Valuable Lecture Capture with Room for Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Echo360 offers us unlimited video storage, which means I don't have to worry about running out of space, and we can keep over a decade's worth of videos available if needed. I appreciate the features that support accessibility requirements and how the hardware helps create a consistent experience for our in-classroom technology package. Another thing I enjoy is the viewing analytics feature, which is valued by instructors. The .csv imports are also quite beneficial as they allow us to get information into the system quickly without needing to know how to use the APIs, and they let me complete tasks in bulk, saving me time from doing them manually.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Echo360 landscape is confusing to users, especially with multiple different ways to organize and share videos, and the confusing language in the platform. The video player itself is outdated and aggravating, and some basic features like editing playlists just don't exist. The mobile apps desperately need improvements. Sometimes I think Echo360 had really good ideas, but they weren't implemented completely, and then were forgotten for later-promised improvements. From an administrative perspective, there are some frustrating quirks in the UI that are frustrating to work with, such as slow or inaccurate search results and the inability to open captures in their own tab. Overall, the administrative experience is slow and laggy, and many of the interface choices are frustrating to navigate. There's also a lack of permissions customization for user roles.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find Echo360 provides a consistent classroom tech experience, offers unlimited video storage, and supports easy CSV imports for bulk tasks. It also stores videos long-term and provides viewing analytics that instructors value.
Reliable Service with Attentive, Helpful Staff
What do you like best about the product?
Reliability and the attentiveness and helpfulness of their staff.
What do you dislike about the product?
Noticed some sluggishness at times from the service itself. Some common sense features missing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
easy to share recordings with individuals. No longer needing to share with a full class. The collections feature is very handy.
Great Real-Time Engagement and Video Features, Highly Satisfying Experience

Fewer features and tough to integrate. It offers only a limited number of features, and incorporating it into existing systems is quite challenging.

Great resource for creating, editing, and sharing instructional videos
What do you like best about the product?
Echo360 makes it extremely easy to create videos with and without the installable application. With the introduction of their Browser Based Capture, end users can easily use the same functionality of the downloaded application without needing to download anything. The best part of these recordings is that you have a super clear side by side recording. One full window of your screen share, and one full window of your camera capture. This is very useful for faculty and students who are sharing presentations. Echo360 also includes a very basic editor that is great for quick editing funcitons.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much I have found to dislike with Echo360. My main issue would most likely be the licensing structure. Four our industry, it goes by number of active users, which includes users who have only logged in one time the entire year. It is a cumulative number that grows the first time each user logs in.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Echo360 not only gives us a platform for video content, but it also allows us to use simple polling within the video presentations to create an active learning environment.

Great product and customer service
What do you like best about the product?
We have been using GoReact for over 5 years now. Very intuitive and easy to use; works on any device and across platforms; time-stamped feedback in multiple media (text, video, audio). Customer service is superb and provide assistance for faculty and students; great library of support resources.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing to dislike, really. All features and performance meet our expectations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Student-teacher supervisors can observe more teacher candidates; saves time (and money) for travel; time-stamped feedback allows for more targeted and detailed feedback; and allows for multiple stakeholders (teachers, supervisors, peers) to provide feedback.
Echo360 is a fantastic lecture capture platform which provides exceptional customer service.
What do you like best about the product?
Echo360 is easy to use. Once the system is installed and implemented, there are relatively few issues. If an issues does arise, the support team is responsive and extremely helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, the CSV files that are uploaded have errors which can take some time to troubleshoot.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our campus has a high percentage of student athletes. Echo360 is used to record each face-to-face classroom session so the student athletes do not miss the lecture content when they are traveling.
Echo is getting better
What do you like best about the product?
Echo360 has been steadily improving their platform, devices, and offerings. This has lead to it being one of our primary media tools for the campus. The interface is fairly easy to use, and easy to integrate into LMS courses.
What do you dislike about the product?
Echo360 has gone through some hiccups with branding and roadmaps, making big (and ultimately positive) interface changes at inopportune times, or mentioning new features and tools to be launched with no real development timelines. This can make it a challenge to keep documentation up to date. Because Echo360 can do so many things, there are a lot of ways to accomplish the same task which can be confusing to convey to users. And the company has had several shifts in support/contact representatives in recent years which have caused minor issues with support times and getting timely information.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Echo360 does lecture capture well. It gets content to students who need it either for reviewing material, or for getting content the first time because they missed it or they're taking an entire online course. It makes it easy to use for students and for faculty. It's a single platform that does the content creation, content editing, streaming, and measuring analytics.
Very Easy to revise lectures stored with Echo360
What do you like best about the product?
The UX is very seamless. Use it everytime to revise my lectures. Very easily integrated with Canvas LMS
What do you dislike about the product?
The video speed should exceed more than 2x.
