Simplifies every day & always great new features

What do you like best about the product?
I have a busy workload and a lot of different things to look after - different queues, different jobs, hundreds of assets. Jumpcloud makes it incredibly easy to keep our assets up to date and keep our users in touch with what they need. It's also one of the first touchpoints for new users, and so far it's been a real blessing - it's easy for non-IT oriented people to understand.
I've had great experiences with Jumpcloud's account managers as well, as they take their time to make sure Jumpcloud is keeping up with our evolving requirements.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have a lot of negative things to say about Jumpcloud to tell the truth! Even for someone new to IT like me, as an IT admin the documentation is thorough and support readily available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simplifies security and program access for users, and keeps it easy to make sure all staff have what they need via groups. Really enjoy the ease & speed of new program rollout, and it looks as though that's likely to improve even more in the near future.

Very adaptable and quick to implement

  • July 28, 2020

What do you like best about the product?
SAML2.0 integrations are incredibly easy to perform, and that is still facilitated by hundreds of preset configurations for most market applications, and growing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really. The product is very stable and grows continuously. JumpCloud also regularly asks its customers about wanted features and even participating in feature betas.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Practically zero implementation time for a full fledged LDAP directory with policy management for mac, windows and linux, client OS integration (even for password changes), multiple directory sources, legacy support for AD environments, and much more. It's really a great solution out of the box. Our company uses it as our primary authentication source.

The software that changed the game for companies everywhere

What do you like best about the product?
What do I like best? I think the list goes on and on way too long for this. JumpCloud does everything I could think of. From LDAP, to IDP, to server authentication, to MDM and so much more. JumpCloud has helped Octane solve so many issues that I didn't even know I needed to solve. And on top of that their support team and our account manager are the absolute best.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I dislike about JumpCloud right now is that since we have so many bookmarks and SSO connections on the user portal, there is no favorites page on there for them to only star the applications they use daily. Its getting cumbersome to keep track and find the applications you need sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With JumpCloud we provide radius for our VPN server along with our office networks. We are solving an active directory problem as well as hardware management. We are solving security issues with their SAML and SSO connectors. We use JumpCloud to authenticate in real-time user access to our servers. And the list goes on and on.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want affordable software to manage everything from end-users to infrastructure this tool is 100% exactly what you are looking for. And if that doesn't sell you, speak with one of their support members or account managers and you will be sold. Amazing staff at this company!

Solid central auth platform - more then enough intergrations for almost any company

  • July 28, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Single place to auth all systems - SAAS and OnPrem. Enforce policies and report against them with Insights
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be a bit clunky, not always the smoothest UI
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since source for auth - no more 22 passwords per user depending on what they need.

Jump Cloud review

  • July 28, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The things I like the most about Jump Cloud is the ease of initial setup as well as the integrations it supports. It provides a more affordable alternative to Active Directory and eliminates the needs of on prem servers.
What do you dislike about the product?
The MFA platform can use some improvements. Also, I would like to see more policies to be able to push out machine policies, such as backgrounds and other similar user profile items.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest issue we are solving is getting rid of on-prem server infrastructure and providing an easier and more secure way to connect to cloud apps.

JumpCloud removes the need for a domain; replaced AD perfectly

  • July 28, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Moving to JumpCloud is like a brick and mortar store moving to online sales - it's how it should be. They make user and resource management a snap, have great support and can scale globally without heavy infrastructure costs.
What do you dislike about the product?
They are still a young company and some of the tools could have a better graphical interface (for non Powershell users like myself)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are getting rid of domain infrastructure and overhead. JumpCloud makes it really easy to quickly assign user access to machines and know exactly what's running on machines. There's way less overhead than AD.

Replace your on-prem AD server with Jumpcloud

  • June 26, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud offers 10 users free, forever!
What do you dislike about the product?
Without paid support, it can be difficult to adapt to using Jumpcloud if you're not familiar with Active Directory and Group Policies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Even without a global pandemic going on, our company is at least 60% remote. Solving the issues of users working remotely is what Jumpcloud specializes in. Cloud first was my philosophy when I began down this road, and JumpCloud definitely fits that model. No longer do you have to maintain on-prem servers and figure out how to securely allow remote access to them just so your users can log into their systems. JumpCloud handles all of that for you and frees you up to focus on more important issues. Its not "Active Directory in the cloud", but its close! What sets Jumpcloud apart from other solutions is their cross-platform support. Their support for MacOS is fantastic, and even linux workstations have some support!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're managing a mixed environment of workstations and looking for a cloud replacement for your on-prem AD server, look no further than Jumpcloud!
