Great platform and partnership for SEO
What do you like best about the product?
BrightEdge provides excellent insights into the keywords that we are interested in as well as surfacing new opportunities and targets. We also like the aggregation capabilities for understanding opportunities around page group types in addition to individual URLs. BrightEdge gives a clear lens for competitive analysis which would otherwise be required by multiple resources and disconnected. The StoryBuilder feature makes surfacing reports to executive management, easy, clear, and consistent. The platform does a great job of flagging potential issues for attention and the support staff are knowledgeable and responsive.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are no downsides to using BrightEdge. I do believe that the User Interface could be improved and in some cases is less than intuitive. This is an area where they continue to adjust and improve, but I believe it can still be better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Seeing competitor advantages in rankings and traffic along with overall Search Engine performance opportunities helps us determine what our next targets will be. BrightEdge also helps to alert us of drops in ranking and traffic which allows us to be more effective in our reaction and response time. The platform allows us to keep a pulse on what is happening for our site in SEO and adjust accordingly. Having one interface to view our SEO in regards to past and present trends as well as future opportunities has been very valuable.
Excellent Platform for SEO's & Digital Marketers
What do you like best about the product?
Data Cube is my favorite feature. It allows me to do in-depth research, gap analysis, and more. Additionally, their customer support is top notch!
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform can do a lot, so initial navigation can be frustrating until you get the hang of it. However, the team at BrightEdge does a great job at walking you through it, answering questions, and following up with you.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The information and data you get from the BrightEdge platform has helped us identify strategic opportunities for our clients, this also includes helping the with research and making recommendations on prospective product expansions, and more.
Long Time SEO Expert
What do you like best about the product?
The combination of the dashboard giving insight into how your site is performing and the expertise you can get on the phone when needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Don't really dislike anything as I've been a customer for several years.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Seeing how we compare to our competitors and what new content we can develop
DataCube is amazing
What do you like best about the product?
The Datacube feature in BrightEdge is outstanding. It helps with analyzing current SEO performance, identify new opportunities, and monitor the market.
What do you dislike about the product?
No real complaints, though it would be cool to get more information on trending topics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The most valuable problems being solved with Brightedge are reporting based. It makes it quicker and easier to tell the whole story to internal stakeholders.
Outstanding customer support, great platform
What do you like best about the product?
The tool itself has not only an easy on-ramp for beginners, so you can get started on keyword research and optimization right away, but also has layers of depth in capabilities, which is helpful I think especially for larger organizations. The UI is intuitive but I keep discovering new features.
But what sets it apart for me is the level of expertise and attention we get from our CSM, plus the great training, both online and classroom, and their help files are really helpful. And every time I've submitted a special request to customer support through the BE request link, I've gotten very prompt turnaround and personalized answers to my questions, with offers to help more.

What do you dislike about the product?
The complexity of the tool can be slightly intimidating, so it's essential to work with your CSM and get at least one admin trained so you can set it up for (mostly) self-service by your users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Right now we're just getting organized, getting a baseline on our pages, and trying to prioritize which keywords and pages to work on first. The automatic actionable Insights is very helpful, as is the competitor gap analysis.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are interested, do try it on a trial basis, I think its value will be evident quickly.
Our first call with our CSM really impressed us with his level of knowledge and expertise.

