SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor
What do you like best about the product?
We use this software on daily basis to monitor performance servers, network, and other appliances. It also alerts via email or/and text msg when a node goes down. Very useful tool with many bells and whistles.
What do you dislike about the product?
It wakes me up the the middle of the night -- but I set it up to do it in case of problems. So, I shouldn't really complain :)

Monitoring network and the servers with this software.

Netpath which helps you to understand where you may have a problem into the network. Therefore, you will optimize your troubleshooting and incident resolution time.

Control panel interface should be more attractive.

App and infrastructure capacity and troubleshooting.

What do you like best about the product?
We use solar winds for all of our monitoring. I am able to select and deselect interfaces on networking equipment. This is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it’s slow and clunky. May take a long time to query searches.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monitor critical devices.

What do you like best about the product?
It's a total package for Admins and Cyber Security analysts to use to ensure server health and safety.
What do you dislike about the product?
It requires proper installation to properly work and training once everything is up and running. Ensure you purchase that if electing to go with this product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to effectively monitor and protect DOD servers. This tool van be displayed on a big screen and monitored easily without having to make trips to the server room. And allows for easy troubleshooting as well as incident response.
The standard in application performance monitoring
What do you like best about the product?
Solarwinds APM has really defined the field here. I love the ability to query with WMI, or use other triggers to connect and query for application performance.
What do you dislike about the product?
The sales cycle. It seems sales is always on you about meeting their quota and whatever special deal they can get you if you order or renew by the end of the day.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This product gives me insight into server performance, allowing me to see where the bottlenecks are on servers and correlate to issues we're experiencing. This helped resolve database contention issues, giving us insight into adding more RAM to increase caching performance.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Dedicate someone to managing the platform. It doesn't maintain itself. You need people actively using the platform, and engaged with it.
The best software for monitoring internal network
What do you like best about the product?
With this software, we can find where and how critical network problems are occurring. This program shows in a clear and efficient way, in addition to having a friendly and easy to use interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
Until the moment of use, I did not find any negative points. I really like the interface, it's easy to view reports and the top 10 sites for more access among other types. And also network maps could be simpler to manage and have more options for device representation
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ipMonitor has an exceptional interface that is easy to use and simple to navigate, does a great job of measuring bandwidth usage and delivering a long term 'picture' of usage and also ipMonitor is well suited to use SNMP sources to monitor up states and usage such as network interfaces.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend using this software because it saves time and effort by measuring usage and monitoring time, freeing you up for other projects and also, this program have the ability to demonstrate long term usage, with reports, of given resources makes the process of justifying upgrades vastly simpler

This amazing software for network monitoring
What do you like best about the product?
I like this software because it provides high quality reports and monitoring. We can find out exactly where communication problems between machines / servers are occurring. It has a friendly interface and easy handling.
What do you dislike about the product?
Being a very complete program, I believe that for small businesses it would be a high cost. When I worked in the telecom area of the company (big company), I did not find any kind of negative point in this wonderful software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to know everything that goes on within the company network and to detect the problems and which solutions to take.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend the use of this software as it provides all kind of report of the internal network of the company. It is extremely easy to use and has high quality support. Once again I would recommend for you user / administrator to use this program because you will have everything in the hands of the highest quality program.
Solarwinds has taken us to the next level
What do you like best about the product?
SolarWinds does a great job delivering great storage options to MSPs for bundling and deliverability to their IT customers. The best part is that we can easily tell our customers exactly what they are going to get for their money. Everyone is happy!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that Solarwinds had a better tool for analytics and reporting on the financial and operational side. It can me a pain to always export the data in annoying spreadsheets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to scale SolarWinds storage solution to accommodate just one computer to an entire feel of endpoints.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You should strongly consider SolarWinds Storage solutions if you are a managed service provider. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
An amazing tool
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about this product is that it provides a complete solution for monitoring and analyzing data. Librato offers various services that help understand the data and provides wonderful visualizations. Additionally, it provides services that can offer activity alert notifications on various metrics when processing is performed.
What do you dislike about the product?
The collaboration of the Librato team is not very good from what I've heard. The team works independently and often provides less frequent updates. It would be difficult if the client has a client to respond to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it for configuration and data analysis in a group setting. I would do it in a research lab, so we use this application to consolidate and review data from the entire lab. It was an easier transition in learning, as some of the lab members had been using the application for some time before the rest of us started using it. I would suggest finding someone to help you learn it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
My company chose this product because it met the client's requirements. I can't say it will be the same with your company as well. There are many products on the market that offer a similar service. I would highly recommend conducting proper research before considering this product.
