What do you like best about the product?
Easy to schedule. We take advantage of the multiple location options and the News Feed. Our employees like how easy it is to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Customer Service doesn't know how to fix issues, and unfortunately, this happens often. The News Feed is always out of order and doesn't usually show the newest posts but instead will show posts that are months old. Notifications will stop working randomly and customer service never knows how to fix it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scheduling is much easier than others. The News Feed is the main reason we keep using Deputy.

Using Deputy for Work

What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to navigate on the website and through the app. Useful for timekeeping at work, whether clocking in and out of shift or lunch break. Documents can be located readily.
What do you dislike about the product?
Company decided to switch from Deputy to PayCom. Unsure of the cost differences, but most likely may have been a higher cost. In terms of software, Deputy was more user friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used Deputy at my previous job and at the beginning of my current job for managing timesheets and tax documents. The benefits I realized is that it was very smooth and easy to navigate.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Yes, I highly recommend Deputy to others as it's one of the best applications I ever encountered for work.

Sometimes the program would be glitchy, but overall it works well.

What do you like best about the product?
Deputy is a very easy way to schedule staff, and integrates well with the other platforms we use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the integrations can be tricky.

Deputy is an affordable scheduling tool that definitely beats spreadsheets to craft weekly schedules.

What do you like best about the product?
It is really easy to use! My whole team communicates for scheduling and reacts. Keeps group chats together and organized. User friendly and step by step directions!
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I dislike is there isn't a way to put an actual schedule within the chats. It is more of a company wide chat room rather a scheduler. I wish it could be both.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scheduling and organization! It keeps everything for our company in one spot rather 900 different group chats. It is definitely a more effective way to communicate with teams.

What do you like best about the product?
Good, easy solution for simply allowing employees punching in and punching out. The kiosk feature works well and is the main feature we use. It allows some useful features such as taking a photo. There are also options to allow users to record time on their own mobile device with geofencing.
What do you dislike about the product?
The scheduling feature is not very robust or intuitive. At the time we signed up, it was supposed to integrate with Netsuite but this functionality is not operational currently and the last we heard, they're working on it but no exact timeframe. Some employee management features, such as setting/retrieving PIN codes, archiving employees, etc., are buried in strange places in the interface and difficult to access.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides a lightweight, portable solution for recording employee time with minimal expense. The timesheets generated are easy to review, approve, and export.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to clock in and out of work from your phone!
What do you dislike about the product?
This product could be better with an easier way to clock in and out; I feel like there are steps required for clocking in and out that should not be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes it very easy to clock in without my computer, I can just do it from my phone! The app has made things very convenient!

Easy Kiosk App for Employee Clock In/Out!

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of setup and end-user experience is the best part. Approving my employee's hours and keeping things straight is also very easy. They also have integration with Gusto's payroll service if you want to use that as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing on their part. I did have to upgrade my iPad because eventually, you can keep updating the app. That's an Apple issue, though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking my employees working hours/breaks, getting that info into Gusto, and the notes function where employees can let me know if they had any issues.

What do you like best about the product?
It has an app and it allows you to clock in once you're in range of the office.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing that I really dislike other than maybe not being able to see the remaining PTO or request PTO through Deputy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy clocking in and out, you don't have to wait to log onto your computer (which sometimes eats up time) to clock in.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the phone application, user friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Very hard to get a hold of technical suppport.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Current problems: Not able to export timesheets for some employees, Wrong regular and overtime calculations for some employees, Texas Department of Labor feature not working. It has been over ten days, and they haven't been able to fix any of the issues. It's tough to get technical support to repond.

Benefits: No benefits for my current issues so far.
