Perfect for Beginners—Effortless Recording and Editing

  • October 24, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
This has been the easiest tool to use for someone who has zero experience in the recording and editing world! I use Riverside multiple times a week and it is always great. It implements and integrates seamlessly with my other tools as well. I have not had to contact customer support yet so I can not attest to that but everything else has been wonderful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I will be completely honest. From my experience thus far, the few things I would have disliked about Riverside ended up being user error. I have no complaints. The only thing I could say is when I log in it always gives me a weird error message but nothing is ever wrong that I can tell.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I decided to start a podcast on a whim and it has been the easiest thing I have had to learn since doing so. I have no problems.

Improving the quality of startup's presentation through the video and audio ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌clarity.

  • October 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I work with startup founders, preparing them for investor demos, and the combination of screen and video recording is just the right thing to do if you want to create a pitch real environment. While founders can share their deck, I am able to see their presentation style and body language which is of great help and in addition, it is of a very high quality. The local recording means a practice session can’t be stopped by the usual wifi hiccup. Later on, we utilize the video editing tool to selecting the moment we want to get your feedback on—such as, a weak answer to a frequently asked question—and we can even go frame by frame to accurately determine the speaker's tone and speed as the audio is so ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌impeccable.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no collaborative annotation tool built-in. It would be great if I could also directly time-stamp my comments onto the video timeline during playback instead of having to use a separate note ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌document.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside addresses the problem of remote coaching, which was inefficient and of low quality. Grainy video and choppy audio made it impossible to provide nuanced feedback on a founder's delivery and presence. The feedback given now is based on a true representation of their performance. The benefit to my clients is a great enhancement of their pitch skills, which results in increased confidence and excellent outcomes in actual fundraising meetings. I have come to rely on it as a tool in my coaching ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌work.

Keeping the qualitative research data in original form.

  • October 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Academic research is a major priority and must always ensure the use of uncompressed local recording. When I, as a PhD researcher, am doing sensitive interviews, I want to make sure that every word and even more, every nuance are captured. Riverside assures that the information that I am gathering is of utmost quality, which is really important for the accurate transcription and later on, for the analysis. The quality of the video is so good that it allows me to study the non-verbal cues as well. Additionally, the professionalism of the platform is of great help when gaining the trust of the interviewees and thereby putting them at their ease which eventually leads to them talking more freely and giving you more authentic conversations.
What do you dislike about the product?
The method through which participants can download their local recording files is sometimes hard to understand for people who are not very good with technology. I am often in the position of having to walk them through it, which can be a small obstacle in the research process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside addresses the very serious issue of how data quality is maintained and improved in qualitative remote research. I was always in danger of losing my valuable data due to audio compression, dropouts, or platform glitches. At this point, I keep a high-quality and verifiable record of every interview. The benefit is solid, trustworthy data for my dissertation, more credibility with my academic committee, and the freedom to carry out research with geographically diverse participants while still adhering to the strictness of the research methods.

Greatly jamming and recording albums from different parts of the world without any problem.

  • October 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Riverside ultra-low latency and impeccable sound quality are the primary factors that keep our band going and members live in different time zones. We use Riverside to have our weekly jam sessions and to record song ideas. The thing that makes it different from other video tools is that the compressor used in video conferencing tools to reduce audio quality is not used in Riverside. This is the main reason why it feels almost real-time to us and thus we are able to play in sync. The existence of separate high-quality WAV files for each instrument and vocal means our producer could act as if all of us were in one studio and be able to mix our sessions to create one track. It is, therefore, the closest thing to being in the same room.
What do you dislike about the product?
During the live session, we would be really happy if we had more control over the audio mix in our headphones. At the moment, we have to do a rough mix beforehand, and it is sometimes difficult to get the perfect balance so that everyone can hear each other clearly while playing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside is the only thing that has made it possible for our band to keep making music together even when we are far apart. It solved the problem of musical collaboration being limited by geography. The benefit is that we’ve been able to write and record an entire album remotely, maintaining the creative spark and sonic quality we need, without the prohibitive cost and logistics of flying to a central recording studio.

The Engine Behind Our Social Media Video Strategy

  • October 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Riverside‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ is basically the perfect tool for my team because of the integration between recording and editing. For instance, a live interview with a designer is easily transformed into a long-form YouTube video right there in the same platform by just using the inbuilt video editor. Meanwhile, the audio editor is used to create snippet clips for a podcast. The different tracks feature is very helpful in audio enhancement when there is some sort of noise in the background. Also, the quality of the screen recording is just right for making short, and easy-to-understand product care ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌guides.
What do you dislike about the product?
When‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ we have a very short time to post on social media, the highest quality 4K video rendering can take quite a while. We've gotten used to it, and the last quality is always deserving of the waiting ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ is the solution to our problem of creating a constant flow of top-notch video content for several channels in a cheap way. We can respond quickly and be flexible. The result is a significantly higher rate of social media engagement, a more recognizable brand, and the capacity to share our story in a more genuine and less expensive ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌manner.

