Great recording tool & customer support

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, easy to edit, has great customer support, and the price is good as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not a dislike but would like to see more functions for editing, for example, importing sound bites, and being able to toggle between tracks (speakers).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed a way to record podcast audio and video, Riverside allows this to happen and records multiple tracks. Even when we had the video switched off Riverside was able to capture this for us.

Easy to use, high-quality recordings, well designed and seemingly reliable

What do you like best about the product?
I'm new to podcasting and the interface and interaction with other software has been very easy to grasp. I love the fact that I can download each element separately — high def audio + video for each participant. Sharing the link with my podcast guests is a breeze and the fact that all our audio/video recordings are done at source, rather than over the internet, is an amazing benefit. Terrible connection? Who cares! The audio will be pristine as it's recorded on my guest's local hard drive.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I could switch between split screen and full screen at different points in the recording.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's enabling me to easily record podcasts.

Best Web Based Studio Out There!

What do you like best about the product?
I really like how it records on each person's computer then uploads! This is very helpful in getting the best possible quality and gives us great content to work with.
What do you dislike about the product?
The editor is not the best, you can't expand the video or audio as your are editing it to see it smaller and so its always a guessing game of where you're cutting it. Also, it would be great to be able to change the standard background of the video.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I record both a video podcast and regular podcast in it, and it really helps us to keep the quality up, stay organized and have a professional studio that we know wont fail us.

What do you like best about the product?
The majority of my podcast episodes are interviews with guests across the globe. I'm pleased with them. I love, also how I can create clips for Youtube shorts or IG reels.
What do you dislike about the product?
The ability to easily set up studios. Wish they had a search feature. I have to scroll through dozens of episodes to find what I want. Also, it seems to take a long time to restore episodes from the archives.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to interview guests (even ones who are technically challenged) from across the globe.

Great vision, not quite there yet on execution

What do you like best about the product?
I really do love the promise of all-in-one podcasting. I appreciate how easy it is to grab my guests' audio and vieo files, and the compressed audio exports for both solo and guest recordings have generally sounded good. I've seen some feedback about the audio and video not syncing well, but I've not had a noticeable issue with that yet.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their editing tools just aren't there yet, which is unfortunate because that's the main reason I bought in on the paid plan. The *idea" of being able to edit and export video straight to Spotify/Anchor is fantastic, but I've found that editing video within Riverside is a nightmare. It requires constant browser refreshes (on a brand new, fully updated computer and with a cache-cleared browser). Additionally, the ability to accurately select certain clips/timestamps is next to impossible. There also seem to be constant bugs or issues with the editing page - not being able to scroll down, videos not loading or freezing (and then having to re-start the entire editing process). I'm hanging on to my purchase for a few more months because I really do love the direction of the product... but at the moment it's quite frustrating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Theoretically, the all-in-one recording and editing solves the need to use multiple platforms/software/tools, which is enticing...but I almost always have to use another tool anyway because of the issues with Riverside's editing tools.

Great Virtual Podcasting Experience

What do you like best about the product?
That it exports in 4k, records locally, and has the ability to schedule studios.
What do you dislike about the product?
Depending on Internet connection - communication with video can become pixelated.

High quality audio recording by recording virtual interviews locally on each party's device.

Riverside changed my professional life!

What do you like best about the product?
Riverside makes possible what I truly didn't know was possible in the Zoom world: HIGH-QUALITY video recordings!! When I started my job in marketing, I asked users to send me video testimonials, but they were often unusable because the person didn't set their phone at a good angle or didn't address all the topics I wanted them to talk about. Now, I interview people in real time and direct them on how to adjust their laptops/phones, and Riverside enables me to have the high quality video and audio I need and couldn't get before!! Fingers crossed that this platform overtakes Zoom, it's so so so much better and a blessing to my professional life. Also, Riverside has AMAZING customer service, I really appreciate that.
What do you dislike about the product?
There was bit of a learning curve in the beginning to figure out how to get the highest quality videos out of my interviews. I figured it out with some testing and help from customer service. The only other thing I dislike is the price packaging from "pro" to "teams" - the insane price jump ensures that more people in my company won't make the switch from Zoom to Riverside, which is unfortunate, and the idea of "just make your own account for yourself" is off-putting to people who don't absolutely need it like I do.

Also, the "add marker" feature is hard to figure out, it would be great if that was simpler/more intuitive.

Riverside makes possible what I truly didn't know was possible in the Zoom world: HIGH-QUALITY video recordings!! What do you like best about the product?
Riverside was prompt and the IT customer service rep stuck with me through numerous emails until we got the problem resolved.
What do you dislike about the product?
For my particular situation, I have no complaints.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It was a situation where I decided I needed to change my email on my account in order to set up my RSS feed. Riverside was able to help me get the correct email set up for my RSS feed.

What do you like best about the product?
I've had interviews where the internet connection was not the best, thus providing a very fuzzy recording throughout the interview. As Riverside.fm records locally on everyone's computer, the picture and sound turned out great. I thought I would have to send a camera with a microphone to all the participants, but that hasn't been the case with this software. It's easy to use and particularly exceptional if you want to create a soundbite to send out to your audience with their Editing software in three different frame types for Story, Post or Full Length. They help you decide which size by what social media you plan to use.

I also really like how I can have more than one video per studio and keep everything about that episode in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
I did have one recording that has choppy consistent background noise that was throughout an entire 1 our episode. I cannot figure out how to clean it out of the recording in Adobe Premiere Pro.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They have been very good at responding to my issues.
