Good tool, the best support

  • July 30, 2025

What do you like best about the product?
We’ve been using Riverside.fm for our interviews and it’s been a real time-saver. It handles poor internet connections surprisingly well and helps us avoid issues with microphone quality. Even when something goes wrong during a recording, the local tracks stay clear and reliable. Highly recommended for remote interviews!
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing that could be improved is the clarity of the recordings download panel – it's already better than it used to be, but it could still be more intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside saves us a lot of time – we usually have three people in an interview, and the platform automatically records and syncs separate tracks for each of us, making the editing process much faster and easier.

Easy enough for a solopreneur and advanced enough for the rest

What do you like best about the product?
It's very intuitive I can do solo recordings as well as have guests on for my podcast. I turn all of my videos from Riverside into YouTube's and recording on Riverside allows the virtual assistant to edit create thumbnails add subtitles etc. I like that you can export to share in many formats as well. High def video and audio with ability to clean up before exporting.
What do you dislike about the product?
It only takes once but when I was recording with a guest they had really poor internet capabilities and we ended our session but and before the tracks were all uploaded, we disconnected. It then took Herculean efforts to have him go back re-log in and leave his computer open for several hours to finish his upload. It will never happen again as now I keep everybody on the line until all the tracks are uploaded
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me as a bootstrapping solopreneur to create content and give the link to Virtual assistance that are outsourced to help me with my YouTube and my podcast. I don't have to rent a formal podcast studio and I'm able to do guest spots with people wherever they are in or out of this country. I love that the platform is flexible enough to do that and that the two of us do not have to meet in a room somewhere.

What a wonderful platform for podcasting

  • July 29, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's very easy to use, it's reliable and the audio quality is better than we've had on other platforms. It has a huge suite of features some of which we use and some of which we don't. It's really easy to record our weekly movie podcast using Riverside's and we are able to do everything we need with the free tools. We only have an audio podcast though, if we were streaming or hoping to have a video podcast, we would need to upgrade to their paid tools which seem fairly priced.

It's easy to guests to join our podcast. They just click the link and join the web chat. Everyone's audio is uploaded on their end so we get clear and quality audio.

This is THE platform if you're trying to produce your own podcast. It works great. Stop recording your terrible sounding Zoom audio and start using Riverside.

While we don't use the AI or video features, they have some really advanced features. If we were making video, I love that they create video snippets automatically that I could share on social media. I also like that they have audio and video enhancement features using AI (even if AI content generation is creepy in general).
What do you dislike about the product?
I have very few complaints. My one complaint is that the process to export a recording is a bit clunky. It takes a few steps to find the recording and then takes a while to export to download (I edit using an offline program).

Riverside also produces a "magic edit" that I don't think is valuable. It uses AI to remove silences but it seems very unnatural. For a while my recording was defaulting to magic edit, but it seems that's been fixed.

I wish there was a longer than 2 hour high quality audio capacity on the free version and that only the video features were premium, but I understand the business needs to incentivize subscriptions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It gives us a central platform to host and record our audio platform. It also has audio tools to edit and clean up the recording.

Riverside is a gamechanger

What do you like best about the product?
I love using Riverside because it is so easy and convenient, and they always "Roll out the red carpet" for me. I love the intuitive-ness and the AI that they use to create clips for me and even help write show notes for me !
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the project feature, It isnt always the most user friendly when it comes to navigation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside offers me a better experience for my guests. It also solves the problem of poor quality video and audio. Since migrating to Riverside my quality output has increased drastically.

Best Quality Video Recordings for Podcasters

  • July 29, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Simple to use with guests and excellent recording quality. Guests don't have to download or install anything, and the recording quality is better than any other web based meeting tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
About one in 100 times we have a technical issue with a guest that is difficult to solve.

Riverside's live chat is quick to respond while we are in the studio, and I understand all platforms can occasionally have issues with different hardware and setups.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use riverside to record our video podcast. It allows us to get the best quality video from our guest, and is easy for our guests to join from a link in a calendar invite, without having to download anything to their computer.

It is simple to setup and use so we can focus on recording a great show.

Novice Podcaster Loves Riverside

  • July 28, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I started my podcast one year ago knowing nothing about creating a podcast. I loved listening to them but didn't know how I was going to make my podcast idea happen. Riverside.com has made it possible for a novice to start a podcast and make it sound and look good. I have done all my own editing, with the exception of my last two episodes because I wanted to see what a professional editor could do with my podcast. The support from Riverside is great and so are the live trainings and YouTube videos. The cost is VERY reasonable for what you can do on Riverside. As a small business owner I have to watch my budget and the value is really good for what you get.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love a few more intuitive features for novice editors but I know I can watch some of their YouTube videos to learn more.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside is allowing me to record a quality video podcast with people located all over the world. That is allowing me to reach more people to spread awareness of medical trauma and the resources I offer for people wanting to heal.

Easy to use, love the magic clips

  • July 28, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Riverside makes it easy to record podcast if your co-host isn't with you. My cohost and I have been using Zoom + audio files for years - it's SO much easier to have a tool that takes all of the audio + video AND auto-generates clips for you. The editor is easy and feels like other tools I've used. Definitely recommend.
What do you dislike about the product?
It was a little hard to find the right tutorials and I'm not a *skilled* editor, and I couldn't find the right help right away.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside gives me an easy way to film and edit my podcast for circulation and to create clips for social.

Finally, a service that meets my needs as a podcaster!

  • July 28, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Riverside makes it beyond easy to record, edit and enhance my podcast in a way no other platform has for me since I started uploading to YouTube and Spotify. It even helps make clips to share on YouTube Shorts and TikToks to help expand my reach in those spaces as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I was ever confused in was the total allotment of “hours” for high quality separate track audio which as soon as I contacted support they were able to answer all my questions the same time I asked them. Support had been outstanding.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I’ve always been bad about layouts when it comes to video podcasts and Riverside creates a bunch of them for you, for a variety of situations. And if you didn’t love one while you were shooting they even let you edit the layout in the editing process afterwards.

On the audio side one of the pain points I always have is removing dead audio where I am between slides or screen shares. Riverside lets me click one button and all of those dead spaces are instantly gone. Saving me a bunch of editing time each recording.

On top of that being able to edit based off of the transcript is really useful for me.

Riverside Review

  • July 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love that I’m able to record my show with my co host who’s in another town or guests. Even if the WiFi is a bit spotty, riverside is still recording and it’s not difficult to fix any problems I may have.
What do you dislike about the product?
I’m not sure if I have anything I dislike about riverside. Some things like the ai generated content is still a work in progress, so I’m not going to gripe on that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside cuts down my time to edit videos. I’m not use to adobe premiere, but riverside competes with it for easy editing for those not knowledgeable about in depth video editing.

A Pro-Level Podcasting Platform That Delivers

  • July 26, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Riverside.fm is its ability to record high-quality, separate audio and video tracks locally, making editing and production incredibly smooth.
What do you dislike about the product?
My main gripe with Riverside.fm is that occasional syncing issues or minor glitches during recording can interrupt the flow, especially with guests who aren’t tech-savvy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside.fm solves the problem of poor-quality remote recordings by capturing high-resolution audio and video locally, which ensures my podcast sounds professional regardless of internet issues.
