Automation has reduced manual claims and invoice work while AI now processes documents accurately
What is our primary use case?
UiPath Platform offers numerous scenarios for implementation. I think of it as building robots that connect systems that would not normally be able to talk to each other. For instance, automating tasks on different systems such as collecting data from an Excel file and loading it to a web application or a CRM. For example, a bot can scrape all the bestsellers on AWS. You can use it to collect data repeatedly, and that automation will also be able to load it into an application through the user interface, mimicking human actions. I have used it in the insurance sector where I am automating claim registration on the system.
The main task of RPA with UiPath Platform is to reduce the manual workload in offices, especially for repetitive tasks. For example, someone keeps typing every day while going through PDF files and capturing the data into a system. With UiPath Platform, you can reduce inaccuracy and process many documents very quickly using RPA robots. A good scenario is a company receiving hundreds of invoices through email from customers. The bot can monitor the inbox, extract the attached files, extract data using OCR, and log in to an application to load the data correctly.
The use of agentic automation in UiPath Platform has transformed from rule-based logic using if statements to AI agents that analyze data to make decisions. This is particularly useful when dealing with unstructured data, such as invoices with different layouts. AI can classify and extract data accurately.
I have worked with both Azure Cloud and AWS and Google Cloud for UiPath Platform. In most of the cases that I work on, we deploy the bot in containers. You will build desktop servers using platforms such as Azure DevOps because we are Agile. The key is to use a cloud environment to clone production configurations to avoid bot failures during deployment.

What needs improvement?
The cost of licensing and using UiPath Platform is a primary area for improvement, particularly for small businesses. While large companies might see a return on investment, the steep pricing can be prohibitive for smaller enterprises trying to implement RPA solutions.
In past versions, issues with web application selectors were a concern, where dynamic elements could cause the bot to fail. These issues have seen improvements, with methods such as using anchors to locate elements more effectively. However, ensuring consistent and stable deployments across different environments remains a challenge due to possible variations in environment settings that might cause some components to fail.

Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Automation has reduced financial workloads and delivers strong efficiency despite recent bugs
What is our primary use case?
UiPath Platform is used for building enterprise robots to speed up work in FinTech departments, automating use cases relevant to financial businesses. For some of the use cases,
UiPath Platform has provided a 60% reduction in manual time effort, and human error has been reduced by 80% because the system performs great work with proper exception handling.
What is most valuable?
UiPath Platform is very robust compared to other platforms and is very easy to use with a friendly UI. It has a lot of creative potential that can be implemented. UiPath Platform has helped reduce manual work by eight hours per day, and over the whole year, it has benefited the company and firm significantly in terms of pricing, budget, and cost. The team is looking forward to using it in other processes that are in queue.
What needs improvement?
The newer version that has been upgraded has some bugs in it because the studio is not working properly as it was in the previous version. When making bots, there are selector issues where elements that need to be clicked cannot be properly selected or passed on to other team members.
The new version is causing issues, sometimes crashing, and selectors cannot be opened. When it crashes, all work must be redone, which is very annoying. The UI is very advanced and looks great, but the selector issues and crashing still persist.
When a bot is developed in two or three hours, it should not crash suddenly and force a redo of the work. The team is automating processes to reduce time, yet this issue increases development time. An update would be greatly appreciated so that work can be done better.
The stability of UiPath Platform was a nine in older versions, but now it has dropped to an eight because of the annoying issues where it crashes after a lot of work has been completed, forcing a redo. Having deadlines and having it crash repeatedly is very frustrating. Feedback could be provided to the team responsible for looking at these bugs to explain what the issue is referring to.
For how long have I used the solution?
The UiPath Platform has been used for almost the whole career, spanning about five years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
The issue being faced while developing bots is that it sometimes crashes on its own during work, or it is not picking up the selectors. If selectors are opened, it is just not allowing editing or making them dynamic.
The stability of UiPath Platform was a nine in older versions, but now it has dropped to an eight because of the annoying issues where it crashes after a lot of work has been completed, forcing a redo. Having deadlines and having it crash repeatedly is very frustrating.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
In terms of scalability, UiPath Platform is definitely scalable.
How are customer service and support?
The technical support for UiPath Platform is very good. Contact with the IT support team was made last year, and their response was timely, allowing issues to be resolved effectively, which is good in comparison to other tools.
How would you rate customer service and support?
