Reliable and used when had to reinstall OS
What do you like best about the product?
Very reliable, easy and saved me when I had to reinstall my OS
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't come across anything I haven't liked
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me to back up all my files. It's easy to configure and decide what you want to include and exclude. Runs in the background and can limit CPU usage if you're using your computer and more if not. When my OS got corrupted, I restored from the backup that morning and had everything back to normal within an hour. Saved time, effort and work.

Software reciew

It’s best software app and easy to implement.
What do you dislike about the product?
It’s little bit costly compared to others.

It’s easy to integrate and use for any app
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Yes I will recommend to everyone
Offsite data is OFF of my mind!
What do you like best about the product?
The price is probably my favorite part of this software. With pricing based on active machines in use and not based on data, it just makes more sense to go with this product.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the short taskbar menu. I would like it to be a little easier to open the application and view/change settings without having to find it in the task tray, right click, choose to open the dashboard...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Offsite databackup/disaster recovery backup. It backs up every 30 minutes which is GREAT.
Great back up service
What do you like best about the product?
I don’t have to much maintaining. Code 42 runs in the background and I can be worry free.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the complicated password and key system used. It should really be much easier to setup a computer that needs to be backed up without looking up 5 different things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automated offsite backups of our desktop computers.
Always a pleasure dealing with Code42
What do you like best about the product?
In my line, I deal with a LOT of vendors, both hardware and software. CODE42 is hands down one of my favorite companies to deal with, no matter what the issue. If it's a technical one, the support is fast to reply, knowledgeable, provide frequent updates, and always makes time for me while never making me feel rushed.
On the billing/licensing side, not only to I get regular notifications on when my licenses are due to expire, but I can easily reach out for assistance and there have been times when obtaining some temporary keys have gone through quick and painlessly.

What do you dislike about the product?
Currently I have no issue with the product or the service, so there is nothing I can think of here.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use the software for backing up data. It has come in quite handy not just restoring the customer's data to their laptop, but restoring a document to my own laptop and forwarding to a customer who is otherwise unable to access their laptop.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a tool that protects the data of your customers or yourself, with simple implementation and excellent service, you will want to take a hard look at Code42.
operating system support lacking
What do you like best about the product?
software works well. I originally used their personal edition until I was "forced" to switch to the business edition.
What do you dislike about the product?
after being forced to switch to their business version and signed up for 3 years. I opened up a support ticket and they told me my Debian operating system (latest version) is not supported, they only support RedHat 7.1,7.2,7.3 and Ubuntu. Given that Ubuntu is based on Debian I see no reason why it's not supported. Anyways, point being that if you are running a business it's highly likely you are NOT running their "supported" operating systems and will be stuck in the situation where your backups don't work..., potentially losing all your data due to "unsupported. For this reason I would not recommend this software to any colleagues.
When I transitioned from personal to business, code42 specifically migrated my computers, they knew the operating systems and could have at that time told me my computer was unsupported. I would have not transitioned and looked for an alternative.

Great backup solution
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it easily backups your data while you are doing day to day tasks. It is painless. Restoring individual files is also a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you are not careful to set a time for when you want to backup, the program will eat up a lot of CPU as it backs up. It is best to make sure to set these settings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Crashplan is currently one of our backup solutions for faculty and staff and it is essential to data emergencies.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a backup solution for data that is easy to implement through a large scale deployment, this is it.

What do you like best about the product?
It was easy to set up. I just had to run the backup once and it runs in the background all the time without me having to do anything
What do you dislike about the product?
There’s not much to really disklike. I honestly barely look at it
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
If my computer crashes, I think it will be backed up in code42. So it will help save work that I would otherwise have to redo, which saves the company time overall
