Wonderfully robust system

  • November 07, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I've used JumpCloud at previous companies to unify multi location operations into a unified system without Active Directory great solution for single sign-on, uniform passwords for employees. Device management, and Wi-Fi radius. While many have copied, I still think it is the best and highly recommend.
What do you dislike about the product?
I cannot think of many negatives, other than sometimes it is difficult to explain to some people that active directory is not a requirement to have unified Mac and Windows login
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Everything I selected above. Beautiful one stop shop. There are a few connections that I'm still waiting on, but they have a wonderful repository. Always developing.

Easy to use, but a pain to set up

  • November 07, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud has a lot of connectivity and is a thorough system to manage laptops and devices. I enjoy that it's easy to sync with google workspace.
What do you dislike about the product?
Time to getting set up is long. Definitely hire a jumpcloud expert to do managed set up. Lots of little caveats and things you want to have set up from the beginning.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud allows us to have good oversight into all our devices. It's even let us remote wipe a device when it was stolen. It's nice to have it as a single source of truth for devices and users.

Efficient Device Management, Password Reset Needs Tweak

  • November 07, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the ease of managing devices and assigning group access with JumpCloud. It's a major time saver for managing multiple devices when I need to. The initial setup was pretty straightforward, which was great.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like getting locked out of my account and that users have to be independent to reset their password. It would be better if it was mandatory for users to reboot after completing a password reset.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use JumpCloud to manage devices and group access. It eases managing devices and group access, saving me time when managing multiple devices.

Adding Multifactor to VPN

  • November 07, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud was the perfect fit for our clients that needed to add Multifactor to their VPN solution without having to add a server in their environment!!!
What do you dislike about the product?
While our implementation is not exactly how Jumpcloud wants to be used, we found it perfect for what we needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our clients needed to protect their VPN access with multifactor, so we integrated Jumpclouds radius server to their environment to provide this service.

It's a decent online ID provider and MDM service, reasonably priced

  • November 07, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It does what it sets out to do. It's not the most full featured in any given area - you could get better services if you used multiple vendors independently - but there aren't many that handle everything in one pane of glass. It's pretty easy to use - the console is fairly intuitive. The knowledge base could do with some updating, but the support ticketing system responds very quickly. The pricing is reasonable for all the functionality it gives. It was simple to integrate with Google Workspaces and LDAPS was easy to set up.
What do you dislike about the product?
The knowledge base pages are fairly uninformative. There isn't a test area to see what the effect of global changes would be - you're doing it live, which is a bit fraught with peril.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed an ID provider with SSO and an MDM setup at a reasonable price. It's fulfilled that brief quite well.
