Comprehensive and Secure, but Needs Faster Sync and Smoother Device Management
What do you like best about the product?
What I appreciate most about JumpCloud is its cohesive platform that allows for secure management of users, devices, and access from a single dashboard.
It streamlines identity and access management across various systems, facilitating smooth integration with both cloud and on-premises environments.
The zero-trust security framework, automated user provisioning, and centralized policy enforcement not only save time but also enhance compliance and control.
Moreover, its comprehensive reporting, support for multiple platforms, and integration with tools such as MDM, SSO, and MFA render it a complete solution for IT administrators.
The user-friendly interface and robust automation features boost productivity and assist in maintaining security standards effectively throughout the organization.

What do you dislike about the product?
JumpCloud has room for improvement, particularly in its reporting and real-time monitoring features, as data updates and synchronization can sometimes be delayed. While the user interface is generally intuitive, it tends to become sluggish when managing a large number of users or devices. After installing the JumpCloud agent on a device, there are occasions when the device does not appear correctly in the admin dashboard, with the serial number or service tag often displaying as “–”. Even when the system is online, attempting to establish remote access can result in long loading times, and sometimes the connection fails altogether. Some advanced integrations or automation options also require more manual configuration than what is typical on other platforms. Although the mobile device management (MDM) features have improved, they still do not offer the depth needed for enterprise-level use. Overall, JumpCloud is a solid and reliable solution, but enhancements in device synchronization accuracy, connection speed, and dashboard responsiveness would make it even more effective.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud is assisting us in centralizing user management, authentication, and device control across various systems and locations. It streamlines the onboarding and offboarding processes, enforces security policies, and integrates effectively with other tools such as SentinelOne and VPNs. By managing users, access, and devices from a unified console, it significantly saves time for the IT team, minimizes manual effort, and improves overall security compliance. Furthermore, it offers seamless remote access and monitoring, which is essential for supporting distributed teams and ensuring efficient operations throughout our infrastructure.

Easy to use, well supported and comprehensive cloud directory option with MDM Great for education.
What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud is a very straight-foward to use program that allows for easy device deployment and management. Much easier to work with than other MDM's I worked with in the past. It is also available for Windows, Linux and Mac which is a benefit over some other options.
Deployment was easy with their integration team. Very dedicated and flexible in getting JumpCloud deployed. Good support as well.

What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I would like to see improved is LDAP integration over a wider amount of vendors. I wanted to move away from AD completely and have not been able to federate one of my services yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving password policy as well as directory service and MDM for our organization. They have a good remote support tool that I have not used yet, but it appears to be a great feature from what I have tested.

Intuitive and Innovative, But Some Features Need Refinement
What do you like best about the product?
In most situations JC is intuitive and simple. In addition, JC is alway providing updates and sharing beta options for new features that continue to keep it in close competition with other similar software.
What do you dislike about the product?
JumpCloud, like most solutions, has its quirks. For example, not being able to use custom fields for building out logic within groups is a nuance. The ancillary tools such as JumpCloud Password Manager also has unique behavior that I believe, if improved, could help the overall ease of use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A nice all-in-one IT tool for admins.

Robust Security Features for SMBs, But Some Features Need Refinement
What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud stands out as an excellent option for SMB organizations seeking a comprehensive set of features to manage the security of their identities, services, and endpoints. Its capabilities are particularly well-suited for small to medium-sized technology teams responsible for securing and overseeing a workforce that may be on-premise, remote, or a combination of both.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jumpcloud is quickly establishing itself as a strong challenger to established enterprise options in the IAM space, consistently rolling out new features to close the gap with its competitors. However, it can take some time and several iterations for certain features to be fully refined and ready for production use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jumpcloud enables our team to deliver a consistent, compliant, and secure experience for both endpoints and users across our entire organization. As a remote-first company, we rely on Jumpcloud to confidently protect our employees while they work from a variety of locations across Canada, Europe and Central America
Comprehensive IT Management, But Needs Modernization
What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud tends to be an All in One ITSM/IDP that allows you to manage multiple types of hardware, OS - such as windows/Mac and expands into MFA/IDP control that connects into other IDPs such as Azure and allows you a one stop show to configure and manage your environment.
I like that it allows you to work with both Windows and Mac.
I like that it allows you to work with both Windows and Mac.
What do you dislike about the product?
JumpCloud is behind the times in comparison to other programs such as Azure AD/LDAP or JAMF. The IDP is standalone in comparison to regular integrations such as Azure or Okta. However, I find you are able to use it with most everything but you may just not have instructions readily available or when setting up SSO/SAML, not all systems anticipate JC as your IDP and so you need standalone knowledge to set up and cant just follow a document as it likely doesnt exist.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is our go to for IDP, MDM and user/security controls and administration.
It allows us to use one place and have one source of truth for our company and our users. It can take a little bit to learn how to use or manage various types of devices within, but once you are in there and everything is setup, it becomes second nature. It is in fact another MDM, another IDP and does give you the features of MFA and SSO/SAML without needing another program like OKTA.
