JumpCloud or JumpBack!
What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud is such a differentiating solution for our business. We have the ability to offer solutions to our customers in ways that simply aren't matched by our competitors. In some ways we don't want people to know about JumpCloud so we can keep the market domination to ourselves. We are happy we chose the route of implementing JumpCloud in our business and we look forward to all the additional features and benefits to come.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some advanced IT service features that we'd love to have but we know they are coming. The remote management tools are improving and we're happy to see the progress.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud helps us avoid the barrier of major migrations from one system to another... ie. Google Workspace and Microsoft 365.
Our users can leverage whatever platforms they prefer and we can still wrap central management tools and strategies around the IT enviroment for success operations and security.

The seamless integration of Identity Management, SSO, cloud directory, RADIUS server, and remote management tools has eliminated manual device configurations, saving us time and resources. What do you dislike about the product?
OS and third-party patching as well as remote access features still need a lot of improvement.
Currently, there's no vulnerability management feature

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest plus at the moment is the MDM feature. Coupled with Apple Business Manager, I don't have to subscribe to yet another SaaS just to provide zero touch deployment for MacOS users.
Being able to manage users, user access, computers and computer settings (using scripts) from one interface is great.

What do you like best about the product?
Having used multiple identity management programs in the past, Jumpcloud stands out in it's ease of use and implementation. In the rare instance I needed support, customer service were helpful and quick in organising a meeting and helping to resolve the issue.

I would've suggest a password manager but it has been implemented and continues to be refined.

Making it easier for our team members to gain and retain access.
Simple, easy-to-use, and always improving.
What do you like best about the product?
Device deployments for JumpCloud have been getting easier and easier. Automated device enrollments make macOS setups very easy, and looking forward to enabling end-user portal enrollment for the clients I support.
I used to manage groups all of the time, but with the new dynamic group feature, it's made device and user groups much easier to set and forget.
JumpCloud support is very helpful in chat, and their response time is always great. They won't close the case without a resolution.

What do you dislike about the product?
Windows Application deployments are a bit limited, and would benefit from implementing some sort of repository where .msi, .exe and other applications typers can be configured and pushed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Single-sign-on and SCIM provisioning for applications has been a pain point for some of our clients. We've been able to formulate a project plan to our client that automates the onboarding of clients from their HR system all the way to their end user applications.
Excellent alternative

The pricing isn't necessarily small business friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It lets me remove directory services from premises, or set up directory services for cloud-first environments.
JumpCloud Review
What do you like best about the product?
Working for a 100% remote company that utilizes Google Workspace but does not manage its devices using Google Workspace, I've fallen in love with JumpCloud's ability to manage devices and software. I can manage my devices and policies using JumpCloud giving me management capabilities that we did not have before.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that the PatchMangement was more than just policies, it would be so much better if we could mange the patches granularly instead of just a policy saying on or off, all or nothing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In a non-Microsoft environment, I am able to manage my users and devices from a single, robust, application.
The complete cloud directory service suite
