our system and use that to build and send fully personalized campaigns. Their UI is very easy to use and navigate.

Iterable also have amazing customer service. My company is connected with a CSM that is very responsive. They have the best online support i've seen. Whenever I need help, they usually respond within 2 minutes. 100% recommend.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not much to complain about with Iterable. They are always evolving as a company and constantly ask for feedback to help them improve in all areas.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Iterable has allowed us to evolve all our digital marketing efforts. We send over 150,000 campaigns annually, with 90% now being fully automated. One reason why we chose Iterable was their ability for us to fully integrate our system with Iterable through API which allows us to personalize all our campaigns. We've also created dozens of automated event triggers based on how our customers interact with our system/website.

Iterable has allowed us to really scale our business, and as efficient as possible.

Great functionality and support

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The biggest pros of Iterable are:
1. The features that make creating/managing emails and push notifications a simple process. It working with other platforms for translations or template creation is also a plus.

2. The support is great. I've used a combination of their knowledge base and customer support to address questions and issues in many projects. They are always prompt, informative, and ask great clarifying questions as needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest challenge I've encountered is with translations. The process of importing translations for push notifications is a lot more complicated than I was expecting, and often I will just manually add in translations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I manage our email database, and Iterable makes it easy to edit templates, create journeys, and edit journeys as needs for templates change.

Easy to use and understand.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to use, and how you can create target segments based off who has opened, clicked, or who actually received the email. I like how there is a more customizable option for those who know code and a simple version for those who like to plug and play. I like that you can see click heatmaps. I like how you can get a wide variety of statistics from your emails and how easy it is to organize your campaigns within Iterable. I like how easy it is to create lists within Iterable and how simple it is, but also how complex it can get for stricter targeting. I think Iterable has been great for sending bulk emails for our business. I think it also has a lot of capability that we haven't fully used yet.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only thing I don't like is how you can't see how many clicks you got from sections that send an email compared to those that send someone to a website. E.g. If I have a tile linking out to a landing page, you are able to see this on the heatmap. If I have a photo that leads to an email to send to our business, you can see how many overall clicks the email received, but it doesn't show you which tiles had those clicks and how many individual clicks each tile has on the heatmap.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to make automations for customers we want to keep in constant contact with. It also helps us set up reminders for customers when they are expecting service from us. It allows us to create messaging that is personalized to our customers. It allows us to be creative and test different things out, but also allows us to be successful in those tests. It allows you to really personalize what you want to do, and how you want to do that. For automations, we can test different things. For bulk emails, we can test different things. It helps us save time and overall money.

Iterable helps keep our ever-changing marketing goals organized and optimized.

  • November 16, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the granularity with which Iterable's segmentation tool has been created. It's a huge help to be able to create a variety of dynamic audiences within seconds, and then apply them to ongoing campaigns without needing to manually update details every day. It makes deploying campaigns much easier to execute, and allows us to work more quickly too.
What do you dislike about the product?
The reporting tools in Iterable leave much to be desired. There isn't an easy way to understand daily engagement within an ongoing campaign, nor is there any kind of 'scroll depth' tool to measure our users' engagement beyond the click.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Iterable helps us keep multiple brand databases organized and allows us to set-up a variety of automated marketing campaigns to make sure that we're always reaching out customers, regardless of what demographic or target audience they might fall into.
