All-in-One Recording Made Easy—Great Features and Improved Reliability
What do you like best about the product?
It's made it so easy to record, edit, and promote from one location. They are perpetually updated and adding new features. Whether you are a beginner who needs simple record and edit functions, or you're more skilled and can utilize the full capacity, Riverside has thought of it all.
What do you dislike about the product?
While I am not experiencing this issue anymore, I did have trouble with upload speeds in the past, which resulted in losing a recording. However, the customer service team was helpful and addressed the problem. Since then, I haven't encountered this issue again.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Holding conversations internationally for an arts-related podcast. Disseminating these ideas and finding new audiences
Riverside Delivers Pro-Quality Podcasting
What do you like best about the product?
Riverside has completely raised the bar for how I produce podcasts and remote content.
As someone who’s spent 20+ years in audio, I don’t hand out praise lightly, but Riverside absolutely delivers. The platform gives me studio-quality sound and video every single time, and that reliability lets me focus on what matters most: the story, the energy, and the guest experience.
I love how intuitive it is for both hosts and guests, and the local recording feature has saved me more than once. It’s built for pros, but it’s so user-friendly that anyone can step in and sound like a seasoned creator.
For me and for PJT Ventures, it’s become a core piece of the production workflow. Riverside doesn’t just make podcasting easier…. it makes it better. 🎙️

What do you dislike about the product?
While I’m a huge fan of Riverside, there are a few small things I’d love to see improved. Upload times can run a little long after longer sessions, so I’ve learned to plan around that part of the workflow. Some first-time guests still need a bit of coaching to get their mic or camera permissions right before recording, which can slow down the start of a session. I also wish the mobile app had more of the same power and flexibility as the desktop version — it works fine for quick recordings, but it’s not quite as robust for full productions. And on the organizational side, managing multiple track downloads could be a bit smoother with a smarter naming or sorting system. None of these are deal-breakers, but they’re areas that, if refined, could make an already great platform even better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside solves the biggest pain points I used to face in remote production…. unreliable connections, inconsistent audio quality, and complicated guest setups. Before, I’d spend too much time troubleshooting tech issues instead of focusing on the actual conversation. With Riverside, that stress is gone. It records each participant locally in studio-grade quality, so even if someone’s Wi-Fi hiccups, the final product is clean and professional. The built-in tools streamline my entire process..from recording and editing to file delivery…which means faster turnarounds and more polished content for my clients. It’s also made remote interviews and collaborations feel effortless, giving me the freedom to work with anyone, anywhere, without sacrificing sound quality. For PJT Ventures, that reliability translates directly into happier clients, smoother sessions, and a stronger creative reputation.

At the moment, I don't have any feedback as I am still in the process of learning all the features and functionality.

This application offers a seamless editing suite and smooth integration, all within a single platform. Additionally, it makes it easy for my guests to log in.
Intuitive Platform with Impressive Features and Room to Grow
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is extremely intuitive, and although it offers far more features than I currently use, it's reassuring to know that those options are available should my team or I ever need them. I have the impression that they are constantly adding new features to make the platform more versatile.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing that I dislike about Riverside!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When I started using Riverside, I had previously relied on Zoom to record our podcast. My ministry partner and I live in different states, but our editor struggled to get good audio quality from Zoom. One of the features I appreciate most about Riverside is the ability to record separate audio channels for each participant. This is especially useful when we interview one or two guests, as each person’s audio is captured on its own track. With these separate channels, our editor can adjust or enhance one person’s voice without affecting the others. This is particularly helpful when there are differences in volume, interruptions, or when one track sounds like it was recorded in an echoey room. As a result, our podcast now sounds much more professional.
Another issue Riverside has helped us solve is connection problems. If I understand correctly, each participant’s audio is recorded locally and then uploaded individually. This means that even if one of us has a poor connection, the recording quality isn’t affected. The editor can then seamlessly combine the separate tracks once they’re uploaded. This has been a huge benefit for us, since it’s rare that both of us have a flawless connection at the same time.

Riverside, What's Not To Love?!
What do you like best about the product?
What's not to love, honestly! Riverside is a dream platform where you can record, edit, caption, customize your podcast clips and episodes; all in one place! Not to mention all the extras with audio clean up and now AI? Riverside is unstoppable! What's a great tool without an easy to use platform? The value in Riverside is that anyone can use it! I also love magic clips, being able to export clips while editing, and making comments so you can go back and edit those moments you want to share as highlights! No more running back through your whole show, Riverside makes it easy to tag or clip out moments AND it even does it for you with Magic Clips. Like I said, what's not to love?! Riverside having the capability to distribute straight to social or media platforms is immensely helpful!
What do you dislike about the product?
My only critique is that you have to click and make a few selections to correct before correcting, It really should be one click and then edit, just like any other typos you correct. I also don't like that when it comes to captions, you can't always correct them and have the audio match. Meaning the audio will follow what you take out - even if you're trying to provide a social handle and you edit the phrase to be one word. Riverside audio won't read the whole word.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside makes captioning so much simpler than Adobe Premiere. Riverside providing magic clips and AI enhanced video, AI notes; all extremely helpful. Magic video edit cuts down editing time - as well as the feature that removes ums and fluff.
Intuitive Editing and Pro Sound, But Needs Smoother Controls
What do you like best about the product?
Ideal for productivity and speed and ease.
As someone new to this type of software, I have appreciated the simple interface and AI assistant. Editing is intuitive and provides the sound level mastering with the click of a button. This makes my recordings sound like they're recorded on a top of the line and mastered by a pro.
This software makes the published product appear as if a team of people have produced it. While I have not endeavored to make more complex videos involving multiple cuts and scenes, it has been perfect for long recorded shoots of the same speakers.
Video quality output is always excellent. Real-time recording and editing doesn't use the full resolution that will apply to your final exported project. This means you're freeing RAM to do your studio work and recording. Final exports are usually ready in under 10 minutes.
The software team are always quick to respond to any driver errors or outages and keep users updated with multiple real-time notifications. I have NEVER lost work or a recording after using the software for 7 months.
Integrating with other platforms for direct upload and publishing continues to improve every month with new platforms as options. For example, you can now post Youtube and Youtube Shorts directly from Riverside studio so there's no extra downloading and uploading. Big time saver and guarantees quality.
It's well priced for what you get! Better than hiring someone to do all this work for you or sub-contracting and waiting on their schedule.

What do you dislike about the product?
Perhaps not what a traditional creative or producer, who wants to control EVERY aspect and detail, would prefer.
Cutting and pasting in the editing process lags at times.
There is no way to change volume levels for music with timing cues. With a more complex editor you would be able to fade volumes up and down at chosen points; this currently is not an available feature.
It would also better to be able to turn off AI suggestions and created content from automatic to requested.
Scheduling sessions using the Riverside calendar should not be a feature behind the paywall. With a low-tier membership you can still only schedule 3 events at a time so you'll need to plan your recordings on an external calendar of some kind.
The layout of Projects could be 'cleaner' and have a more organized interface.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside solves my sound quality concerns. It masters your sound automatically with AI and allows you adjust preferences for the finished sound. This cuts out the need for more expensive microphones, sound audio level boxes connected to your mic, or professional sound technicians.

What do you dislike about the product?
It's not free :) Of course, I know a premium product like Riverside can't be free, nor should it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don't need to constantly update or upgrade costly video editing software. This is the main reason I stopped using Adobe products.