High-Quality Recording That Works Anywhere

  • October 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The development and dependability of the screen recording option are what our training program worldwide mainly rely on. We develop software tutorials and compliance procedural videos for the staff of companies that operate in more than 30 nations. Local recording guarantees that every single step of the process is recorded in perfect HD no matter where the presenter is or how his/her connection is. The fact that the subject matter experts who are video amateurs can record perfect tutorials on their first attempt speaks volumes about the user-friendliness of the product. The quick way to edit and add captions in-platform is of great importance for accessibility.
What do you dislike about the product?
The in-app captioning tool is fine for a quick draft, but the accuracy is not always great when there are complicated technical or compliance terms. We usually have to take the SRT file, and make small changes in a dedicated editor to ensure that it is 100% accurate for legal and regulatory purposes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside helped us to overcome the challenge of producing training materials that are consistent, high-quality, and compliant with the law, and at scale. We used to have videos that were grainy and buffering that made it hard for people to take our content seriously. But today, we churn out clean, great-looking, professional training modules. The benefit is an energized global workforce, a stronger compliance culture, and a great saving of both time and money in the production and updating of essential training content.

Helping‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ the world to understand different local situations through quality stories.

  • October 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Riverside's‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ local recording is a game-changer for me as a documentary filmmaker. I am very often in need of capturing the moment with the best possible footage and also, getting the best audio of the scene but very often I am in such remote locations with an internet connection that is not stable. Recently, I had a remote interview and the interviewee happens to be in a very isolated area where there is almost no internet access, however, we got the highest quality video because everything was recorded to their device. Post-production has become so much easier because we have separate WAV audio files, the audio files being separate from the video give me such flexibility to remove the background noise and make the sound levels even without affecting the video quality.
What do you dislike about the product?
The‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ file management system for the long-term project can get really messy with hundreds of clips. I would really like to have more advanced ways of project-based organization or tagging to keep multi-month documentaries organized in the editing phase.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ has removed the biggest risk of losing a powerful interview due to bad internet connection or some technical problem in remote documentary work. It helps me to collect studio-quality stories from anywhere in the world as it does not restrict me by location. What I gain is the ability to tell more diverse and stronger stories with a level of technical quality which was only achievable with a costly, in-person crew, and I can do it all at a much faster pace with more creative confidence.

Helped Our Remote Sales Demos to Sound Like a Professional Broadcast

  • October 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Our sales department records personalized demo videos and product walkthroughs for the potential customers with the help of Riverside. If you ask me, the most attractive feature must be the ultra-clear screen capture - each click and cursor movement is recorded perfectly. Viewers feel more comfortable and interested when I combine my video feed with the screen share than when they just watch a standard screen recording. The quality of the sound is so great that prospects sometimes say they hear me very clearly. It has become one of the principal ways in which our sales process is different from others.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tool has been designed with interviews in mind, as a result, the workflow for a single person recording is not that straightforward though still doable. To get the isolated tracks, I need to pretend that I am both the "host" and the "guest." Since there are very few branding options, I can't simply add a custom intro or outro without having to use another editing tool. The time taken for a recording to be processed and ready for download is not immediate, so if you have a tight schedule, you need to plan in advance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The issue regarding the sales communication that are depersonalized, have little impact on the audience and cause a loss of prospect attention is the point which Riverside solves. Prospects did not take the time to see the generic screen recordings accompanied with poor audio. The creation of bespoke, high-quality demo videos that look professional and are custom-made is now possible for us because of Riverside. The main outcome is a higher engagement rate on our outreach, more effective handoffs to the product team, and a shortened sales cycle as prospects can clearly see and hear the value of our solution.

Studio-Quality Recording Without The Studio Price Tag

  • October 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Riverside delivers broadcast-quality results with remarkable consistency. The local recording feature is its crown jewel - it captures pristine audio and video directly from each participant's device, eliminating the anxiety of internet-related glitches. As someone who hosts international guests, the separate, high-fidelity WAV tracks for each speaker have revolutionized our post-production, giving us crystal-clear audio to work with.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the core recording is flawless, the built-in text-based editor can feel a bit basic for complex edits. It's perfect for quick cuts, but for multi-track polishing, we still export to a dedicated editing suite. A slightly more intuitive editor with visual waveform support would make the workflow seamless from start to finish.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside solved our biggest challenge: maintaining professional credibility with remote recordings. Before, unpredictable audio sync and quality issues on other platforms made our content look amateurish. Now, we confidently record high-stakes client presentations and expert interviews, knowing the quality will be impeccable. This has not only elevated our brand's perception but also allowed us to expand our content offerings significantly.
