It is very easy to implement JumpCloud.

What do you like best about the product?
The user interface where you can add and review users, devices and policies is very easy to use. From a single dashboard we can manage all the devices and users and it has been a win-win for startups like us. As an admin, there is no fight in terms of security and implementation documentation is up to mark. I also use it for one of our clients devices where logging into the system using Jumpcloud Push notification on our mobile phone is so easy and intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not see any thing as yet worth disliking about.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cloudbased Security for your devices and users. It's done exelently. It saves a lot of time and effort to manage these things!

Unified IT Platform

  • May 17, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We love how JumpCloud has seamlessly integrated with and complemented our Google Workspace ecosystem. The team at JumpCloud is also highly responsive from our CSM to the tech support team. I can recall bringing up an issue we had with the Remote Assist feature to their TechSupport team and it was silently fixed not too long after!
What do you dislike about the product?
As JumpCloud is still being developed, there are some features that still need tweaking, but their team is always actively working on adding new features and fixing issues here and there!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prior to JumpCloud, we were struggling to handle our IT ecosystem due to their being no MDM like function native to Google Workspace. We also needed to implement SSO to secure login to some of our most important applications. There was no other platform that offered those functions as well as identity management that integrated so seamlessly with Google Workspace other than JumpCloud. Without this platform, we would've had to consider Microsoft's ecosystem which would've required a complete overhaul.

Clean and Simple AD/MDM

  • May 17, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud has a clean and easy to use UI which makes any actual admin tasks less of a headache. As an IT admin elevating users, remote desktop, and device statistics are things I use practically every day. Redeploying the agent isn't too difficult but still requires being hands on with the machine.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not the most resileant software, sometimes OS updates or password changes will break the user agent on devices. Frustraighting when a user attempts to update their password only to find out that the agent has reported for weeks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jumpcloud makes syncing Active Directory across multiple services extrememly easy. Remote desktop is always useful and managing user passwords and on device permissions.

Platform agnostic SSO and MDM with ever increasing value by the year

  • May 17, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We love that it is platform agnostic meaning we can manage Windows and Mac, Android and iOS with a level of consistency whilst implementing zero trust features like for example no access to Dropbox unless you have a JumpCloud account using it on a JumpCloud managed device. We also use the integrated Password Manager which is a huge bonus and we are able to restore user password vaults without ever having access to the user data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Needs integrations with HaloPSA, Hudu and or similar core MSP centric tools. Could use some meaningful PDF reporting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Platform agnostic MDM. Identity management. Password management.

JumpCloud has been a game changer for our security and remote device management.

  • May 17, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We are a small organization, but it has reduced risk, and provided so many needed tools in one subscription. When we ooked it was hard to find an MDM, Password vault, Sofware maintenance, and remote access tool all in one for MACs, PCs, Phone and Tablets. All in the budget for our growing Non Profit. The Support team is personal and friendly, and is willing to jump on a share to get you through the issues quickly. As a newbie to the MDM world, they have been generous with their time and assistance.
What do you dislike about the product?
I need more training and video time to actually use this application to its fullest.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a tool above and beyond the Google MDM solution that also offered MAC devices and Phones. Google also at the moment doen not support as many policies around software updates and pushing software with the same level of inventory control. As a remote Support person and administrator I cna in many cases set my policies and I know they will emain consitent across all out devices.

Easy to set up, Easy to manage

  • May 17, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best part of jumpcloud is really how everything is built into one space. Identity, ways to use an identity, device management, etc. I use the product for everything from radius server for WiFi to device management and unattended access to service machines. JumpCloud also innovateds quickly. New features are coming out all of the time!
What do you dislike about the product?
Lacking a few features compared to jamf or intune, but they also support multi-os and do things those apps can't do so not really a dislike, just looking forward to even more feature parity than there is now!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jumpcloud solved unified identitues, device management, SOO, remote support, and so much more!

A versatile SaaS based Swiss Army Knife

  • May 17, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Its like a swissarmy knife that's intuitive and simplified yet packed with a mix of features and functionalitys to cover security and EUC aspects.
Its SaaS based, relatively easy to setup and integrate with various infra components
What do you dislike about the product?
not dislikes, but challeges to:
1. Time to convice legacy minded mangement - "why change what has been working all these while(for >10 years)"
2. somewhat neither low nor top notch for each of its features/functionalities
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
great to able to able to consolidate and centrally manage functions that traditionally span accross atleast 3 seperate platforms

    Consulting

The best single pane of glass for MDM

  • May 17, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Fills in most if not all of the gaps left in the modern productivity and collaboration platform stacks, like MDM for ALL your endpoints, identity and enterprise credential features, etc.

I can't think of any other tools out there that let you truly be free from being under the thumb of a certain Redmond, Washington based company... :)
What do you dislike about the product?
Like many SPOG clients, it's not necessarily the best in class in each OS (e.g. macOS), but all around it's the best SPOG out there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting out of reliance on Microsoft for everything

Cloud Native active directory

  • May 17, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud offers a highly convenient and user-friendly administrative experience. It incorporates the majority of essential components necessary for technical security and regulatory compliance. By eliminating the need to create and manage a traditional Active Directory domain, it significantly simplifies deployment and reduces administrative overhead. The lightweight agent installation delivers comprehensive functionality comparable to that of an on-premises Active Directory. Additionally, JumpCloud supports integration with a wide range of IT solutions, enabling efficient and streamlined access control management on a daily basis.
What do you dislike about the product?
Thus far, the product has aligned well with the organization’s requirements, and no significant issues have been encountered. However, there is room for improvement in the quality and responsiveness of customer support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There is no need to establish on-premises directory services or hire specialized personnel to manage them. JumpCloud offers a one-time deployment solution that delivers the full range of Active Directory services, while extending compatibility across various operating systems. It enables comprehensive identity and access management, including the enforcement of password policies, through a centralized platform—effectively serving as a single pane of glass for our organizational needs.
