Easy SSO Setup, Needs Better Documentation
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to configure new applications and onboard users as well. I also like the way it's easier to create new applications and then the SCIM configuration. As a DevOps and platform engineer, I've tried to onboard most of my applications to JumpCloud in much less time. The initial setup of JumpCloud was pretty easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
The documentation regarding the application onboarding for specific tools is not there and could be improved or extended. The SCIM configuration is not supported for apps like Redis Cloud, Atlas, etc. I also feel like there should be a best practices section for managing user groups as I already have 100+ user groups.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud helps provide user access and prevents credential sharing. It's easy to configure new applications and onboard users quickly.
Centralized MDM and SSO Platform
What do you like best about the product?
I really like that JumpCloud serves as our centralized MDM and SSO platform across the organization. It manages device compliance for both macOS and Windows, enforces security policies, and acts as our identity provider for SaaS applications. It's great that it functions as the single source of truth for user identities, authentication, and device trust. The initial setup was very easy, especially with the support available from JumpCloud.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform is robust, but it could be improved with enhancements in reporting depth, UI refinement, and better troubleshooting visibility. More customizable dashboards and deeper filtering capabilities for reporting, along with the ability to create role-based security views, would be valuable. From a UI perspective, consolidating policy views and reducing navigation depth for common administrative tasks would make it stronger.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use JumpCloud for asset management, user lifecycle management, password management, and access management. It serves as our MDM and SSO platform, managing device compliance, enforcing security policies, and acting as an identity provider for SaaS applications.
Secure, Scalable and Streamlined : Our Jumpcloud Journey
What do you like best about the product?
Well the thing I like most about Jumpcloud is how the management and authentication is being managed at one place. and I feel bit easy to manage user access across our entire environments and visibility plus ability to enforce policies, making it more consistent and secure.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I personally think is, while managing larger environments the Admin console, seems slightly complex. Mostly when we work on user access and policy conflicts and also if we could get more detailed and intuitive details around authentication logs and device compliance then it will be bit easy and fast for us to troubleshoot any issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Jumpcloud, Our On and Off boarding efficiency has increased plus Administrative overhead has decreased (now they spend less time managing creds and issues) and configuration inconsistencies got reduced because of less manual efforts (this is a big plus point) and last with MFA and policies security has drastically increased.

Versatile Management as a company Scales
What do you like best about the product?
I like how JumpCloud is extremely lightweight and low cost, which allows me to potentially run an IT team with minimal personnel like an admin or DevOps intern, rather than needing a full IT, OT, or networking team. It also integrates well with existing or new tools like Google Workspace, Linux, and Ubuntu, and doesn't just rely on legacy Microsoft systems. It's quite versatile and easy to scale.
What do you dislike about the product?
As the use of JumpCloud increases, the cost obviously increases, going linearly with scale. The stability of login and device authentication could be better, along with bugs and glitches in the JumpCloud password manager. The initial setup is quite complicated, and even though it is low cost and lightweight, it doesn't necessarily mean faster setup. You need someone who is intelligent and switched on to pick it up, as it's a new way of working that existing IT staff might not be accustomed to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use JumpCloud for IT and asset management, identity providing, application authorization, and user authentication. It offers single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, password management, remote commands, and centralized OS management, making my team's operations efficient and streamlined.
Flexible and Packed with Instruments
What do you like best about the product?
I like the flexibility and the amount of instruments available.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not everything I want has been implemented. Yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Please ensure consistency across all applied policies and settings, and provide a secure login experience.
Ease in IT Administration with Some Limitations
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of working with JumpCloud's features. The mobile device management and administration part seems super useful to me. Additionally, the command section helps me a lot when managing issues with devices or IT problems in the company.
What do you dislike about the product?
When it comes to viewing the outputs of the commands, you absolutely have to go to a separate section; it's not like you have a clear and precise link on the screen about the results. You can only receive an exit code and some logs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use JumpCloud to manage IT and as an identity provider, making it easier to assign permissions and roles. It is also useful in the management and onboarding or offboarding of devices, and the mobile management and command functions simplify handling issues in devices or IT.
Secure, Easy Single Sign-On That Replaced Active Directory
What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud has allowed us to implement single sign on with many of the tools we use. We have used it to replace active directory and in turn we have gotten a better level of security and ease of use for our users.
What do you dislike about the product?
The large scope of operating systems they work with at times can cause our mainly Windows environment to be missing some features. Although when brought to their attention it usually gets resolved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allow us to use signle sign on is letting our users have to remember less passwords and in turn our IT support requirements have gone down.
Jumpcloud: Fully Featured AD/IdP with Frequent, Bleeding-Edge Updates
What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud is a fully functional AD/IdP that also includes MDM and asset inventory features. What I like most is that the product aims to stay on the bleeding edge, with new features released frequently and often driven by feature requests.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main downside with Jumpcloud is that it isn’t as ubiquitous across the industry, which means there are fewer native integrations available from other software providers. As a result, the SSO integrations can feel more limited, especially when they’re restricted to SAML 2.0 only. The best solution to this is keeping the product relevant with new but meaningful and wanted features so that it becomes more of an industry standard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jumpcloud is the backbone of our identity governance as well as our device and asset management. It enables our IT organization to fully support all end users and endpoints, covering everything from software to hardware.
Centralized Management with Seamless Integration
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to do everything in one place with JumpCloud, having uniformity across everything, and getting insight into everything from one central point. It's helpful to know that our environment is stable and monitored, with everything working correctly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest issue was understanding the local user accounts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use JumpCloud for directory and device management, which helps automate office processes. It centralizes everything, ensuring a stable and monitored environment while maintaining uniformity.
