Dependence on Internet Connectivity
no option for onpremise
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
builtin features, Centralized Identity Management, Traditional directory services require significant IT overhead. JumpCloud is cloud-native which allow us to work from different locations
Secure method for authentication
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to provide a relibable and secure MFA method for your accounts.
What do you dislike about the product?
This could just be a mistake in how our organization set up Jumpcloud with our endpoints, but sometimes logging into our computers with jumpcloud can be inconsistent and confusing to use. The UI makes it look like you're entering in the same password twice, which could throw users off.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Secure method of implementing MFA
Many tools but they have many issues or are basic in offerings
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it offers MDM, SSO, password manager and so much more. Also, our JC rep is amazing to work with. He is proactive, helpful, and kind.
What do you dislike about the product?
Our clients that have the MDM have many problems with the MDM on the devices. Glitches, lock outs, etc. Also our clients that use the password manager say that it is very basic when compared to Keeper or 1Pass.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We like to have an MDM solution that can have both macs and windows
Great overall platform for handling devices and software
What do you like best about the product?
Simplicity and features that they are offering is really vast and mostly properly documented.
What do you dislike about the product?
Covering too many stuff to handle properly
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Unified devices and users for whole platform + password manager
Jumpcloud is a robust cloud-based directory platform.
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the seamless SSO integration as well as the ability to run wireless commands and support systems without having to impact end users. We use it everyday in place of a traditional Active Directory. Easy to implement quick fixes. Customer support is very responsive.
What do you dislike about the product?
I come from a Microsoft background, so missing traditional AD is the only downside I found. Maybe a group policy feature?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud solves for an enterprise environment that doesn't leverage traditional Active Directory. It is easy to manage and has a lot of flexibility in what services it can provide. Our environment is almost exclusively in the cloud and this was a big part in making that happen.
I use Jump Cloud every day and never have to think about it!
What do you like best about the product?
So easy to set up and implement and add new users . Never have to worry about log in again! Smooth integration across mulitple applications. We use JumpCloud daily.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. I can think of. We are happy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No need for maintaining multiple log ins or handling password reset requests from staff.
Jumpcloud
What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud has a very nice Webgui and ui that makes it easy to manage.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jumpcloud mdm and managing devices is super poor.
If you have a device that has not turned on in a while it will not report and you will have to completely reinstall jumpcloud
Also remote scripting for devices is very hit or miss. Scripts we write work locally but trying to run through jumpcloud they usually don't work.
My biggest frustration though was jumpcloud had a bad update once and 1/3 of our devices in productions stopped reporting so our policies were not working. So we had to go to over 70 devices and reinstall jumpcloud manually

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For now it is allowing us to manage and put policies on our devices when it works.
Useful management
What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud makes it easy to keep track of Multiple Organizations for MSPs, keeps us up to date on the latest updates and expiries, and keeps us on the cutting edge of security and information.
What do you dislike about the product?
A more streamlined user interface with less clutter could be beneficial, though it's not really a day to day problem
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping our users up to date and making sure licenses stay active
Easy to deploy
What do you like best about the product?
Security Features, easy to use and user friendly GUI
What do you dislike about the product?
Not as such, as per my understanding i did not find any issue
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are pitching this as MDM with Apple devices
Convenient and Centralized
What do you like best about the product?
It's a one-stop shop for device management across a broad group of use cases. Pretty easy to integrate and implement.
What do you dislike about the product?
When managing ephemeral instances they still don't allow you to mark devices as ephemeral and thus have a TTL after they disconnect. That would be a big W in my book.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing user profiles, managing access to servers via ssh keys, etc.
