Riverside is Great For Rural Creators

  • December 21, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As someone who started this podcast with unreliable internet in a rural community, it was invaluable that Riverside records the files locally and uploads them later. It made interviews that would have been nearly impossible to record with decent quality audio and video become well-produced podcast episodes.
What do you dislike about the product?
So the thing that has bugged me about it, and I think this is mostly fixed now, but the edit function, and especially when I tried to download an edit from the web, it would crash my browser. I could eventually get it to work, but it would sometimes take multiple tries to get it working well enough to download the edit I wanted.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I like that it provides a decent chunk of web storage for these interview recordings. Initially, I only used Riverside for the interview segments of the podcast, but I've started using it for every part of it, intros, transitions, ect. It is really easy to capture videos and share them with editors. You can easily share a link with someone you're working with and they can download the raw video and audio files in the best possible quality. It's really great for podcast production.

  • December 21, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how simple it is to use but at the same time with how simple it is you don’t lose any professional quality.
What do you dislike about the product?
I just wish the AI b-roll feature worked better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem they solve is studio quality sound for a person on a low budget.

Effortless Setup and Workflow Simplification for Podcasts

  • December 19, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Setting up the studio was really easy. I like that it was uploading while we were recording as well. The magic clips and the AI clips have simplified my workflow for the podcast.
What do you dislike about the product?
It hasn’t been simple to upload some of my existing content to the site to build into my workflow. That has been the only challenge so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest issues I was having was around the workflow for publishing my podcast. Riverside collapses that workflow because now I don’t necessarily need to leave the application. Instead of doing the work across 3 or 4 or 5 applications, I can do it with 1. That is huge. Riverside is better than using Zoom because it was designed for content creators to make their work simpler.

Excellent Audio Recording and Editing Features

  • December 17, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that how it handles audio recordings. The editing feature is great. The Help resources were very important in our learning. And I like the ease of sharing to external platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't use AI, so that part could be removed from the platform and I wouldn't miss it. We also use another tool to add intro/outro music, so it would be good to know if Riverside would support us in that effort instead of adding another tool to the mix.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is allowing us to podcast without being audio professionals.

Effortless Setup and Impressive Usability for All Ages

  • December 17, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As a nutritionist without a technical background, I truly appreciate how easy it is to set up and run my STUDIO. The process of getting started, testing, and bringing guests on board is remarkably straightforward—even Dr. Richard Louis Miller, who is 82 years old, found the technology impressive. The overall production experience demonstrates what a well-designed product should be.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside is that there isn't a feature that makes it appear as though you're looking directly at the camera instead of the screen.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
REMOTE PODCASTING

Riverside a must have

  • December 17, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It’s ease and smooth edits make it the best site to use for my podcast.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to be honest, actually the price but working to save up for next year and renew it when the time comes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to have audio, video and being able to edit flawlessly to get a better podcast out to my listeners.

Highest quality video and TV studio integration.

  • December 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the fact that video is being recorded locally on the guest's computer ensuring highest quality. And the fact that that video is uploaded automatically to the platform. So smart!
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love to have a timer that we can setup and everyone who is connected to be able to see that timer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to make live interviews with guests on any part of the world and bring them directly into our TV studio.

Easy to Use (really) and High-Quality Capture with lots of Features

  • December 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of high quality capture, and I like the interface
What do you dislike about the product?
The setup of the different "studios" has proven to be a little difficult. I have been looking for a way to edit the name of one, and it was not to be found. It would be nice to have SOME kind of noise removal while recording. Overall though, im really impressed with the features and the ability to get a double ender.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me to record a podcast with multiple guests remotely, and have high quality isolated audio (we also use the video but less so)

The best video podcasting software I've used.

  • December 15, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful thing about Riverside is the contained recording environment. It allows me to record with guests without those guests needing any special software or downloads. That allows me and the guests to focus on the conversation, and content, rather than having to worrying about infrastructure. I also like the Magic Clips that are created. It often gives me a great starting point for promotional clips.
What do you dislike about the product?
The least helpful things are some of the AI features where it alters the eyes of the people on screen. It doesn't look right and is a little bit creepy in my opinion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A comprehensive solution for recording and editing my video podcast. Because I can record, edit and publish all within the same product, it makes my workflow very smooth, and consistent.

Effortless Video Clips and One-Click Editing Features

  • December 15, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Automatically creates short video clips with titles from podcast. Editing features are also easy to use with single click (e.g. studio sound quality, removing pauses, transition words, etc.)
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not able to use my transparent logo as my background.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I started using Microsoft Teams to record my new podcast but started to experience video quality issues that I could not resolve. I switched to Riverside, and the video issues have not just resolved but I have more options to improve the overall quality of the episodes with various features the app provides. It also saves me time by automatically creating short videos with titles from the podcast.
