  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I'm blown away at how many bells, whistles, and incredible features are available to us without needing to upgrade our subscription constantly. Also, what may be even more incredible, is how deeply this team actually LISTENS to and engages with the Riverside user community! They're active, engaged, innovative, and communicative. Riverside has allowed me to take my podcast, social media, and content marketing to a whole new level!
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it's a little glitchy during the live recording, but that's few and far between. Overall it's a great user experience for both the host and the guest!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
High quality podcast video and audio recording, social media clip content with captions & easy editing, excellent AI tools to accelerate our workflow.

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Riverside for 2 years now and I absolutely love it. The quality is unbeatable and it’s easy to use too. It made starting my podcasts a reality because the learning curve wasn’t too demanding.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like it all really. Some features I don’t use like the screen grabs because the picture is usually terrible so that should be editable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Streamlining my podcasting experience. The audio editing is incredible.

Perfect for Beginners—Effortless Recording and Editing

  • October 24, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
This has been the easiest tool to use for someone who has zero experience in the recording and editing world! I use Riverside multiple times a week and it is always great. It implements and integrates seamlessly with my other tools as well. I have not had to contact customer support yet so I can not attest to that but everything else has been wonderful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I will be completely honest. From my experience thus far, the few things I would have disliked about Riverside ended up being user error. I have no complaints. The only thing I could say is when I log in it always gives me a weird error message but nothing is ever wrong that I can tell.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I decided to start a podcast on a whim and it has been the easiest thing I have had to learn since doing so. I have no problems.

Improving the quality of startup's presentation through the video and audio ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌clarity.

  • October 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I work with startup founders, preparing them for investor demos, and the combination of screen and video recording is just the right thing to do if you want to create a pitch real environment. While founders can share their deck, I am able to see their presentation style and body language which is of great help and in addition, it is of a very high quality. The local recording means a practice session can’t be stopped by the usual wifi hiccup. Later on, we utilize the video editing tool to selecting the moment we want to get your feedback on—such as, a weak answer to a frequently asked question—and we can even go frame by frame to accurately determine the speaker's tone and speed as the audio is so ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌impeccable.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no collaborative annotation tool built-in. It would be great if I could also directly time-stamp my comments onto the video timeline during playback instead of having to use a separate note ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌document.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside addresses the problem of remote coaching, which was inefficient and of low quality. Grainy video and choppy audio made it impossible to provide nuanced feedback on a founder's delivery and presence. The feedback given now is based on a true representation of their performance. The benefit to my clients is a great enhancement of their pitch skills, which results in increased confidence and excellent outcomes in actual fundraising meetings. I have come to rely on it as a tool in my coaching ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌work.

Keeping the qualitative research data in original form.

  • October 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Academic research is a major priority and must always ensure the use of uncompressed local recording. When I, as a PhD researcher, am doing sensitive interviews, I want to make sure that every word and even more, every nuance are captured. Riverside assures that the information that I am gathering is of utmost quality, which is really important for the accurate transcription and later on, for the analysis. The quality of the video is so good that it allows me to study the non-verbal cues as well. Additionally, the professionalism of the platform is of great help when gaining the trust of the interviewees and thereby putting them at their ease which eventually leads to them talking more freely and giving you more authentic conversations.
What do you dislike about the product?
The method through which participants can download their local recording files is sometimes hard to understand for people who are not very good with technology. I am often in the position of having to walk them through it, which can be a small obstacle in the research process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside addresses the very serious issue of how data quality is maintained and improved in qualitative remote research. I was always in danger of losing my valuable data due to audio compression, dropouts, or platform glitches. At this point, I keep a high-quality and verifiable record of every interview. The benefit is solid, trustworthy data for my dissertation, more credibility with my academic committee, and the freedom to carry out research with geographically diverse participants while still adhering to the strictness of the research methods.

Greatly jamming and recording albums from different parts of the world without any problem.

  • October 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Riverside ultra-low latency and impeccable sound quality are the primary factors that keep our band going and members live in different time zones. We use Riverside to have our weekly jam sessions and to record song ideas. The thing that makes it different from other video tools is that the compressor used in video conferencing tools to reduce audio quality is not used in Riverside. This is the main reason why it feels almost real-time to us and thus we are able to play in sync. The existence of separate high-quality WAV files for each instrument and vocal means our producer could act as if all of us were in one studio and be able to mix our sessions to create one track. It is, therefore, the closest thing to being in the same room.
What do you dislike about the product?
During the live session, we would be really happy if we had more control over the audio mix in our headphones. At the moment, we have to do a rough mix beforehand, and it is sometimes difficult to get the perfect balance so that everyone can hear each other clearly while playing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside is the only thing that has made it possible for our band to keep making music together even when we are far apart. It solved the problem of musical collaboration being limited by geography. The benefit is that we’ve been able to write and record an entire album remotely, maintaining the creative spark and sonic quality we need, without the prohibitive cost and logistics of flying to a central recording studio.

The Engine Behind Our Social Media Video Strategy

  • October 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Riverside‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ is basically the perfect tool for my team because of the integration between recording and editing. For instance, a live interview with a designer is easily transformed into a long-form YouTube video right there in the same platform by just using the inbuilt video editor. Meanwhile, the audio editor is used to create snippet clips for a podcast. The different tracks feature is very helpful in audio enhancement when there is some sort of noise in the background. Also, the quality of the screen recording is just right for making short, and easy-to-understand product care ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌guides.
What do you dislike about the product?
When‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ we have a very short time to post on social media, the highest quality 4K video rendering can take quite a while. We've gotten used to it, and the last quality is always deserving of the waiting ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ is the solution to our problem of creating a constant flow of top-notch video content for several channels in a cheap way. We can respond quickly and be flexible. The result is a significantly higher rate of social media engagement, a more recognizable brand, and the capacity to share our story in a more genuine and less expensive ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌manner.
