Solves a clear problem well
What do you like best about the product?
High quality video and audio from the 'other end'. Easy to use interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
When bandwidth is challenged, it gives good video and poor audio. I'd prefer it the other way round.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hosting a podcast with a remote guest
Incredible Product that Continues to Improve
What do you like best about the product?
As someone new to podcasting, this has made podcasting simple for me. Almost everything I need is in one place, and they've contined to add new features in recent months like editable captions and social clip creations that are perfect for promoting the podcast. The "Magic Tools" are literally magic.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only very rarely will a file glitch, but tech support is always easy to access and quick to find solutions
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the problem of low quality audio when recorded through other systems like Zoom. And it provides easy to use video editing features for someone like me who isn't a professional videographer.
Riverside simplifies the entire podcast experience
What do you like best about the product?
Riverside brings podcast scheduling, recording, production, and publishing under one easy-to-use roof. The flow of information just makes sense.
With a simple and accessible tool, guests can easily join a meeting, recording begins with a click of the button, and editing is a breeze with powerful, but basic tools cutting out the unneccessary fluff of most editing softwares. Through integrations, you can easily post your podcast or export for greater flexibility. Don't even get me started on clips!

What do you dislike about the product?
Riverside puts your content creation on rails, which is great for a lean team. But more advanced editors will prefer a more complex tool. Though, Riverside allows you to export full recordings and tracks to use your preferred tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before Riverside, we were using an agency, which was timely and required constant back and forth leading to long production times for podcasts. With Riverside, we can record a whole episode and have it posted in minutes.
I just keep telling everyone this is THE platform for podcasters
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is so freaking intuitive and easy to navigate it blows me away that it can be THIS EASY to podcast. One of my favorite features is the 'mark clips' button or hitting 'M' on your keyboard when you're in the middle of a session, makes it so easy to come back to a certain spot, mark an epic quote someone stated that you know you'll want to extract later. Three other notable features that save so much time in podcast production of the podcast are the AI social clipping, AI show notes feature, and the ability to have ONE link to your studio to share with others.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly there isn't a feature in the platform I don't like. I know they are working on improving the interface for editing, and as that continues to be an area they improve, I know that in the future it'll be even easier to be able to completly handle editing podcast episodes fully, inside the platform which would be huge!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Firstly, it's a HUGE upgrade for so many podcasters that were using Zoom to record in. The fact that Riverside captures high quality audio, over the web, and backs up recordings live as they happen - eliminates poor quality recordings, dropped recordings and those are two of the biggest issues podcasters face when doing remote recordings with other people. Now with AI added as a feature, being able to pull show notes, transcription and social media clips with the touch of a button is HUGE for making promoting podcast episodes and repurposing them easier for podcasters.
Very very good for podcasters
What do you like best about the product?
intuitive platform, ease of recording and feature rich. The latest feature to get shownotes and magic clips is a big time saver.
What do you dislike about the product?
Editing can be improved. It is good for the first cut, but I still need to use another software to get a crisper edit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it is a one stop solution for podcasters. Feature rich and the output is superlative.
Worth the Risk
What do you like best about the product?
When starting podcasting, I was only aware of Zoom. After some failed recordings, I looked into other options. Riverside was the best. Although they had some hiccups, what I like best about Riverside is their willingness to grow and learn as a company.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, nothing. They added all of my desires and fixed any issues like syncing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am not a video editor, so when they mastered the short form video creation, this was what sold me.
Intuitive Platform!
What do you like best about the product?
It requires almost no training because it's so intuitive!
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't add music to the recording, but there are other programs that can handle that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping us record from multiple locations and normalize the audio between all our different settings and different technology.
Used across our portfolio of publishers.
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to setup and use. Migration from previous provider was smooth.
What do you dislike about the product?
Needs additonal flexibility with regards to editing. Guests complain about the ability to use the Riverside app
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Audio / Video Editor for podcast and social clips.
Excellent service that is delivering high quality and saving me so much time.
What do you like best about the product?
I've had a podcast in-house for seven years and it has typically taken 2 hours of edit time per show (granted, they are shorter than the typical podcast.) Riverside is not only doing a "double ender" something that I did on skype that was pretty tough to set up with those who didn't know what they were doing. But it also has powerful AI editing features and also helps me create TikTok videos easily and Facebook reels very easily from my shows. The transcripts are the best and it is wonderful. I appreciate how easy it is to use Riverside and I highly recommend it for podcasters. I even host my meetings in it as well. I had problem with a file on a Saturday and a chat agent responded immediately and was able to fix my problem (a file needed to be restored). I was back in and editing quickly. I highly recommend this service!
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I'm waiting for is for the chapters to update when I edit the show. That said, I just take the titles and update the times manually and I'm still saving time, but I fully expect that will be added soon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has sped my time for editing, and also improved the quality of the recordings by capturing on both sides. I'm also getting high quality video and audio. It is a great service!
The leader in audio/video podcast recording
What do you like best about the product?
I first started using Riverside.fm for my own podcasts (& then recommending to dozens of clients) when they were the first tool I found for reliable audio AND video recording for remote podcasts that provided high quality recording, separate tracks for each speaker & an easy-to-use interface for hosts & guests.
Since then, I love how Riverside.fm has continued to be a reliable product & one that gets better with new innovations & updates.

What do you dislike about the product?
I've had the occassional issue with audio/video sync, but (a) I'm not certain it wasn't my video setup to blame & (b) Riverside's support (as always) has been extremely quick & response to help with this issue when it did come up. They even re-synced my video & provided an updated file within a matter of hours in a recent situation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside allows me to start contnet creation with video-based interviews which powers a LOT of my content creation further downstream (including YouTube videos, audio podcast episodes, short-form videos for various social channels & repurposed text content from the interviews I record).
