Email protection has reduced spam threats and now saves time through centralized control

What is our primary use case?
My main use case for Barracuda Email Protection is to ensure all emails are being securely delivered and we are receiving all secured email while preventing spam emails from reaching the inbox. I use it primarily as an email security solution.
A specific example of how Barracuda Email Protection helped my organization with email security is during vacation times such as Christmas, when many spam emails containing Amazon gift cards and vouchers arrive. Barracuda Email Protection has consistently prevented those emails from reaching end users and protected my client from these threats. That is one of the best examples I can provide.
Barracuda Email Protection has proven valuable for many capabilities, including the option to block domains. I can rate emails based on whether they have SPF value records, and I can determine if DMARC records are not in place. I receive all that information from senders, and Barracuda Email Protection protects against all those things. That is what I appreciate about the solution.
How has it helped my organization?
Barracuda Email Protection has positively impacted my organization by protecting my clients from spam emails and cyber attacks. That is the most helpful aspect, which has been beneficial for my organization's growth.
I have measured this impact by noticing that on a daily basis, approximately ten percent of emails are spam and contain threats or hacker techniques sent via email. All those threats have decreased, and it is having a positive impact on my organization's level.
What is most valuable?
The best features Barracuda Email Protection offers include the ability to block emails geolocation-wise, block domains, and block emails category-wise, such as drug-related emails, spam emails containing vouchers, and adult emails. All those things have been filtered out, and those features are very helpful.
I find myself using all features, not just one specific feature, because all those capabilities help me secure my email. I would say all the features are helpful rather than specifying one.
What needs improvement?
I would suggest improving Barracuda Email Protection by implementing AI modules into it. In the era of artificial intelligence, multiple AI scams are happening. Integrating AI modules could be an improvement plan, especially with dark emails emerging.
So far, everything is good in terms of user interface and support.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Barracuda Email Protection for more than three years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Barracuda Email Protection is stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Barracuda Email Protection's scalability is good and growing well.
How are customer service and support?
The customer support for Barracuda Email Protection is better. I would rate the customer support an eight on a scale of one to ten.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
We have used multiple email protection solutions from different companies before Barracuda Email Protection. I preferred Barracuda because we have other products and solutions through Barracuda, Datto, and other offerings. That is the main reason why we switched to Barracuda Email Protection.
What was our ROI?
I have seen a return on investment by saving employee time. We do not require monitoring multiple portals, so it is a one-place solution.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing for Barracuda Email Protection is that it is a bit high. However, when I look at the service and the features, I am satisfied with it.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Before choosing Barracuda Email Protection, we evaluated other options, but I do not remember those names as it has been a year or two. However, I felt Barracuda Email Protection was a better option.
What other advice do I have?
Governance and security regarding Barracuda Email Protection are good, and it covers everything in accordance with government rules and regulations. In terms of security, it is solid. That is a positive aspect.
Barracuda Email Protection is accurate and reliable, and I have seen good outputs from it.
Barracuda Email Protection is deployed in my organization on a public cloud. We are mostly deploying it for Microsoft 365 users and premium users. We do not use hybrid or on-premise solutions because everything is on cloud nowadays.
I would definitely recommend everyone to switch to Barracuda Email Protection and try the demo version first to see how things work. It has been helpful for our organization, and it can be beneficial if you work with it and test it. I rate Barracuda Email Protection a nine out of ten because it covers everything required for my needs, and I left one point for the improvement plans I have recommended.

What do you like best about the product?
The level of email scanning protection blocking bad actors submission of suspect email easy to know if an email is sent to others comprehensive protection ability to view the source
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the bulk email can block legit email messages and doesn't seem to "learn" which emails are good. Viewing email attachments, saving them and then having to use a sandbox to view it for protection. If that could be part of viewing inside the email or sandbox within the console that would be easier. If the primary domain could be selected automatically when logging in that would be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
New features are released regularly. Email backup for O365 users Preventing bad actors and impersonation of legit users from reaching the end user. No, the CEO or President does not want to surprise everyone with "gift cards"! Warning of when account takeover attempts happen and how we change user credentials to protect the end user and organization Spam filtering is amazing and reduced one user's account, he was 650-700 spam emails daily and now that has virtually dropped to 1 or 2 in a few months

What do you like best about the product?
The email protection suite gives us the ability to protect from malicious emails, delete emails from mailboxes, block malicious emails, and has built in system that gives us details about questionable emails.
What do you dislike about the product?
At this point it is working well for us.

We receive much less spam and we are put in control of what we allow and disallow. We save a lot of time with its purge from mailboxes capabilities.

What do you like best about the product?
Its phishing and spam detection is very effective. Most malicious emails are blocked before they reach our users
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally legitimate emails end up in quarantine, so we have to review and release them manually. Tuning the filters to reduce false positives takes some effort.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Barracuda Email Protection solves the problem of phishing and spam reaching our users' inboxes. It blocks most threats automatically, which lowers our security risk and cuts down on the time we spend on incident handling and manual cleanup.

Easy overviews, easy to set up. Pricing seems fine. Good performance, quick. Support assistance is very quick too. Have not integrated it anywhere.

UI can be slow sometimes. Settings page can be difficult to use if not experienced with it.

Superb phishing and impersonation protection that's clever enough to catch the ball before it's intercepted by end users. Helps us to focus on other tasks at hand, knowing that Barracuda has our backs.

Legitimate emails can be held in quarantine more often than needed. Causing headaches for end users.