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup of UiPath Platform is very straightforward, and anyone, even a non-technical person, can do it.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Power Automate and
Automation Anywhere have also been used, but UiPath is majorly in all processes. In comparison with
Power Automate, it is a much more complex platform. UiPath has all the templates ready to be built and has the REFramework, which is very suitable for complex solutions because all the exception handling is ready to go, and the solution just needs to be integrated, and then it is ready to run. On the contrary,
Automation Anywhere and Power Automate are very complex because everything must be done from scratch, and there is not much advancement or variety of activities in those platforms.
What other advice do I have?
Agentic Automation in UiPath Platform has not been used yet, but it is something to look forward to, and a new certification is being pursued. There will likely be some use cases in the team to replicate that. Monitoring the tone or sentiment in messages is not a current focus. UiPath Academy is used to learn about new things coming, like Agentic AI, and work is being done on that as well. The team is also working on the document understanding feature that UiPath Platform has for developing custom models.
UiPath Academy has been very helpful, especially for learning new features. The videos and descriptions about everything are very good, explanatory, and detailed. The documentation and the UiPath forum are also very beneficial because many issues are already posted there and resolved, making it easy to find solutions or resolution notes.
The thoughts on the UiPath Platform user community are very positive. It is great because other platforms lack such a community. If a search is needed for something about an error in Power Automate, it is challenging to find a solution because the documentation is very limited. In contrast, UiPath Platform community is vast, filled with talented individuals, with technical support staff often commenting on posts, which is very helpful. The community should continue that great work.
UiPath Platform has advanced very quickly. It would be recommended to other companies or startups because, compared to other products, UiPath Platform is excelling in marketing, technological advancements, and community services. Automation is needed to minimize manual processes, save money, and save time.
The overall review rating for UiPath Platform is 8.5 out of 10.
Training programs have expanded and reduced human error while providing students with free, user‑friendly automation capabilities
What is our primary use case?
I have been using
UiPath Platform since 2017, primarily for training purposes and not for development purposes. The time I spend on installation and deployment is based on the project, as it is not a specific time; sometimes it may take more time, such as 10 hours or 12 hours. This affects my business as I am using
UiPath Platform solely for my training purposes, not for development purposes. I am currently teaching UiPath Platform but not developing for my projects.I am providing UiPath Academy courses as part of my training programs. On a scale from 1 to 10, I would rate the technical support from UiPath Platform as a seven.
What is most valuable?
What I appreciate about UiPath Platform is that we can automate more things here, and especially because it is user-friendly and secure software. I have used many software solutions such as
Automation Anywhere and
Blue Prism, but I particularly appreciate UiPath Platform for its user-friendliness.UiPath Platform has definitely reduced human error in my organization and has also freed up employee time.UiPath Platform has positively impacted my organization by providing significant benefits, as it is user-friendly and free of cost, allowing me to teach students without incurring expenses compared to other software that charges for licenses. The biggest benefit I have seen from UiPath Academy is the availability of all developments, including the community's Q&A and up-to-date videos, which are extremely helpful.UiPath Platform integrates well with third-party applications; most of the time, we are using Excel, Google Sheets, and
AWS, and we also collaborate with
SQL Server occasionally.
What needs improvement?
There are a few drawbacks to UiPath Platform; while it works beautifully, sometimes certain features are not available. The UiPath Platform community members upload all the packages inside the software, so if something is not working, I can go there and search for the specific packages and download them, so there are no issues at all.The features I face issues with mainly involve software updates; the current version is totally different from what was available in 2022 or 2023, which sometimes leads to complications.I would appreciate seeing more features integrated into UiPath Platform, particularly Intelligent
Process Automation such as Agentic AI and other artificial intelligence enhancements, as these would make it easier to develop projects such as data extraction from PDFs.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using UiPath Platform since 2017, primarily for training purposes and not for development purposes.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Performance-wise, UiPath Platform is stable, and I have only used the free version; I have never purchased any version. I do advise my students to purchase certificates, but otherwise, there are no problems at all.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
UiPath Platform is definitely scalable, making it suitable for future growth.
How are customer service and support?
On a scale from 1 to 10, I would rate the technical support from UiPath Platform as a seven.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I have used many software solutions such as
Automation Anywhere and
Blue Prism, but I particularly appreciate UiPath Platform for its user-friendliness.
How was the initial setup?
I face very easy challenges when deploying UiPath Platform, as it is very easy to deploy the projects in the Orchestrator.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
As I mentioned, I am using the free version of UiPath Platform, so I am not incurring any licensing costs.
