Everything I need for online podcasts
What do you like best about the product?
The AI full screen is incredibly helpful. We know that the shots need to constantly change to maintain attention; switching between speakers with AI is really helpful in reducing editing time.
Background noise removal is also helpful and works really well.
We've never had any complaints from interviewees also in terms of ease of use.

What do you dislike about the product?
A couple of times when I've exported and gone back to edit, subtitles don't seem to appear. I'm not sure if it's a glitch or if I'm doing something wrong. We typically don't use subtitles so not a major issue for us.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used Teams to record online podcasts before and the quality was terrible in comparison to Riverside.
12+ Months of Riverside and I'm still thrilled to be using it
What do you like best about the product?
Here is a list of things that I love about Riverside.fm in no particular order:
• I love the asynchronous uploading that happens while you are recording.
• I love the fact that if my guest loses internet access, they can come back and upload the remaining video, and it isn't lost
• I love that I have a live view of my guests while recording, and it's uploading simultaneously
• Customer support has been swift when I've had questions
• I love being able to separate the various "studios" I use for separate programs/tasks I need. I have begun using Riveside to replace my Zoom meetings because I like it better.
• The first day we used it -- it was easy to add to our podcast workflow and implementation. We've used it weekly ever since that first day in January 2023.
• Cold storage on your recordings is GREAT, they archive your stuff, and whenever you want to download the files again, you can usually retrieve them within an hour or two. The speed at which they pull up archived files is pretty incredible.
I run a small podcast with a close friend, and Riverside has been the best platform we've used to date. We have never found a reason to find a different solution for our podcast.

What do you dislike about the product?
The quality of live video during recording is often times really blurry. Also, at least once during each recording, the video + audio freeze. This makes it hard to know where the person you're talking to has moved the conversation to and if they asked you a question but you missed it.
Occasionally, the recordings require an indeterminate amount of time to process. I have no clue why this is. Sometimes, the recordings are ready within minutes, and we recorded for over 1.5 hours. Sometimes, a short 10-minute recording will take 2 hours to process. I have no idea why this is.
The UI is janky sometimes. Often, my guests do not know where the buttons are on their end, and I have to walk them through it.
Some of the newer features they've released like editing, ai transcripts, social clips and more -- function very half-baked. I know eventually they will be really awesome but for right now my workflow still requires additional tools to make my podcast be the best it can be. However, I look forward to the day when I don't need additional tools and Riverside can do everything I need it to -- all in one.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed a place to record my podcast with great audio and video. In addition, I wanted to make sure that if my guests lost connection, we didn't have to start the whole podcast over. The async uploading while recording is really excellent.

Podcast Recording Made Simple
What do you like best about the product?
Riverside is my go-to for all things audio. User-friendly interface? Check. Effortless remote guest management? Absolutely. The high-quality recordings are a game-changer, and my audio talent agrees! Features like echo cancellation and background noise reduction have significantly improved my editing process. Seriously, give Riverside a try – you won't regret it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a manual option to disable webcams from the audio only recordings so guests webcames don't turn on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using Riverside to record all my audio recording and my podcast recordings with guests.
So happy I took the Riverside plunge!
What do you like best about the product?
I've been looking at buying into this for a long time and recently decided to take the plunge - I'm so happy I did!
I've always recorded audio only podcast interviews because I didn't want to have the added workload of having to record (and edit) video as well. However, now I have added video into the mix with no extra time added into my workflow - as I can edit the transcription from the video chat, this automatically edits the video for me (like magic) and then I can output that as well as an audio only version at the same time. Rather than having to do the two in isolation, I can do it all in Riverside once.
The online help videos are great as well, but when I've not had the time to watch them and wanted an answer fast, their help team has been on hand to answer all of my (sometiems very basic!) questions.
Buying into this will add a whole new dimension into my show and will help take it to the next level.

What do you dislike about the product?
It's only a minor point, but the fact that my guest's audio / video has to be continually uploaded to the cloud from their side has raised a few eyebrows - especially when I have to explain it to non-techy guests.
It would be great if, in the editor, you could see all of the different tracks and edit across those - rather than just working from the merged one all the time. This would also help to be able to make different layout choices over the course of the video, rather than being beholden to one the entire time (I know I can make these changes in third party software after the fact, but it would be great to be able to do this in one place).

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allowing me to record podcasts visually without adding the extra time of video editing into my workflow. I can edit the audio and the visual all in one place and output all together or seperately if required.
The number one tool I recommend for podcasters and video creators!
What do you like best about the product?
I really love the tools they provide for editing and creating new podcast episodes. The transcript based editing makes editing so much faster! I really enjoy being able to edit from any computer just by logging into my account.
The tools they provide are also so amazing- The AI clips makes choosing social media clips from the episodes so quick and easy. I also really enjoy the ease of getting guests set up to record with me. I just send over a link and Riverside takes care of the rest.
I would definitely recommend Riverside.fm to anyone who is creating video content- not just podcasters!

What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't really anything I dislike about Riverside after they updated their editing tool
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Riverside.fm to record content for my podcast. It makes the content creation process easy from the moment I start recording to finish.
Now my one stop shop my podcast needs!
What do you like best about the product?
The new updates they brought in 2024, have made my editing cut down in half for post production as well as the video quality of guests and co hosts its seamless. All the new editing features are awesome! The magic clip feature is my favorite!
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing at the moment! It just needs to add more features to support live multi cam
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making my post production editing saving me time.
I'm useing riverside on my intervius and it is really great. Easy to use, high quality!
What do you like best about the product?
All recording systems are great. The footage plays smoothly. Powerful editing tool allows me to cut short clips fast!
What do you dislike about the product?
Video quality settings should be the first step/thing before recording or while creating a workplace.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I live further from the capital and sometimes it is difficult to invite interviewees to my show. Riverside helps with interviewing people and saving time on long trips.
Revolutionizing Podcast Production with Cutting-Edge AI and Unmatched Customer Service
What do you like best about the product?
The online platform, ease of implementation, web-enabled recording, easy integration with studio-grade equipment, and studio management all stand out to me. Riverside.fm makes it incredibly easy to record our podcast, and the addition of recent AI capabilities, notably the show note creation, has reduced the time and direct cost of episode production. I have received several proactive communications from their team to ensure that the platform meets our needs: this is how companies should approach customer service. We have used Riverside.fm to record The (all) Unknowing podcast since we started the show in May of 2022, and I will continue using them as long as we are around.
What do you dislike about the product?
At the start of our use, we had problems integrating studio recording equipment with the platform and looked for competitive solutions; however, they resolved this deficiency swiftly, and we have been fine since.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it to produce our podcast, The (all) Unknowing
Challenging to learn but we'll worth it!
What do you like best about the product?
The online support and videos are invaluable and comprehensive!
What do you dislike about the product?
So far a limited ability to join different recordings. It would be good to be able to record different segments and join them in editing. Add music or transitions to the different recordings and then join them all to form a single ricording.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps me to create podcasts fairly quickly
