Powerful Podcasting Made Surprisingly Simple
What do you like best about the product?
Riverside.fm just feels natural to use. It gets out of the way and lets me focus on creating. The web interface is stellar, especially when it comes to recording and editing. I love that Riverside records high-quality video asynchronously, so I’m not held hostage by internet hiccups. That alone is a game changer.
What really sets it apart is how editing works. I can edit the video simply by editing the transcript. Change a word, and it changes the cut. That’s such a smart feature and a huge time saver. I also use the MacBook desktop app, which works seamlessly.
It’s clear this platform was built by people who actually understand podcasters and the creative process. The whole experience, from layout to support, feels like it was designed with care and intention.

What do you dislike about the product?
Overall, I’ve had a great experience with Riverside.fm, but there are a couple of areas that could improve.
First, while customer support is generally responsive and friendly, it’s inconsistent. I often get a different support rep each time I reach out, and the guidance can vary depending on who responds. Sometimes, the answers even contradict each other, which makes it confusing to know which direction to follow.
Second, I’ve run into limitations with the Eye Contact feature—the one that corrects your gaze so it looks like you’re looking directly at the camera. The feature doesn’t work on videos recorded with a mobile device, including when I’m using my iPhone as a continuity camera through my MacBook desktop app. That limitation doesn’t make much sense to me, and I’d really like to see clarity or improvements there.
Those are relatively small things in the bigger picture, but they stand out because the rest of the platform is so thoughtfully designed.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I’m creating a podcast for the first time while also launching my primary business, and Riverside.fm made that possible. It didn’t just give me the tools—it gave me a full ecosystem of support, from helpful tutorials to publishing partnerships like Spotify for Creators.
Riverside helped me step into podcasting with confidence. It saves me hours of time, especially with editing, and makes the process feel smooth and professional. What surprised me most is that I actually enjoy it. Even though podcasting has taken more time and energy than I first expected, Riverside has made it a genuinely rewarding and accessible experience.

Once exported you can't re-edit, it also takes time and a strong internet connection to export and download so you can then upload to various platforms.

We've grown to have about 150 k viewers weekly.

Podcasting Made Easy!
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and quick response from staff
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think of any downsides or dislikes
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The recording and editing process for my podcast. It's saving me a lot of time and effort and putting out a good product.
Easy & Effective
What do you like best about the product?
It provides a platform for podcast hosts to easily record & edit their projects. It creates an ease to get started when podcasting can already feel like a lot of steps.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it was easier to swap out some of the B-Roll images and add more where you'd like instead of having them auto generate
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was using a different podcast recording platform prior and this one is much easier to get the hang of. It has more features, and overall a better video quality.
Even a non tech person can figure out riverside.fm
What do you like best about the product?
It’s intuitively clickable. I can think of very few times I had to go look for answers. As I began to build a podcast, if i had questions, they were answered by Riverside. Once i got in, if I had questions, there was almost always answers to be found easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am confident that I’m not using it to the fullest extent. I suppose if I’m dreaming, a personal (AI generated) ‘here’s a feature you would benefit from!?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I utilize all the AI editing,, removing fluff, pauses, and even the suggested items. I also use the magic clips to create social media posts.
Riverside is not only the best choice for podcasters, but also any business!!!
What do you like best about the product?
Where to begin? lol No platform or application is perfect but Riverside FM comes closer then any other I have experienced. And they are not resting with there product, they continue to innovate and lead in the podcasting genre, so much other business applications are starting to use them. Riverside was the first I know of to use local recordings of audio and video to combat internet and wi-fi issues. They are cutting edge using AI to streamline editing, producing clips, animation. They have an not well known audience feature for those who don't want to stream live, but still have a live audience. I have edited before and there was a slight learning curve, but as a new person it was very easy to use, especially considered to other products. I use it mainly for podcast but I know I will use it in other applications and have major plans to take my organization forward. They have multiple groups to ask questions so you don't have to call customer service and wait in line. They also have trainings and webinars to help you learn their product and it has opened my eyes to the possibility of options i didn't even think of.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that Riverside doesn't do is host your podcast. You do have to find another hosting site, but that is a small issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating a professional podcast. Before I started this podcast I did a lot of researching and downloaded different types of programs, like DaVinci. I took one look at Davinci and knew I would be lost. I even watched YouTube videos and saw how complicated it was. Davinci final products look fantastic. But it was too advanced for me. I never took any media courses. I have know expertise. I needed a product that I knew I could learn easily and put out a professional product. When I researched Riverside FM - I fell in love with the program and knew it was perfect for me. I also knew the more experience I gained the more I could do and the better my product would be. I knew as I grew - I wouldn't have to change programs because Riverside is good for both inexperienced and experienced. With AI they help the inexperienced, and the more control you want you can do.
Easy Peazy
What do you like best about the product?
Love how easy it is to use. Great quality and guests like it...once they try it!
The couple time I have called support it has been Awesome!!
I implemented this in our company and try to integrate it in our daily use. When we use it frequently the team is thankful but old habits are hard to break for some.

What do you dislike about the product?
Not much...mostly user error. Make sure to tell guests not to click off before the rendering is complete. Best practice. Tell them to hang on at the end for rendering. Then quickly stop recording at end and talk to them. Works every time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
High quality easy to use editing and recording.
Broadcast and record at once is perfect
What do you like best about the product?
Live show and archive ready, launches link prep in under a minute and handles higher viewer counts with ease
What do you dislike about the product?
It has minor visual stutters mid launch and shared screen audio could be made stronger
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Long setup which prevented spontaneous shows was our major problem but impromptu interviews are now a breeze and we can scale reliably when audience numbers grow
Live interview without the tech headache
What do you like best about the product?
It has a clean setup wizard, no downloads needed also keeps audio and video stable even on shaky connections
What do you dislike about the product?
Chat window hides remote hosts at first and video stalls briefly when switching participants
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Guests used to struggle to join calls and crashing streams disrupted our shows but they can now join in seconds with no delays or frustrations and we have a solid broadcast every time we go live