What other advice do I have?
Regarding the monitoring features of UiPath Platform, while I usually do not need them for my current operations since they are not development projects, I guide my students on how to monitor during our classes. The deployment model of my UiPath Platform is not cloud-based directly; I do use the cloud version with Orchestrator, but the maximum I utilize is the desktop mode.I have not started with
Agentic Automation yet, but we are planning to start using Agentic and Generative AI as well.I would rate this review as a nine overall.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
Hybrid Cloud
If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?
User interface has improved development efficiency and cloud deployment has simplified operations
What is our primary use case?
I use
UiPath Platform for development and also use Orchestrator for publishing packages. I am also exploring Agentic AI. I think
UiPath Platform is a great platform in the
RPA market.I appreciate
Agentic Automation, but currently, I am just conducting a proof of concept on it. I am not using it for my work, only for learning purposes. I do not see much improvement there because I am not using it end to end.
What is most valuable?
I think the user interface is really great in UiPath Platform. The feature I do not like right now is in the Orchestrator. The previous 2022 version of the Orchestrator is great compared to the current version. Until you refresh it, you cannot see what the jobs are running. Previously, it had auto-refreshing capabilities or something similar, so you could easily see what was happening. Now you have to click on the refresh button to see exactly what is happening with the job while it is running.
What needs improvement?
I think UiPath Academy is a little confusing. Back in 2019 or 2022, it was good. You could clearly understand which exact course you wanted to pick and what you wanted to go through. Currently, there are bundles of courses. When I recently referred UiPath Academy to my neighbor who was interested in learning automation, I was literally confused about which Academy course I needed to refer. Previously, there was the developer certification, the standard certification, and the REFramework certification, which is advanced. The foundation and standard certification have now been divided into six or seven parts. It is very difficult to go through all those six and seven modules and send them to someone. Previously, all of these modules, which were six, seven, or maybe eight modules, were in just one course called the foundation UiPath course. It was much better when you could directly refer this course to someone instead of sending all those links or URLs.The only other thing is the budget constraints they might be having, such as going with lesser-cost tools instead of higher-cost tools.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using UiPath Platform for seven years in my career overall.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Regarding the software, there is nothing regarding stability that I am concerned about. I do not think stability is the issue. It all depends on the bot and how the developer is creating it and how efficiently they are making use of the recent activities or recent advancements in UiPath Platform. Considering UiPath Platform, I do not see any stability issues.
How are customer service and support?
I would rate the support at eight. They are good and best at their work. I have not directly contacted them for my personal proof of concept, but I have contacted them because of work. We are a premium client for UiPath Platform, so we have meetings every alternate week with them. We can post our doubts or any other questions we have, and they are very good with their replies.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I tried to use
Power Automate, but initially I started my career with
Blue Prism. I started learning it for three months or maybe two months. Somehow I did not the UI and user interface. Then I moved to UiPath Platform and I loved it. That is the reason I am staying in this technology for seven years. Recently, about six months ago, I started learning
Power Automate as well. Power Automate is great, but as I am into UiPath Platform, I could not connect to it more. The Power Automate interface is great compared to
Blue Prism. However, the thing with Power Automate is they have many connectors, and I think most of the connectors are paid. I think UiPath Platform is far better than Power Automate. People nowadays are moving to Power Automate because of the charges they are putting on the robots because it comes with the Microsoft bundle package.
How was the initial setup?
I do not see any difference with the deployment of UiPath Platform. It was easy initially and even now. I think they have not changed much in the deployment.
What about the implementation team?
One person can deploy it easily.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
This is a tricky question because UiPath Platform is a little more costly than other tools. Comparatively, big companies can be using it, but small companies are limited to their budgets, and I think they might prefer Power Automate over UiPath Platform.
What other advice do I have?
The deployment and maintenance are handled by UiPath Platform. Currently, our Orchestrator and everything is handled by UiPath Platform. We are in the cloud right now using UiPath cloud. They are taking care of it. Previously we used to have this on our own company's servers, so we just had to make sure it runs twenty-four seven. The deployment administration is something I am not sure about regarding the deployment server and administration. As a developer in the current organization, we take requirements from the client, develop it ourselves, test it ourselves, and deploy our automation. We do not have a particular team for development, testing, or deployment. We handle our own use case end to end. I do not see any issues there. I think it is pretty feasible and easy to handle the deployment in UiPath Platform. My overall rating for this review is eight.
