Easy to use

  • April 22, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud is automated, so I don't have to remember to update my password. We set a specific timeframe and Jumpcloud let's each user know when they need to update it. It's also HIPAA compliant which is perfect for users like us. It's basically a 3-step verification to get into any important accounts which is very necessary.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it's difficult to get users set up and using the 2FA with Jumpcloud.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
HIPAA compliance, 100%. It has been a lifesaver for us!

Easy to use UI and reliable endpoint management

  • April 22, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
With coding experience, Commands is fantastic - pop all your machines in one group along with commands, run it, and it works like a breeze.

The integration of VPP is also fantastic. A remote employee can be sent a machine straight from Apple, create their new mac account and start using the apps they need for their role with no touch from us.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limitations include the ability to incorporate mobiles like iOS and Android. We have a large fleet, and we need to separate capabilities for this amongst MDM platforms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've realized we can also integrate RADIUS and WIFI requirements direct onto the machines. TOTP is another huge benefit for us.

What do you like best about the product?
The cross-platform support and the simple admin UI
What do you dislike about the product?
The SSO does not seem to be as mature yet, and there is also no ability to upload custom applications for deployment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud is helping me to achieve zero trust architectural implementation at my organization.

Cloud managed directory for various OS

  • April 22, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Having a mostly Apple environment, but with some Windows devices, we needed a flexible solution for user management. Jumpcloud provides this for us. The LDAP function can integrate with a lot of different services, increasing the ease of end-user password management.
What do you dislike about the product?
The commands section editor is a bit clunky. The field for the command is very small and does not extend, This is no problem for a 1-liner, but it makes it very difficult to write a script directly in the editor.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The simple to navigate cloud-based interface has been a huge help during these times when everyone suddenly started to work from home.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking to migrate away from a classic AD, or have a non-Windows environment, that's manageable from everywhere, this may be the solution you're looking for.

JumpCloud Small Business Deployment

  • April 22, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The JumpCloud Radius as a Service feature allows me to secure Wi-Fi authentication with WPA2 Enterprise Security and certificates without the need of an on-premises RADIUS server to manage. Users only have to manage a single set of credentials. OS Agnostic Directory as a Service to enable Single-Sign-On is pretty sweet!
What do you dislike about the product?
The ability to push AD GPO-like policies doesn't seem to be there yet. The ability to push a firewall SSL certificate into a client's trusted certificate store would be helpful for SSL inspection.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
RADUIS as a Service for WiFi Authentication and WPA2 Enterprise Security
Recommendations to others considering the product:
JumpCloud has a lot of potential. It's not an enterprise-class directory service yet. However, if you're not a big Microsoft shop running on-prem AD servers and AzureAD it's definitely worth a look.

Jumpcloud makes life seamless

  • April 21, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud makes deployment more accessible and seamless to use
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not seen a reason not to dislike Jumpcloud
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes the directory as a service so seamless when we had migrations to it. Also, single sign-on, password policy, and IAM became easier.

Great ADaaS - Saved Us During the Pandemic

  • April 21, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Cloud-based identity/resource management! Jumpcloud seemingly has everything an IT department will need to push compliance and governance across so many areas of IT business. Applications, Directories, Hardware, Package Deployment, SSO, and the list goes on.
What do you dislike about the product?
MacOS JumpCloud agent frequently de-syncs when the network changes. This is mostly an issue with the fact that MacOS does not allow connecting to a network from the login screen, but this causes frequent lockouts when our MacOS users travel. If their machine is offline for too long and the user is in a location where they have never connected to the internet they often get locked out at the MacOS login screen.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud solves a slew decentralized resource management issues related to COVID, or having a lack of on-prem infrastructure. JumpCloud was already a useful tool for us when we were on-prem, but when COVID hit JumpCloud kept the IT function of our business running smoothly as we transitioned to working from home.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you don't have a directory service in your organization, there is no need to have any on-prem infrastructure with JumpCloud. Installing the agent takes a minute, then the device is managed in the JumpCloud dashboard. If you do have existing directories, JumpCloud can integrate with them pretty quickly.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use interface. Cloud availability.
What do you dislike about the product?
Timer on scripts is too short for some operations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are bringing multiple operating system farms under a single umbrella.

Securing wifi even easier

  • April 21, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of integration
Simplicity to add enterprise authentication to wifi deployment
Easy management of identities
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like more radius pops - ideally closer to my region
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Wifi access and identity management
Management from anywhere
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely would consider Jumpcloud if looking to manage identity and not looking for the overhead of on prem or other more expensive solutions.
