Simplifies User Management Across Platforms

  • October 29, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the zero-touch deployment feature in JumpCloud, which allows me to deploy a device to remote employees and have it auto-configured with policies after they log on. The JumpCloud Go feature is great because passwordless authentication makes the login experience seamless for users. The Command and Insights feature is also valuable as it enables me to run remote scripts across all devices and get real-time data on disk encryption. The initial setup was fast and the environment is friendly, making it easy to navigate.
What do you dislike about the product?
The built-in password manager is great, but the browser extension needs to be polished as much as dedicated tools. Managing large user groups would be much easier with nested groups. The autofill accuracy, prompt logic, and biometric integration for the password manager could be improved. Dynamic group and permission inheritance would also be a helpful addition.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use JumpCloud for workplace user and asset management, managing users across Windows, macOS, and Linux. It provides a cloud directory and automates lifecycle management.

Jumpcloud function and review

What do you like best about the product?
I like JumpCloud because I can access it anywhere. It's great that re-binding resolves the login issue, and the fact that beyond basic user to device binding, JumpCloud has several features that IT teams typically find enjoyable because they reduce the manual grunt work of system administration. In JumpCloud, the binding is handled by a lightweight agent, and re-binding in the console re-syncs the cloud identity with the local account, which is really useful. I also find password reset, binding the user to desktop, and applying the policy to the desktop to be valuable features.
What do you dislike about the product?
From the activity logs, the old version of JumpCloud is easier for the activity logs. But after the latest update, it's hard to find the activity logs. We need to click more buttons before we can see the activity logs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use JumpCloud for resetting passwords, binding users, and applying policies. It's a cloud-based directory that I can access anywhere, simplifying issue resolution and reducing manual system admin tasks with features like re-binding and identity syncing.

What I Like Best About JumpCloud

  • October 29, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The thing I like the most about JumpCloud is that you have easy access to various operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and having access for all devices.

It combines directory services, single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA) and device management into one unified platform to drive simplified IAM.

Its simple policy management and commands menu allows you to create policies and execute commands.
What do you dislike about the product?
Everything appears to be in order at this point. However, if possible, please supplement it with some user-based policy as well. For the time being, device policy seems satisfactory.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kudos to Sidhanth Barik, Senior Customer Success Manager, for assisting me with the RADIUS integration to our Fortinet Firewall.

This integration enhances our network security by enabling centralized authentication, making access management more efficient and secure.

What do you like best about the product?
I use JumpCloud for administrator purposes, and it really helps me manage multiple devices and stay organized with programs. I like that it offers a lot of features, such as remote device control, which helps me fix problems quickly, perform installation updates, manage software, and ensure security control. The time management features are also great, allowing us to schedule access policies and giving admins control over when users can log into certain systems. Additionally, I find the setup experience to be straightforward and well documented. I appreciate how JumpCloud integrates with several tools like Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and Slack to complete our IT and security stack.

Pricing can scale up very quickly. JumpCloud charges per user per month, and features may come as add-ons.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Streamlined User Management, Needs UI Improvement

  • October 29, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like JumpCloud's centralized platform for managing user identities, devices, and access control. It allows us to manage users' devices and access permissions easily. As an IT Service Desk, provisioning and deprovisioning user accounts is smoother, and managing devices across different operating systems reduces manual work, making our company more secure. The setup was smooth and user-friendly, letting us quickly create user accounts and configure policies like MFA and password requirements.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think that could be improved in JumpCloud is the user interface, as some features can be a bit complex to navigate. Navigation especially in reporting and more audit logs would help IT teams to monitor user activities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud helps us efficiently manage user accounts, simplifying onboarding and offboarding. It ensures proper access control to company systems and applications, making it easier for our IT Service Desk to provision and deprovision accounts, manage devices across OS, and enhance security.
