One stop shop for secure onboarding of assets and applications across organization.

  • February 22, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
System Insights and Remote setup of employee systems. Readily available community over slack which is helpful and available round the clock. Pre-defined SSO integrations for a variety of organization applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
Integrations with the custom applications are not that smooth and as obvious depends a lot on the third party vendor on what kind of subscription would be required.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote System onboarding, Overall organization security compliance.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are considering an SSO feature from JC, that works flawlessly. Do consider the investment that needs to be done on the third-party subscription level. That was a shocker for us. Also, the compatibility with Linux machines is limited as compared to Mac/Windows which is understood but something which you should consider before jumping into the decisions. The system information or insights that are available are good to start with but there is a different paid service that can be added as an add-on which provides more details.

AD as SaaS - No need for a tedious local AD server

  • February 22, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is great to have everything online (it even works offline) and since it is a SaaS solution they continuously try to improve and add to the functionality. Also, you don't need to worry about updates, this is done automatically and it is easy to get started with the solution and you have a great overview of your systems(laptops etc) and users. Also works for a multi-OS environment (Windows, Mac and Linux)

They have support for lots of SSO connections and integrations with both GSuite and Office365, so you can even create users in Jumcloud which gets replicated into these environments. And you can easily add MFA to have the users being even more secure.

JumpCloud also has a great support team which is super friendly and helpful in solving any potential issue.
What do you dislike about the product?
The focus lately has been on enterprise functionality which is not relevant for us (we are a smaller company) and we have encountered lockout of users when you change the password on a laptop but the mobile has the old password.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
* Centralized overview of user/systems
* Centralized logs
* Centralized application updates
* Staying compliant with ISO27001
* SSO integration with apps
* Multiple OS management (Windows, Mac and Linux)
* LDAP and Radius services
* Possible to run PowerShell commands remotely
* Multifactor Authentication (MFA)
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Its the future way for AD, especially now during the pandemic where people are forced to work from home, this solution works on a global scale.

Good AD alternative for managing users for cloud servers

  • February 22, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy and straightforward to setup and has worked reliably for our use-case.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really has come up but we certainly have not used all the features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a fleet of Windows Servers in the cloud environment, along with some Linux and BDS ones, and the biggest problem before discovering JumpCloud was how to centrally manage user logins for the Windows ones without having to resort to installing Active Directory (which comes with its own MS licensing headaches in the hosted environment) or having duplicate local user accounts for each servers. JumpCloud nicely solved this problem by allowing us to create users centrally to their directory and then maintaining the local users accounts accordingly on each servers.
