Modern AD for Modern Infrastructure
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use, AD Migration toolkit, and support are bar none. It's easy to use, just works, and provides functionality beyond AD that is perfect for the modern remote work environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only dislike is the lack of features. Adding in tools for remoting into your devices and more GPO type features would be great. I'm sure all of these "dislikes" are future features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to push software, policy, and provide businesses AD and password security whether they're on or off the companies internal network.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking for a worthy replacement of traditional AD and movement to the modern workforce, this is for you. You will love it.

Simplicity of setting up and managing. Saved me tons of time

I struggled with the MDM solution with Apple. I never really got it enabled. looked like I needed another add-on

Managing a remote team and their devices. Simplicity. Serverless

If you are looking for a well integrated , easy system to use with lots of features, this is it. Saved me tons of time.
JumpCloud is the way to go when it comes to a cloud directory solution!
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy multiple factors of JC like the Directory Insights, the easy user imports from GSuite to JC, the creation of device groups AND user groups, and the usage of radius servers for authentication.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since I transitioned from AD, I wish there was more GPO manipulation in JC. They have registry keys that you can manipulate but I need to be able to have more accessibility to the GPO hierarchy.
I also keep having this status-check RADIUS login failure on one of my APs and none of the techs have given me a solid answer to what is happening. Also, devices connected via Wi-Fi via the RADIUS feature and the wifi connectivity would just drop. I would check JC for reasoning and there is no way to see what is happening with wifi-dropped devices.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Device management, directory management, and RADIUS authentication. It has been very easy to manage the devices in my fleet and create and manage new, existing, and termed users.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have an organization that has 10+ stationary users or even a centralized location for your end-users then this solution is perfect. Even if you have remote users, it is easy to join them in your JC domain. There's a lot of benefits and I think it is huge that you can access the Admin portal from anywhere as long as you have Internet.
JumpCloud Success for DAAS and Management
What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud was very easy to set up and get started. The DAAS is as simple as adding users, no fuss at all. Adding agents to devices was also super simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are using the password and device management feature on our laptops. One device that I shipped out to a new users had a password syncing issue when it couldn't connect to the internet, that was difficult to work through - mostly because it was a Mac.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed some centralized management of accounts as well as light tough policies on laptops. We have streamlines our process around these areas, and we are able to push out policies for the first time in company history.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for an easy to stand up LDAP / DAAS service in combination with some controls over devices, JumpCloud is a good choice. If we want to take a heavier approach to device management and easy to find analytics, JumpCloud might not be as strong as some other choices. That said, they continue to push out new features that push deeper and deeper into this area.

Ability to run reports and send remote commands without user interaction (this feature is great for troubleshooting)
User guides are great and easy to follow
Wishlist where you can request a feature you would like to have, and it is considered and evaluated

What do you dislike about the product?
Most of the features are limited to Linux, and we are heavy Linux users
The password reset process can improve for Windows / Linux
It would be great to have Geolocation enabled to determine where the users are connecting from

JumpCloud is the best cloud directory platform
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to manage passwords to other SaaS apps and directory integrations from one place in the cloud.
What do you dislike about the product?
Directory insights or any logging feature is not available which should be an embedded feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Constant account lockouts which impacts VPN access from Active Directory. With JumpCloud the user is self served in resetting their own passwords and therefore reduces their contact with our help desk.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider how easy it is to configure and other tools such as MDM, Software Management and Commands [ability to run commands directly on the device]

What do you like best about the product?
Good replacement for AD. Includes Mac support. No infrastructure investment. Supports remote workforce.
What do you dislike about the product?
Missing some policy features vs AD, but most of that can be compensated for with scripts deployed via JumpCloud.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are an MSP and this allows us to give enterprise directory features to our small clients on a platform that scales with their growth.

Not much for our needs. The only thing that comes to mind is a Windows MDM as robust as their Mac solution.

SSO for Multi platforms, IAM, fleet policies, user management.

Dev team is really dynamic and JumpCloud is really well made, and getting better everyday

What do you like best about the product?
Device Management (Windows and MAC) and GSuite integration are very easy to setup

The user have to rename the local user with a process that is not very simple to be runned by a non technical user

Easy management with SSO option!!
What do you like best about the product?
We have a few users that log into multiple different Mac's and their password was always different. We use JumpCloud SSO to solve this issue. We also added MFA to our MacOS logins!
What do you dislike about the product?
When your password changes, it can cause some funk with MacOS KeyChain.
