Great for small business moving to the cloud

  • April 21, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
For any small businesses with a domain controller onsite, JUmpcloud is a great way to get rid of that on-premise server and still get a directory.
What do you dislike about the product?
The need to re-certify the connection between O365 and Jumpcloud.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping small businesses avoid having to replace an expensive server that is just being a file server and DC.

JumpCloud DaaS

  • April 21, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I most like the ability to add devices to JumpCloud quickly. This makes onboarding new devices much quicker. A simple PowerShell script can be loaded and executed to link every machine to our JumpCloud directory.
What do you dislike about the product?
JumpCloud does not provide real RADIUS services. It can be used as a RADIUS server, but you will not be able to match against user groups. This has created a few challenges for SSO flexibility.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud has helped us keep user passwords up to date in our new work-from-home environment. We can also use JumpCloud to manage computer policies to make management easier and more streamlined.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
JumpCloud would be an excellent solution for any company wanting to operate in a full cloud environment. If your environment uses physical servers you may want to consider on-premise or hybrid active directory.

Great Cloud Management with One Glitch

  • April 21, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
How simple it is for not only the administrators to manage the accounts and devices, but also how simple it is for the users to manage their own accounts.
What do you dislike about the product?
When moving an existing profile from a local domain account to JumpCloud, we hit some issues converting the profile and ended up having to rebuild a few of them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Some of our clients were not on local or cloud domains. JumpCloud allowed us to manage those devices and credentials without the need for a server or settings up Azure AD.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have any clients or machines that do not currently have a local or cloud domain or identity management, check out JumpCloud. Keep in mind that there may be a glitch or two while moving profiles. Also, the machine name can't be the same as the username when using JumpCloud or you may get additional errors.

Great product! Would recommend to everyone!

What do you like best about the product?
It's straightforward to use and has some great features. They also have an excellent team that is easy to work with to provide support when needed. Also, have some great guides for easily configuring/setting up. The interface is also very clean, and easy to understand what is needed when setting up. Once again, highly recommend Jumpcloud to anyone. There are quite a few configuration options, and the MDM and software management features are great! The security management options are also great, and easy to configure. User management is also great, and easy to set up and configure, with plenty of options
What do you dislike about the product?
I honestly have no complaints or dislikes about this product at all. It works perfectly and easy to use and set up. I'm not sure why anyone would have any dislikes for Jumpcloud. It's a pretty great service.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A nice, easy to use replacement for AD in the cloud. Also helps with the device configurations and other utilities, which is great. It's easier to configure and use than other directory products and has a great feature set. The security management features, as well as MDM and policies are all top notch, and I have had no issues with any of them so far. Like I said, great feature set, and look forward to things that might possibly come in the future with Jumpcloud.

What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud is mainly user-friendly for the end-users. It almost covers complete enterprise to authenticate, authorize, and manage users, devices, and applications. It all quickly via a standard directory in the cloud, instead of through legacy, on-premises IT systems. It can perform various kernel operating systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does not support Big Sur 11.2.3 as of now. It is a significant dislike.

User controls like password reset, Policy apply user groups, device information, etc.

JumnpCloud is an excellent DaaS company!

  • April 21, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud's directory services implementation is simple and straightforward. Their support is excellent. And moving from AD authentication to Google login for our users was very straightforward.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, there's not really anything I can think of that I dislike. They continue to improve the product and add new features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
First and foremost, moving from Active Directory to Directory Services authentication has removed the nasty overhead AD requires admins to maintain. We are AD-free and loving it! Additionally, we are moving to JumpCloud's new MDM for our macOS and Win clients. Very simple and intuitive.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If considering JumpCloud, please do a full trial, which will require you to fully set it up. Run it for a couple weeks. You will not be sorry. I am extremely satisfied with JumpCloud and would recommend it, without reservation, to anyone.
