Barracuda Email Protection delivers a comprehensive security solution. The premium package stands out with its cloud-to-cloud backup for the Office 365 suite, giving it a competitive edge.
The redesigned user interface for Email Gateway Defense is visually appealing and intuitive.
Additionally, the inclusion of CloudGen enhances the value of the Premium Suite.

What do you dislike about the product?
Barracuda’s cloud-to-cloud package initially lacked Office 365 tenant configuration backup and audit logs—features that are critically important. Recently, I discovered these capabilities have been added, but the pricing model remains per user, which is unreasonably high and not an effective approach. These features should either be priced differently or included within the premium plan.
While Barracuda has made some progress in modernizing its UI, the Cloud Archiving interface remains outdated.
Additionally, the 30-day limit on audit logs is a significant constraint.
Email Gateway Defence should have the ability to view inbound/outbound of internal emails.

Barracuda Email Protection’s Premium Suite has greatly enhanced the security of our email environment by delivering advanced threat detection, filtering, and robust defenses against phishing, malware, and other emerging risks. In addition to its core protective features, the suite’s Cloud-to-Cloud Backup stands out as a major benefit, ensuring organizations retain full access to their data throughout the Office 365 suite. This feature not only protects against accidental deletions or malicious actions but also offers reassurance with dependable recovery options, making the solution both thorough and resilient.

I love the ease of use and effectiveness of Barracuda Email Protection. It seamlessly integrates into our environment and operates without disruption, providing 24/7 security, which is crucial for our operations. The customer support is particularly impressive, always quick to respond and resolve any issues I have, enhancing my overall experience and trust in the product. Setting up Barracuda Email Protection was straightforward by following the guides, indicating a user-centric approach in the setup process. Overall, the service is robust and ahead of what competitors offer, except for slight AI improvements needed for complex attacks, making it a strong contender for email protection.

I think the AI of Barracuda Email Protection, while improving, is slightly behind competitors, especially considering the complexity of today's attacks. This means that it might not be as effective as some other solutions in handling the latest threats.

I use Barracuda Email Protection to safeguard against spam, ransomware, trojans, and impersonation attacks, offering seamless integration and continuous security, backed by reliable customer support.
Excellent Spam Detection That Keeps Inbox Clean

It can detect most of the spam eamils, and move them to the Spam folders.
What do you dislike about the product?
too sensitive, mark normal as spam email too.

no more spam email in the Index folder

What do you like best about the product?
It stops a large portion of malware and phishing email from getting into user's email.

Some stuff does get through so a layered approach to email security is needed. Adding additional Barracuda products such as Impersonation Protection, Incident Response, Data Inspector are almost a requirement.

Preventing malware and phishing email from getting into user's email.

I really appreciate how Barracuda Email Protection leverages advanced AI and machine learning to combat phishing. It's impressive how the software adapts to evolving phishing techniques, automatically blocking threats without needing intervention on my part, which enhances our overall email security effortlessly. Additionally, I value the system's three-tiered approach to handling emails by blocking, quarantining, or deferring messages, which allows me to review suspicious emails and easily release them if necessary. This setup significantly reduces the risk of false positives, ensuring that legitimate emails are delivered accurately. Furthermore, the admin dashboard of Barracuda stands out for being well-defined, which aids in easier navigation through various functionalities necessary for maintaining robust email protection.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find Barracuda Email Protection not very user-friendly. Navigating the system and looking for specific features can be quite difficult, especially when dealing with advanced threat protection. Despite having a good admin dashboard, I still find it challenging to navigate the platform effectively.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Barracuda Email Protection for email protection, particularly spam filtering using AI, which blocks phishing attempts efficiently without false positives.
Effective Email Protection, Needs Better GUI
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Barracuda Email Protection for its effective ability to distinguish between legitimate and illegitimate emails, providing a reliable layer of protection against email threats. This capability is particularly valuable in my role at a performing arts hall, where we have numerous external contacts, as it ensures that our communication remains secure while efficiently sorting through potentially harmful emails. Additionally, I find the setup process to be quite straightforward, which is an added advantage. The product's proficiency at preventing spam from reaching users' mailboxes is commendable, enhancing our email experience significantly by minimizing the need for manual intervention to clear unwanted emails.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the GUI of Barracuda Email Protection to be underwhelming. Navigating between various login pages for my mailbox and the admin functions can be confusing and cumbersome. It would be more efficient to have a single interface or the ability for an admin to manage their mailbox directly from the admin view.

I use Barracuda Email Protection to prevent spam and distinguish legitimate emails, ensuring a secure email environment for external communication.

It provides straightforward access to all the information necessary to ensure the organization remains protected.

It would be helpful for Admins to have easy access to potential safe emails to release.

Email Protection helps keep inboxes secure, and we also offer security awareness training to ensure users remain protected.
Powerful Email Security with Intuitive Interface and Smart Automation
What do you like best about the product?
That is a very powerful tool with a simple interface that covers all of our gaps in email security filtering as well as having some automation features, AI and reporting. The support is excellent with quick response times and it was very easy to train our employees on how to allow and block emails on their own.

The phish alarm button can have constant issues through the day.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It covers all of our gaps in email security filtering, help us to stop real phishing attacks and a lot of spam that doesn't get to our end employees.
