Seamless Mac & Windows Management with Flexible Time-Limited Admin Access

  • May 19, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of having both Mac and Windows without much difference in settings. I also really like the ability to give someone admin just for a specific length of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe some of the navigation. If I search for a user then go to their laptop and save a setting on there it is going to take me back to the user list instea d of leaving the device page open
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Very easy onboarding with Jumpcloud and it's connections to our other services. Would like to get into more SSO applications.

Lightweight, Fast Windows Policy Management—But macOS & MDM Need Maturity

  • May 14, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Local user management is straightforward, and deployment and removal are both quick. The agent is lightweight and doesn’t use many system resources. Applying Windows policies is also fast and easy, which makes day-to-day administration smoother.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI feels clunky. Selecting and binding devices, groups, and users is awkward in the interface, and management for macOS hasn’t been reliable for me. The MDM also doesn’t seem mature enough yet: it doesn’t include policies to enforce custom company compliance, so it ends up relying heavily on commands to attest compliance.

It’s also not easy to create custom roles for specific users who need to handle user and workstation onboarding.

Finally, I’d like to see more audit logs showing what’s performed in the console.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides identity management for workstations and helps with workstation compliance. I can also deploy other software such as VPN, EDR, and productivity tools, while enforcing compliance policies across devices. It supports importing users from the Google Workspace IDP, and it makes it straightforward to offboard them when needed.

Robust Support and Usability, Needs Password Management Improvement

  • May 14, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that JumpCloud has good support when needed, and it's mostly easy to use. Whenever I've reached out to support for an issue, they're quick to respond and knowledgeable. They join sessions to assist me in real-time and don't always try to force a chatbot instead of a human. I had an excellent technical account manager who helped make switching IDPs pretty straightforward. I like the consistent addition of features that bring JumpCloud up to par with other platforms, like the ability to 'nest' user groups, which was a big function from Okta that made migration easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have some admin accounts that can't have passwords managed by JumpCloud, which makes it difficult for our admins to stay compliant with elevated accounts. There are some functionalities that Okta did better. For example, the ability to 'nest' user groups was a big function in Okta, and it was difficult to migrate to JumpCloud because of the absence of that feature initially.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use JumpCloud for identity management, access control, and mobile device management.

Effortless Device Management with JumpCloud

  • May 14, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use JumpCloud to manage all of our devices across the organization, including the iPads and equipment for our retail stores. It lets us see everything about our employees' devices at any given moment, including the software they're running, which is really helpful. JumpCloud helps us issue and return equipment efficiently and troubleshoot as needed. I find using JumpCloud with the Mac and Apple ecosystem incredibly valuable since a majority of our equipment is Apple. We can send iPads to retail stores with the equipment already installed, making onboarding way easier. The initial setup was very easy and straightforward with no pain points.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, it works great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud lets us manage all our devices, track employee devices, issue equipment with pre-installed software, and streamline onboarding.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use JumpCloud for keeping track of computers, software updates, and general management.
