I appreciate how Barracuda Email Protection effectively shields our employees from phishing, impersonation, and spam, ensuring a secure email environment. I love its ability to heavily regulate our emails while maintaining a user-friendly interface, making it easy for everyone in the organization to use. The automation in incident response is particularly valuable, allowing me to be more hands-off while empowering users to easily flag suspicious emails. This automation streamlines our security processes and enhances our overall efficiency. The integration with Outlook is seamless, ensuring smooth operations and minimal disruption to our existing workflow. Overall, these features make Barracuda Email Protection an indispensable tool for safeguarding our communication channels.
What do you dislike about the product?
Bulk email handling needs improvement, as there are too many false positives. Important emails often get flagged as bulk, requiring manual addition to an exception list. The system should allow for a configurable number of emails before they get flagged, to reduce manual intervention and false positives.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Barracuda Email Protection to safeguard against phishing, impersonation, and spam. It automates incident response, allowing users to flag suspicious emails easily, making email management seamless.
Efficient Spam Filtering, Exceptional Support
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Barracuda Email Protection effectively weeds out spam and junk emails, making our email management much clearer and more organized. Once we found the right balance for scanning settings, such as adjusting the scale, checking DMARC and DKIM configurations, and appropriately whitelisting or blacklisting certain emails, we can essentially leave it to operate on its own. This ease of management reflects the software's reliability and efficiency. I also appreciate how easy the initial setup was; even when encountering issues, the support team is helpful and provides assistance readily. All in all, the seamless experience and robust functionality of Barracuda Email Protection give me the confidence to highly recommend it to others, as evidenced by my 10 out of 10 likelihood to recommend.

I have noticed that some emails are allowed through Barracuda Email Protection, but then Microsoft 365 identifies a bad URL within those emails. I hope Barracuda Email Protection improves its scanning capabilities to better detect such threats.

I really appreciate Barracuda Email Protection's ability to efficiently filter and sort emails from all users within our company, especially when integrated with Microsoft 365. Its functionality to easily create a readable list of emails makes monitoring straightforward and clear. I find it extremely useful that I can see the reasons behind undelivered messages, enhancing transparency and understanding of email issues. The feature that automatically blocks messages from blacklisted sites is particularly effective, increasing our email security significantly. I am impressed with the software's virus and scam message scanning capabilities, as they provide an added layer of protection against common threats.
What do you dislike about the product?
I experience a number of false positives, which require me to retrieve messages that shouldn't have been filtered out. This is frustrating as it indicates the filters, particularly DKIM, DMARC, and PKIM, don't function as effectively as they should. Furthermore, I feel that the system should automatically block messages when the email headers clearly indicate a problem, such as a 'KILL Level 6' or when a domain doesn't authorize a specific user. Additionally, the initial setup was time-consuming and took a couple of days to fully configure everything.
