Effective Email Security with Room for Improvements
What do you like best about the product?
I find Barracuda Email Protection extremely valuable for its Outlook reporting feature, which integrates seamlessly and enhances our ability to handle suspicious emails. This feature particularly stands out because it saves significant time for support admins by automating the process of entering reported suspicious emails into the system, thereby effectively blocking them without manual intervention. This automation capability is a real time-saver as it alleviates the tedious task of manually inputting information into the Barracuda system, allowing us to focus more on critical tasks. Additionally, using Barracuda for Domain Fraud Protection has been a positive experience, and the software seems adept in providing robust protections which made us confident in switching from our previous service, KnowBe4.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it limiting that when creating an incident on a reported email, there's only one option to email the user(s), and it would be beneficial to have several email options for different scenarios. Additionally, the initial setup requires a lot of steps and dependency on support to configure it correctly, which could be streamlined for ease of use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Barracuda Email Protection to help employees report suspicious emails instead of clicking on links, saving me time from manually entering these into the system and automating the blocking process.
Effortless Email Security with Outstanding Support
What do you like best about the product?
Barracuda Email Protection stops almost all email threats before they make it to the end users. This makes dealing with threat protection so much easier, it's almost automatic. It was incredibly easy and fast to get started with Barracuda's selection of products and their support team made it easy to get through the few issues we had integrating this into our program.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside, if you can call it that, is that email protection will occasionally stop emails with false positives. They do have an easy process for getting those emails through to end users once discovered though, and you can whitelist senders to keep it from happening again.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It offers peace of mind when dealing with the massive amount of spam, impersonation, and threat containing emails and really automates the handling of those issues. The team is reaching out to IT 90% less with questions about emails that don't seem legitimate.
Exceptionally Thorough and Responsive Service
What do you like best about the product?
Very thorough, very responsive. Fairly easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think of anything that I dislike about Barracuda.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The most important thing is that it is efficient at catching malicious emails, therefore lowering our threat risk.

It integrates seamlessly with all the tools we use, enhancing our workflow without any hiccups. The ability to have an interface in Outlook that lets users identify unwanted emails is particularly valuable. The initial setup was straightforward, reducing the usual setup headaches. Overall, it effectively reduces phishing, scams, and malware, providing a secure email environment.

Seamless Microsoft Integration, Robust Email Security
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy Barracuda Email Protection is to integrate with our Microsoft products, enhancing our workflow and security capabilities. The service's functionality goes beyond just email defense, providing a comprehensive solution that includes email archiving and incident response, which I find invaluable. The ability to monitor potential account takeover incidents through its integration with Microsoft Entra ID is particularly beneficial for keeping our accounts secure. I appreciate the wide range of services Barracuda Email Protection offers as well as the numerous integration options it provides with Microsoft products. Setting it up was pretty seamless for us, as we could efficiently export and import our sender policies across various domains, which made the transition from Proofpoint smooth and hassle-free.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Machine Learning aspect of Barracuda Email Protection doesn't seem to be fully consistent, making it difficult to manage false positives effectively. When I mark an email as a false positive, the system sometimes blocks similar emails from the same sender again due to their 'score'.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Barracuda Email Protection to prevent security incidents by blocking malicious emails and ensuring long-term email archiving. The integration with Microsoft products enhances our defense tools and allows monitoring of potential account takeovers.
Outstanding Incident Response with Sentinel Integration
What do you like best about the product?
The incident response features with Sentinel are truly impressive. I find them to be highly effective and well-designed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Configuring the global list is quite challenging and not very straightforward.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am focused on ensuring comprehensive security for email communications, and Barracuda has been able to deliver exactly that.
Unmatched Security and Reliability
What do you like best about the product?
The security and reliability are impressive, and the support team is also excellent!
What do you dislike about the product?
The new interface feels overly cluttered and is not as user-friendly as the previous version, particularly for Admin users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool helps to stop spam, boost productivity, and at the same time, it enhances the security of both the email system and the entire network.
Excellent Spam Blocking with Minor Control Limitations
What do you like best about the product?
I like Barracuda Email Protection primarily for its effectiveness in blocking phishing and spam emails. This feature is incredibly valuable as it significantly saves me time and prevents our users from clicking on malicious links, thereby protecting their credentials from being stolen. Additionally, I appreciate the ease with which I can block or whitelist emails as needed, offering us flexibility and control in managing our communications. The integration with our M365 exchange environment was also straightforward, which I found to be a seamless experience, showing how easy it is to replicate the setup. Overall, these features come together to make Barracuda Email Protection a reliable tool for enhancing our organization’s email security, and I am highly likely to recommend it to others, reflected by my willingness to rate it a 10 out of 10.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the rate control could be improved and us being able to system block emails would be great in the case of our domain sending spoofed emails out. More control from the system admin side, I feel like in the cloud version we don't have much control and have to call support in order to get stuff done like system-wide domain blocking.

Excellent Phishing Protection for Peace of Mind
What do you like best about the product?
It catches a lot of phishing emails that our end users receive, which is great so we in IT don't have to worry too much.
What do you dislike about the product?
I was used to the older user interface, now it is a new interface and kind of lost where things are at. I wish they could have some sort of documentation or even email awareness of the change.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Definitely Phishing emails. We receive a ton of those.
Effortless Deployment and User-Friendly Experience
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of deployment and use really stands out. I find the ATP functionality to be outstanding.

Moving from Zix to Barracuda has been a massive help in prevent phishing/scamming emails.
