Seamless Tool for High-Quality Tech Demos
What do you like best about the product?
I've loved using Riverside as a software engineer (bold, italic, strikethrough, link, list, quote, code,…) and it feels so easy to use even for remote hires, when we want to pull people in to record with us remotely, after a 30 second tutorial (editor review job board). It was easy to use — I had it up and running in 15 minutes and injected it easily into my Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and Final Cut Pro X workflow for post production editing. Customer service has been responsive! The wealth of features — such as AI-based clipping and separate audio tracks — distinguishes it, and as a bonus, my 4K files should integrate nicely into my editing workflow with little compatibility worries.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only minor downside I encountered has been that the transcriptions are not quite as accurate with tech jargon (though a manual review and adjustment is still quicker than me doing the whole thing myself).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside helps me solve the problem of creating professional looking video remotely, which is necessary for me when working through code with distributed teams. By doing all the heavy-lifting of high-fidelity capture (and easy export to my favourite editors), it’s freed up around 40% of the time I was spending tortuously flipping between contexts, so I can focus more on code, and less on production fixes, which is great news for my productivity in sharing what I know with my followers via tech tutorials.
Riverside.fm Takes the Stress Out of Remote Recording
What do you like best about the product?
I’ve been using Riverside.fm for recording and I have to say, it really delivers on what it promises. The biggest win for me is the local recording. Even if someone’s internet glitches during the call, the final recording is crystal clear because everything is captured on each person’s device. That takes away the usual stress of "will this sound okay?"
The interface is clean and simple. I don’t need to waste time clicking around or setting up complicated software - just send a link, and we’re rolling. Guests who aren’t tech-savvy can still join without me walking them through a 10-step process.
Video quality is solid, too. Being able to pull 4K recordings makes editing easier and more professional. The separate audio and video tracks are a lifesaver when it comes to cleaning things up afterward.
Overall, Riverside.fm feels like it was built for creators who care about both quality and ease of use. It cuts out the usual recording headaches and gives me professional-grade files without extra hassle.

What do you dislike about the product?
If I had to nitpick, the editing features built into the platform are fine for quick fixes, but I still prefer taking the files into my own editor for full control. Also, uploads can take a little while depending on the guest’s connection, but that’s just the tradeoff for getting high-quality local files.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside takes the stress out of remote recording. Even if a guest’s WiFi drops, I still get crystal-clear audio and video. It’s easy for anyone to join, and the separate tracks save me a ton of time editing. The end result looks and sounds professional without the usual headaches.
Riverside Increasing My Productivity
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of use, the flexibility and the way I can send invitations out to my guest and schedule them in advance and have it integrate with my gmail. I like that I can record at 4k and download the footage as such. The benefit of having AI tools to assist with noise cancellation and also AI generating specific shots that are good.
What do you dislike about the product?
To be honest I don't like that the subscription is so expensive and the fact that if you want to go live and stream in higher resolution the price gets extremely high. As a creator I am sure you guys already know that there is a lot that goes into this craft of putting out content especially and a higher quality. Although you guys provide it the price has me reconsidering whether I want to continue or explore other platforms.
Also that app needs a bit of work since I can't open up the calendar feature of the desktop app version.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its allowing me to increase productivity as I've set out the call to start doing batch recordings both virtually and in person and the flexibility to do both is huge. Also in having conversations with my guests I love the ability to do a screen share and even share the audio so we can view it together and go through what we're watching on the spot.

What do you dislike about the product?
We haven't had a chance to explore all the features yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had so many individual processes before starting to use Riverside. Now everything is integrated into their platform.
At last, podcast audio that sounds better than ever, in a simple way.
What do you like best about the product?
The second priority of our podcast is sounding like we’re professionals, like we know what we’re talking about. Riverside delivers that effortlessly. The local recording gives you crazy clean, high quality audio of each guest individually, and that's the whole battle right there. It really shines for me in the editing. I’m no audio engineer, but the platform is easy to use, and I handle the edits myself. I can simply delete parts of the transcript and the audio gets deleted automatically. The ability to clean up one person’s audio track without changing all the rest is a life saver when someone’s got a loud fan in the background as a guest or the like. Perfect quality and ease of use for a founder who needs to make a great-sounding show without a big production budget.
What do you dislike about the product?
The audio enhancement features are solid, though I occasionally feel as though they make a voice seem a bit overly worked if you’re not careful about the settings. More suggestions or ‘presets’ for voice microphones or room acoustics might have been nice. The mobile app is also not nearly as full-featured for editing on the fly as the desktop website is.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We addressed the problem of audio consistency with Riverside. In the past, we’d have guests on with different microphones and internet, and you could really hear that somebody was calling in, and it sounded amateurish. Now, every episode sounds consistent and clear, and that helps us recruit more established guests. It saves me hundreds of hours of time and hundreds of dollars that I would have spent on an audio editor I get to plow back into buildin the business. That’s one less thing to worry about.

Great Product especially for a newbie
What do you like best about the product?
The system is pretty intuitive and doesn't require a high learning curve which is great when wanting to concentrate on creating content and not the technical side of using a product.

Sometimes it can be a bit difficult to edit several clips and make them cohesive into one recording.

Cleaning up the audio and removing pauses while also giving me a transcript in my native language, spanish.
The quality and simplicity we needed to produce content in-house
What do you like best about the product?
As a founder, I wear a lot of hats, and joining to produce great content for our readers is one of them. Riverside makes it possible for me to do that in a way that doesn’t make it a second job. The sound quality is great, and the editing is what really saves us time. If I see a cough or a dog barking in the background on my co-founder’s mic, I can fix it without altering the video.” The text-based editor is wonderful — I can read the transcription and delete sentences and the video will be cut for me. And it’s like magic each time. For a two-person operation like so many these days, this ability to aptly make and assign tasks to one another is everything. We can tape a customer interview and an hour later have a piece that would have taken a day, two days to produce.
What do you dislike about the product?
The captions need a lot of tweaks to be totally accurate, especially with industry jargon, but the auto-generated clips are fair game for social media. I also think that it's a bit messy in terms of project organization when you have several clips from the same recording. It’s a little thing, but I wish there were better methods for keeping everything sorted.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside solved our biggest issue, which was sounding and looking good on a startup budget. Now we don’t have to decide between the price of a professional editor and the unpolished look of raw Zoom call. The audio quality alone has turned our podcast into a real and legitimate sounding show, which has in turn helped secure us much better guests. Now we are producing professional quality video testimonials and product demos that actually represent how good the software is. It’s now an essential asset for growing our brand.
