Writing Procedures for the Texas Rocket Engineering Laboratory for Hotfire Test

  • March 09, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the different ways to present all the steps and notes. For example, the note/caution/warning features allow me to emphasize some important parts and note others.
What do you dislike about the product?
When working with input tables, the rows cannot be moved with drag and drop style of interaction. If I want to move rows around, I have to add new rows, copy and paste the text into the other rows, and shuffle everything around.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Epsilon3 provides a very efficient way for me to write my procedures for my team when conducting test operations. Test operations are high energy in nature and pose lots of risks to personnel and properly if not done correctly. With Epsilon3, we can write and extensively review these procedures so that our test operations are conducted efficiently. Not only that, but because we are student engineers, working with Epsilon3 now prepares us for writing effective operating procedures in industry.

Simplicity within Simplicity

  • March 08, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I think the ability to break everything down, the flow charts are fantastic. The building of a procedure is not complex, alongside the ability for the user to upload files is incredible.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not really have any dislike about Epsilon3. If it could let us know when a file has been uploaded to the procedure for someone specific that would be great so that we could review the files quickly for the person running the procedure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Well, our team hasn't been able to use it yet, but I think this will be entirely beneficial when it comes to deciding how our processes need to flow with our branch of the company. I think this will lead to faster results on how to handle a particular issue for those who have not encountered a specific issue or need a refresher on how to address something.

Awesomely good day to day operations for Support employee.

  • March 08, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Very helpful workflow tool for a demanding situations, so you would not miss a single step when doing your daily tasks. Helpful in crutial situations or when filling out work orders, so you would not miss important details, like: contact's phone number, address, tools for a job. Just AWESOME!
What do you dislike about the product?
Harder to master at first sight, but after doing some of the procedures, it really gets to you. Another small thing to mention: would be awesome to add Dark mode to Epsilon tool!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Procedures helps to summarize information, so you input just required information into required fields, rather than copy-pasting paragraphs of text. This helps to reduce time spend, when reading other employee's work.
Faster ticket or procedure resolution, by reducing time spent searching for information through knowledgebase or other internal tools.

Epsilon3 controls critical procedures in an easy to use way

  • March 08, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Epsilon3 is a high caliber virtual checklist for complicated operations. It provides a single repository for all of the procedures needed to build and operate our sounding rockets.
What do you dislike about the product?
Epsilon3 is mature and useful software. The environment can take a bit to set up if you are bringing in existing procedures, and some process adaptation may be required to fully take advantage of its functionality.
A key workflow that could be better supported is the more straightforward addition of photos to procedure runs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Launching a sounding rocket requires a team of people to execute procedures correctly over several months, with access to the data after the fact. During launch operations these procedures become time and safety-critical. Epsilon3 provides an upgrade over procedures binders that I have used on several past launches. Sync'ed procedures enables multiple people to work on critical operations. Especially for larger organizations the tool provides much better source of truth than trying to revision control paper documents.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the layout and flow from one screen to the next. Having all of the information visible/hidable makes it user-friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside currently is that I can't use it for all facets of my job.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It keeps everything organized when gathering information for an issue. I used to scribble down notes and would forget what each point meant by the end of the call.

Great Organization Abilities

  • March 07, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Allows real-time updates on projects and tasks. The only way to get better is actually to speak with a colleague. This is not always the best option as it requires stopping work on both sides to ask a question.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not found anything - easy lay out, easy to learn.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Answers to common questions about new policy and procedures.
