Jumpcloud is Simple and Intuitive

  • August 13, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud is easy to use. The UI is easy to understand, and there is ample support documents for anything you don't know how to do. Its great that its supports Mac and Windows. I use it every day to see what computers need updates and offer remote assistance. If you need advanced help the support team is quick to respond to tickets.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few quirks with navigation of the menus but they are minor. And sometimes the remote support doesn't work properly, for instance on Mac I cant drag items for some reason.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Give me a unified way to remote into users computers. Allows me to force password changes and give standard users temporary admin rights. I can also look up what users are using what computers for inventory purposes.

Reliable, Multi-OS Support with Room for Improvement

  • August 13, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate JumpCloud's reliability and flexibility, especially with their recent updates that enhance reporting features. It's crucial for audits, system inventory, and user habits. I value its compatibility with different operating systems, simplifying management through one platform. Additionally, JumpCloud’s integration with Asset Sonar is crucial for keeping our data precise and up-to-date. The remote access tool is great for time-saving support tasks, and new reporting features maintain system continuity. JumpCloud’s support for multiple operating systems, including Windows, Mac, and Ubuntu Linux, enables our expansion needs effectively.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find certain limitations with JumpCloud's remote desktop tool frustrating, particularly its inability to switch seamlessly between user accounts without needing a new session, unlike AnyDesk. Additionally, the lack of integration with security platforms like SentinelOne or CrowdStrike is a concern. Integration with such platforms would allow for better monitoring of user device security status and could streamline operations by reducing the need to compare data across different systems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud enhances reliability and ease in managing devices across operating systems, simplifies remote access, improves accurate reporting, and integrates well with our inventory management, benefiting our operational efficiency and data accuracy.

Effortless User & Access Management with JumpCloud

  • August 13, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I’ve been using JumpCloud to manage user access across multiple systems, and it’s been a complete game-changer for my workflow. The ability to create groups and assign users to them—similar to how I use Twingate—means I can roll out access to multiple resources in just a few clicks. No more individually configuring accounts or permissions for every single user; I simply drop them into the right group, and they instantly have access to the tools, applications, and networks they need.

What I really appreciate is how centralized and intuitive everything is. Whether I’m onboarding a new hire or changing permissions for an existing employee, the process is seamless. I can manage authentication, control access policies, and integrate with various platforms all from one place.

JumpCloud has not only saved me countless hours of repetitive admin work but has also improved our security posture. By grouping users and applying policies globally, I’m confident that every person has exactly the access they need—nothing more, nothing less.

If you’re managing multiple users across different systems, JumpCloud takes the headache out of it. It’s like having a master key for your IT environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI can feel a bit clunky at times, and some advanced settings take a few extra clicks to find, but nothing that’s a dealbreaker.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud centralizes our user management and access control, eliminating the need to manually configure accounts across multiple systems. It solves the problem of inconsistent permissions and time-consuming onboarding by letting me assign access through groups. This not only speeds up deployment of tools and applications but also strengthens security by ensuring users have exactly the permissions they need—no more, no less.

A comprehensive and user-friendly IAM solution for modern IT environments

  • August 13, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud offers a unified platform that simplifies identity and access management across multiple operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux. I especially like its intuitive interface, seamless integration with tools like Google Workspace, Okta, and Slack, and the ability to enforce Zero Trust policies. The device management capabilities through MDM and endpoint insights are also a huge plus, helping us manage security at scale. Their cloud-native directory has allowed us to move away from traditional on-prem AD infrastructure with ease.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the overall experience is great, I’ve found that mobile device management (especially for iOS and Android) still lacks the depth offered by competitors like Intune or Jamf. Group policy controls can also be limited when trying to replicate traditional AD GPO functionalities. Additionally, as the number of users or devices grows, the admin UI can feel a bit cluttered. Premium support being tied to higher pricing tiers could also be improved for broader accessibility.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud has helped us move away from the limitations of traditional on-premises Active Directory by offering a cloud-based identity and device management solution. It solves the challenge of managing users, devices, and access across a distributed workforce, especially in hybrid or remote environments. With its centralized directory, we can easily manage user provisioning, enforce multi-factor authentication (MFA), apply security policies, and integrate with essential tools like Google Workspace, Zoom, and Slack.

The platform also simplifies onboarding and offboarding, saving us valuable time and reducing human error. Its ability to manage both Mac and Windows devices from a single console provides great flexibility, and the detailed activity logs enhance security and audit readiness. Overall, JumpCloud has significantly improved our IT operations, security posture, and user experience.
