Integrated Identity and Device Management, Room for Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I like that JumpCloud helps us integrate workforce identity with our SSO applications, as well as manage devices. It's all integrated, with workforce identity, device management, and MDM. This integration works across three platforms: Windows, Linux, and macOS.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think there's a little bit of disconnectedness between the MDM policy delivery and some of the commands functionality. We had implemented Cortex XDR installs for Cortex XDR via MDM with Apple. And we also created a command to do that as well. I think that there could be a little bit more on a coherent connectedness between the commands and the MDM policy that are set up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud integrates workforce identity with our SSO applications and manages devices across three platforms: Windows, Linux, and macOS. It serves as the authentication delivery mechanism to our workforce.
Simplified Secure Access for Remote Teams
What do you like best about the product?
I like how JumpCloud reduces operational uncertainty related to access management and ensures secure login access for my remote media production team. The initial setup was also fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like a more detailed identity health scoring dashboard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud ensures secure login access for my remote media production team, solving authentication consistency issues by unifying identity governance.
Fast Setup with Consistent Identity Structure
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate that JumpCloud provides a consistent identity structure regardless of company size. The initial setup was fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
Customizable login experience branding for different business units.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud helps me by providing an identity service for temporary disaster recovery sites and reduces manual efforts by linking access directly to manage identity. It offers a consistent identity structure regardless of company size.
Versatile Management, But Lags at Times
What do you like best about the product?
I like JumpCloud for its unified directory and strong security features like MFA. The broad integration support with protocols like SAML and LDAP is great, offering enterprise-level integration. The simplified user interface is a plus, as it saves time for general users.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say performance sometimes, you know, there's a lag, and alerting is limited also. So these are a few drawbacks I have noticed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use JumpCloud to centralize access control across mixed environments like macOS, Windows, and Linux. Its unified directory, strong security, and broad integration support make managing a flexible IT environment cost-effective and scalable.
Powerful directory management, but not the most intuitive
What do you like best about the product?
Centralises identity, device management, and access control across different systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
Interface and workflows can feel complex; configuration often requires technical expertise.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps manage users, permissions, and devices from a single platform across cloud environments.
Its easy to manage computers and accesses across multiple employees
What do you like best about the product?
Its easy to manage computers and accesses across multiple employees. JumpCloud is a powerful platform I use to centrally manage user identities, devices, and access across my organisation. It simplifies tasks like user provisioning, device management, and enforcing security policies, all from a single dashboard. I find it especially useful for managing both Windows and macOS systems without needing multiple tools. The cloud-based setup makes it easy to scale and manage remotely, which is great for distributed teams. Overall, it streamlines IT operations while maintaining strong security controls.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pop up when you are logged out can be very disruptive
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it to manage user identities, devices, and access to all our systems from one place. It helps control secure logins like SSO and MFA so my team can access the tools they need safely and easily. In a way, it replaces traditional IT setup with a single, centralised system to manage people, devices, and security.
JumpCloud Centralizes Identity, Access, and Device Management Effortlessly
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about JumpCloud is how it centralizes identity, access, and device management in a single platform. It makes it easy to manage users, devices, and permissions across different operating systems and cloud applications without needing multiple tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside of JumpCloud is that the initial setup and configuration can be a bit complex, especially for teams that are new to identity and device management platforms. It may take some time to fully understand all of the available features and properly configure policies, integrations, and device management settings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud helps us manage users, devices, and access to company applications all in one place. Before using it, handling permissions and device management across different systems could get messy and time consuming. With JumpCloud, everything is centralized, which makes it much easier to control who has access to what.
JumpCloud Makes SSH Key Management and Access Provisioning Effortless at Scale
What do you like best about the product?
What I value most is how JumpCloud handles SSH key management at scale. Before we moved to JumpCloud, managing access to our production Linux fleet was a manual nightmare: copying public keys around and constantly worrying about “orphaned” keys left behind by former employees. Now we can provision and de-provision server access instantly from a single dashboard, which has been a huge time saver for the team. It’s essentially replaced what used to be a complex LDAP/OpenLDAP setup with a much easier workflow, so we can focus on actual engineering work instead of identity plumbing.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the core functionality is solid, the reporting tools can feel a bit basic when I’m trying to pull very specific data for an audit. The Admin UI is generally good, but as our server list has grown, searching and filtering through large groups of systems can sometimes feel a little clunky, especially compared to how smooth the rest of the experience is.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The benefits are really twofold.
Security/Compliance: We can instantly revoke access for offboarded employees across every server, which is essential for meeting our security and compliance audit requirements.
Operational Efficiency: My team no longer wastes time troubleshooting “permission denied” errors or manually syncing keys. This has noticeably reduced the day-to-day to-do list for our DevOps team, so we can focus more on infrastructure scaling instead of ongoing user administration.

Effortless Setup, Comprehensive Cloud Transition
What do you like best about the product?
I like JumpCloud because it reduces headaches and downtime. Its reporting tools make troubleshooting login issues easy, whether someone's signing on or having trouble. I appreciate how simple it is to pull people from other services like Google and then email them to update their credentials. The ability to remotely manage a computer from anywhere in the world as long as there's internet is a feature I really like. It's been a really easy, clean experience overall.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the things that could be improved is moving computers that are already tied to Active Directory, such as a Windows laptop. Just an easier process for decoupling them from Active Directory and then tying them to JumpCloud. I also think more product, more software that's available in the JumpCloud platform would be great for pushing out apps to those devices. More and more is being built out, and I like to see that. Just continuing on that development would be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use JumpCloud for access and device management, and it simplifies my workflow by moving services to the cloud and enabling single sign-on across all devices and services. It's reduced headaches and downtime, allowing easy troubleshooting and remote assistance.
Can't believe people use AD servers
What do you like best about the product?
The fact that its LDAP in the cloud and I do not have to manage a PC in the corner of the server room
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the GUI is a bit buggy. The loggining can be incorrect sometimes too, these are minor issues that probably only affect me
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Most definitely streamlines onboarding of new users. Create and account, SSO, and MFA.
