Game changer for podcasting
What do you like best about the product?
High and low quality files, super easy to use, being able to store recorded files in Riverside.

Requires a lot of bandwidth, browser limitations (Chrome only)

It has just streamlined the production process with a simple end to end, high quality result.

Riverside makes it easier for me to produce higher quality podcast episodes by taking out a lot of the heavy lifting on the tech side of things.

Sometimes there are some bugs, and the editing features could be better. But it's improving every day.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes it easy to produce higher quality podcasts. The individual audio tracks and local audio capturing are great.
I don't always have a lot of time during the week , so Riverside is a dream to help me get episodes out consistently.

like Zoom without the headaches...
What do you like best about the product?
As a video professional, Riverside.fm was a critical part of my transition to remote production during the pandemic. Now, as traditional modes of production return to normal, I still rely heavily on using Riverside.fm as a regular part of my toolkit to capture the stories of those around the world. The UI is very familiar, yet the experience feels elevated from typical video conferencing and the outputs from the platform are such an improvement over Zoom recordings - It's like night and day.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is the odd hiccup - Limited browser compatibility, as well as limited mobile compatibility has come up most, and I've run into firewall lockouts and small technical glitches here and there, but with the right preparation most of these flags become a non-issue. All in all, the Riverside.fm team seems committed to making the platform better, and I intend to stick around to see what the future holds.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside.fm gives me the highest fidelity files possible in remote recording situations. It also gives me tools to feel confident that user error is practically eliminated from the process of remote production. Additionally, knowing everything is backed up to the cloud helps me sleep better at night.

What do you like best about the product?
Without Riverside.fm my podcast would not be possible. I have one host in Florida and one in LA and without this program recording the podcast at such a high level of quality could not be done. They also have great customer service, and the experience is very user friendly!
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing abour Riverside.fm that I don't love is the in app editor. It's not very easy to use, and is lacking a lot of capability.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to record audio and video remotely at a high quality. Without this program, we would have to use Zoom and a separate local audio recording software, but with them, everything is consolidated and streamlined.
Its very easy to use and does is job. Also very cheap!

Its super easy to use and very quick. i like how you can handle all the roles and zthat you have excellent video formats too. ive now recorded with severel different people and now one had any concerns about it... they all liked it as it is easy to use.

Sometimes it takes a tiny until the data / Recording is being processed, so that you cant listen to it asap... You will come back then after 1-2 minutes. Maybe its also my internet speed i dont know! :)

Im having an online podcast about SLEEP... SUPERSLEEP is its name. so we want to record our interviews in christal clear audio quality and it works. also suing it for video testimonials.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that I dont have to know much about the technical stuff in order to operate it... I like talking to people on my podcast and I need a service that is professional, clear and userfriendly and thats what I got with riverside

no everything works well, sometimes not being able to see the other person clearly is confusing but the recording still works

Great user interface, ease of use and overall high quality experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is a bit expensive, and the inability to download things on the free plan makes it hard to constantly subscribe as a paid user
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Could there be more flexibility with the free plan? It makes it hard for podcasters who are not recording every month
Absolutely does the job for our needs
What do you like best about the product?
Riverside make recorning our youtube videos and podcasts really straight forward. We are able to simply export all of the individual Raw feeds ready for the edit. Our guests find access and setup simple to navigate and we don't know where we'd be without this setup.
What do you dislike about the product?
We see a lag between participants which sometimes makes the edit more challenging that it could be. Rarely, I find that the audio and video is slightly out of sync meaning that I have to split the audio from the video in the edit to get them to align. Not a massive headache though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solved our question of how to create a podcast and a youtube video at the same time as our podcasts refer to a number of graphics that we like to show. Riverside enables us to create both in one sitting.
Easy to use for an amateur
What do you like best about the product?
I was nervous about using Riverside.fm since I am using it to record podcasts and have a wide variety of guests. I was afraid that guests would get confused using anything other than Microsoft Teams or Zoom, but Riverside.fm is set up in a way that it feels familiar to other virtual meeting products, but you get a better end product from the recording.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally my audio and video don't sync. This has never happened with my guests' recordings, just my own, so I'm not sure if it's a problem on my end or not. Either way it's not too difficult to fix when I edit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's giving me one place to record and house my podcast. It's nice knowing that I can jump in the "studio" at any time, record something, and have a high quality version of that recording within minutes.
Superior Product
What do you like best about the product?
Riverside allows all participants in my podcast to record to their local computer, which produces a seamless recording and experience for my viewers. Other tools are dependent on unreliable internet connections, which we all know are not predictable.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was an outlook/google calendar plug in for easier scheduling.

Recording a podcast with 100% remote participants.
