Good service

What do you like best about the product?
I like mostly the Windows user management and Jumpcloud commands. Jumpcloud commands have helped us in removing any configuration management tool. It works in the same way as we wanted.
What do you dislike about the product?
Users who are not admin in the portal cannot see the servers they have access to. This creates an issue because each user comes to us asking the IPs of the server they have access to. For me, the user portal is just for password management and we can't do anything else with that.

Secondly, if I want to remove a specific user from a server, it prompts that removing this user from the server will also remove it from the group this user belongs to. I think I should be able to adhoc remove a user from a server without modifying any group.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mostly it is resolving issues with user management and grouping in the server and removing the need for a configuration management tool to be managed by our team.

Great Service and Product

What do you like best about the product?
Great product offering. Also, I had some custom setup issues and custom licensing requirements and they worked quickly to get me setup with custom pricing specific to my needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to date. I do hope they add RADIUS metrics to their product offering and insight dashboard as it would be helpful to my application. I've put in a request with their product team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Multi-tenancy WiFi. I have 3 WiFi networks that i charge people to use. I issue them a unique username and password and use the cloud RADIUS to allow them access to multiple networks.

Great free for life option

What do you like best about the product?
Great UI, Easy to use and it's free for less than 10 users/devices. This has made it the perfect platform for our Sales Engineering team when needing to demo/test SAML-based SSO. Add on top of this the quick, friendly support and you've got a mighty fine product.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've only run into two snags so far:

1. They sent me a $10k+ bill erroneously once. This sunk my stomach and took about a week to straighten out. It's not happened since and they've worked with me to ensure that I never get a real bill as a surprise for overage of users by accident.
2. In the past they've not had support for SCIM. I'm not sure where they currently sit as the docs are a bit muddy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use JumpCloud to demo and troubleshoot SAML-based SSO for our Software. We're a Sales Engineering team and needed something quick and easy to spin up, was free and supported SAML 2.0. This has been the perfect fit.

Best way to set up and up and track your business Apple and other computers.

What do you like best about the product?
The user interface is easy to use and I am able to set up new hardware and deploy it in a fraction of the time it would take me before. I also like that I can disable and wipe devices if we need.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think of anything I dislike about the system other than it would be nice to have a map of all the devices.. It works well for everything I need for my operation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud makes it easy for me to set up and deploy computers to our staff and gives me the peace of mind that I can track and erase them or lock them on the fly if we ever need to.

Jumpcloud is a one stop shop for MDM!

  • July 21, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Jumpcloud is the ability to manage all of my company's devices from one console. Doesn't matter what my end user is on, Mac, Linux, Windows, I can keep it secure and manage all the policies.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Jumpcloud is there are times when our users are not able to log in to their laptops if they are not on a recognized home network. For example, if they are trying to connect to a coffee shop instead of their home wifi, the agent will report that the device is not connecting to the Jumpcloud admin console and the user is then denied access to their machine
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jumpcloud is solving the problem of mobile device management in an OS-Agnostic type of environment. Most MDM systems only manage Mac or Windows. Jumpcloud is able to manage Mac, Windows, and Linux.

What do you dislike about the product?
The payment portal could be redone. I had slight issues when updating a payment source for the services.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
IT Management and routing. We are able to manage our devices and accounts effectively

The Simplicity

  • July 21, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What's most helpful about JumpCloud is that they have the JumpCloud University and hundreds of training videos and modules to help the administrators to perform tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. There is nothing to dislike about JumpCloud!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is making the process of setting up our Mac machines by being synched with our Apple Business Manager account less time-consuming in order to get them deployed to the user.

Simplicity of setting up the customer/client.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish it had more mac management features, better integrated with windows counterparts.

Sensational

What do you like best about the product?
The solution is being innovative in the market, bringing great versatility in the management of equipment and environments as a whole,
What do you dislike about the product?
even though I am not in favor of different types of subscriptions, I think it has to be a single package, where there is no need for support or need for new ideas from other customers
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
What would be interesting is for the platform to have a more elaborate Assets Manager session, with status monitoring according to the itil standard

Support Was Incredibly Prompt and Helpful In Resolving Issues

  • July 21, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud has excellent support. I was using JumpCloud's LDAP as a service and encountered an issue early on where I suddenly could not view my tenants. Normally, this would be a negative thing, but Support quickly diagnosed the issue as being on their end, and escalated my ticket, at 2 AM Eastern. Knowing it was out of my control and assuming that our services would just start working again when it was resolved, I went to bed and woke up to an email from my support tech. The email had been sent one hour later and informed me the issue should be resolved and to please try again. It worked flawlessly from then on, and I only stopped using it because the business I was integrating it into announced it was closing. Will definitely use JumpCloud again next time I need SSO.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found the JumpCloud interface confusing at times. Accessing a Tennant locked me into viewing only that tenant's data and enabled services, which became an issue as I was trying to activate certain services on that tenant and could find no way to do that from the Master Administrator interface. I would love to see more in-depth instructional videos on their YouTube, as these seem like common things to need to do. Still, considering the responsiveness of support, if the project had not shut down I'm sure I would have been able to learn the interface fairly quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was using JumpCloud LDAP for a Company's many IT devices and providing staff permissions and access to several intranet websites via single-sign-on. I very much appreciated the 10 free users, as this made it possible to configure the environment fully at a micro-scale for no cost, before onboarding our entire team. While I could have provided LDAP and SSO from on-premise infrastructure, JumpCloud provided an entry point into this ecosystem that was relatively new to me and also the security and stability of knowing that our business-necessary services would remain accessible in case of an on-premise server error.