Taking BrightEdge Wherever I Go
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using BrightEdge for about 8 years now and take it wherever I go. It is now integral to what I do as an SEO, what I can do for a company and it makes me a better SEO practitioner. I still enjoy their standard reports such as Data Cube and Content IQ but I'm now fully invested in their newer features such as Data Cube X, CoPilot, Instant, and Autopilot. Their Data Cube X is now a necessity to how I look at competitor websites, content gap analysis, and how I construct a lot of my content planning. Their Content IQ is how I look for site issues and measure the health of my site. Their dashboards are how I report back to the business. With their newer features, I have AI-enabled abilitites to interlink using Autopilot and a better way to optimize my pages with Copilot. Their recommendations, now AI-driven, are ones you can pull directly from their system. These features are now ones I could not live without. They've come a long way.
What do you dislike about the product?
For an experienced SEO like me, their page suggestions often don't make sense or hold water. The suggestions are automated and based on elements of SEO that I don't find helpful or useful. Might be fine for someone newer to SEO, but I usually skip over these. Same could be said for their Home screen data points. Nice, but not essential to what I need to do my job. BrightEdge does not do everything I want or need. I still have to use an alternate tool every now and again to cross-check crawl issues or to pull URL's more quickly but BrightEdge has way more and way better tools for what I need than missing any of the tools that I need to use occassionally.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
BrightEdge is serving as my primary SEO platform that I use for keyword tracking, competitive research, active optimizations, and reporting. I now use BrightEdge for AI-driven internal link building through their Autopilot product and use their Ai-driven recommendations through their Copilot product. I research SEO in real-time, frequently using their Instant reporting suite and am super reliant on them for most everything I need to successfully manage my SEO program. Benefits are numerous including data not available anywhere else from Data Cube and Data Cube X and a system that is easy to organize.
Business Grade SEO
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to delegate the easier day to day work once the initial keywords are set up. This allowed us to delegate and distribute a large workload to many people in the company to work on. In the past, this would have been 1-2 people only who were "SEO experts" at paygrades to match. Those same experts can really focus their time on the key important things like strategy, content, and keywords but freeing thier time to not have to do 100% of the basic execution of thier decisions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would love it to cost less :-). The initial setup on our side took a little longer than I would have thought.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to really understand what drives SEO and thinking SEO first when working on a project. This re-thinking has helped us be faster and leaner but still get great results.
The People Make the Tool
What do you like best about the product?
The toolset is extremely robust but my all-time favorite aspect is my rep. She has become an extension of my SEO team. We leverage either her SEO knowledge or she consults with their researchers/analysts to help us make intelligent decisions for past, present, and future SEO campaigns.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its a slightly expensive tool but when factoring in the expertise that we get with it, it makes it worth it. But if they dropped the price, I wouldnt complain.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Brightedge helps us monitor, track, and optimize our online visbilty through search engines at a national, local, and global level. We've been able to pinpoint return on investment from our organic traffic across branded and non-branded keywords.
Intuitive SEO for All Experience Levels
What do you like best about the product?
Having everything I would need for SEO maintenance on one platform is ideal for professionals who are always cycling through different tabs and tools.
BrightEdge's keyword research, page rankings, backlinks, and page recommendations in one platform affords you more time for day-to-day tasks.
The organization can't be overlooked, being able to export all of your keywords to a spreadsheet with the necessary data (Search Volume, Page Rankings) makes it easier to communicate with members of the team who aren't familiar with SEO.
Local businesses can benefit from seeing which keywords qualify for additional Google features like the 3-Pack from within the platform. This gives us an advantage over our competitors in our industry, not to mention being able to track where your competitors rank for those same keywords.
I also enjoy the networking opportunities that come with being a BrightEdge user which includes your own account manager. It's important to have someone who you are able to discuss what to anticipate in terms of algorithm changes and trends within the industry to stay ahead, having a team of professionals to shoot questions over to is invaluable.

What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest factor that companies will have to come to terms with is the price of the platform, certain premium features are hidden behind additional paywalls but they're not necessary to garner the full value of the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to launch new webpages confidently knowing that they are optimized to the best of my ability in the shortest amount of time possible make our content consistent and more frequent.
Brightedge helps minimize a lot of the trial and error that comes with having your page rank on Google.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Although the price tag is intimidating the value is returned in the time you save from its intuitive menu system, valuable insight, and the control it gives you of your SEO strategy makes it a worthy investment.
Enterprise Level SEO ... at a Price
What do you like best about the product?
Deep internet crawl data with their Data Cube technology allows quick research into ranking positions. Intuitive user-interface is helpful for all stakeholders who access the platform. Helpful vendor services team to maximize benefit from the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Expensive with annual contracts. Fees for Google Data Studio integration and API feeds. Minimal keyword qty provided even for basic tiers. Bing rank and Mobile rank count multiple times towards keyword count.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking rank over time according to Groups or Tags is especially helpful in breaking down a massive list of keyword data into manageable chunks that lend themselves to analysis. From that segmentation comes actionable steps we can take to further our SEO position.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider if your need for SEO rank monitoring & optimization is truly Enterprise-level, or if another mid-tier SEO platform (at more affordable prices) will serve that purpose in a similar fashion).
