It archives all incoming and outgoing email, as well as inter-company email.

A necessary tool to protect your domain from malicious entities on the internet
What do you like best about the product?
Sentinel has been a lifesaver! In the past, when an incident concerning a malicious email hits my service board, it was very time-consuming and next to impossible to track and mitigate. This arm of the Barracuda platform eliminates all of the guesswork. I can see who received the message and pull the email from everyone's inbox with a few clicks. Also: the ability to have it auto-remediate is enormous! Peace of mind is a priceless thing. Now that I've been using it for over a year I can't imagine email security any other way.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing about this product that I dislike. Everything about it works very well. However, the barrier to entry for Barracuda's email security services does require going through an MSP, and MSPs have minimum requirements to make it "worth it." The size of an organization shouldn't be a barrier to access a necessary product like this. I would love to see Barracuda have an offering for smaller organizations (1 - 25 users) where they can get the same grade of security as larger organizations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For years tackling email security matters has been difficult. Even with spam filtering services, things always get through. And after that, if you want insights, auto-remediation, advanced detection? Forget about it! Could someone build a solution? Yeah, sure, maintaining it is a Sisyphean task. Barracuda already has a solution it's called Sentinel. You get all the benefits of an advanced detection and remediation system without having to build and maintain it. What would take hours and days to handle can be done in a matter of seconds.

You won't be disappointed going with Barracuda Sentinel.
Barracuda Sentinel Phishing Protection
What do you like best about the product?
Barracuda Sentinel is easy to configure and put in place with other Barracuda Security products (example, Barracuda Essentials). Clear emails to the end-user warning them about the phishing attempt.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting missed phishing attacks back to the Barracuda Sentinel team requires that we find the email in Barracuda Essentials, download it, and email it to the Sentinel Security Team. I'm hoping Barracuda can better integrate their products and reporting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Barracuda Sentinel adds another layer of security to our email filtering. Currently, we are using Barracuda Sentinel in combination with Barracuda Essentials and Microsoft's tools for email filtering. Adding that extra layer of security that scans our email for its contents and spots malicious phishing attempts.
Antispam that works
What do you like best about the product?
It is cloud based, easy to start and has good reporting.
What do you dislike about the product?
It becomes quite hard if you need to stop messages containing certain text or so (quite advanced topics). Essentials is not really into exceptions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I had a onsite antispam solution. Since you really can't predict the load on such solution, it is quite problematic to scale.
Extra pair of hands
What do you like best about the product?
The AI element, auto response to potential threats. When a suspicious login is detected from an unusual place is great, highlighting when users have inadvertently given login details away. Can review emails raised by used and review how it affects other users across the org and pull / remove from all affected mailboxes at the same time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not a lot to dislike within the product. You can see where emails originate from around the world, it would be useful to show if this was a one off or regular occurrence.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Several problems but unauthorised logins is key. Forward rules set within emails. We have stopped several unauthorised logins quickly and easily.
A complete solution of excellent protection for emails.
What do you like best about the product?
Barracuda Essentials is a great complete tool that we use with a complete solution in order to provide protection for our emails and data in Office 365 and Microsoft Exchange. What I also like is protection against advanced threats from Zero Day attacks and protects against deletions and hacking of information.
What do you dislike about the product?
No problems with Barracuda Essentials and no reports of technical problems or errors. The solution is collaborating a lot with work and productivity and safety.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has its differential for combining good protection of corporate e-mails and archiving them to ensure compliance, backup and complete restoration of data in the cloud. Protection is end-to-end and has filtering right at the entrance that protects emails from viruses, malware, spam and pishing. And it also has outbound protection that prevents information from leaking with encryption.
Barracuda Sentinel secures our email domains and mailboxes.
What do you like best about the product?
So far we haven't had any issues discovered by Barracuda Sentinel so I have no experience with that aspect, but I feel much more protected having it in place and working. It monitors our domains against domain fraud and protects us from phishing and account takeover attempts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing so far. Since we haven't experienced any attacks that have activated Barracuda Sentinel yet, I don't have anything negative to complain about.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Protection from Phishing attacks, Account takeover attacks and domain hijacking. It monitors all of that using AI and protects us from attack.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's worth the cost to have all of the protection you can get from Phishing and other account/domain related attacks.
LOVE Barracuda Essentials!
What do you like best about the product?
Barracuda Essentials works so well and is easy to manage once installed and configured. I am able to see everything that comes in add senders to the Blacklist or Whitelist as needed. Very satisfied with the results.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's so powerful that the menus can sometimes be a little overwhelming. But, once you used it for little while it will make sense and become very easy to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed comprehensive email scanning and filtering and Barracuda was the best we could find.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It works and it is not too expensive for most businesses and will pay for itself many times over if it saves you from just one ransomware or other malware attack.
Best Email Security to operate with ease
What do you like best about the product?
The Simplicity of setting up and the ease of which you can start protecting your domain within minutes. This products integrates well within other products of barracuda to give you ease of accessibility and control over multiple barracuda products. The centralized cloud control is the one place to view and manage all barracuda cloud offerings. The details of each setting is remarkable to beginners as they jump into protecting their email domains. Highly recommended as an enterprise email security solution.

The cloud offering needs to integrate with other products in order to give additional features such as forensics and sentinel
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Barracuda essentials have kept our business email domain secured from sophisticated attacks and have helped the business adapt to best practices when securing the organizations domain.
It's good security products
What do you like best about the product?
Per-User quarantine is the best feature. We can stop a lot of spam email using per user quarantine. Email spooling feature is best we did not lose email. We can easily deploy within minimum downtime. We can manage multiple domains separately.
What do you dislike about the product?
Global Quarantine feature. Because we can not see quarantine delivered details in the message log. Only we can see specific Quarantine mailbox delivered details. We can not customize external sender warning messages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
95% Spam email blocked by Barracuda and email spooling is better. Several time our email server down we protect email spooling feature without mail lost.
