Needed for the modern workforce

  • March 02, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Having cloud directory and app provisioning services is necessary in today's world. Since there are so many cloud apps and business portals to manage, it can save organizations a lot of time and complexity by utilizing a tool like JumpCloud. Creating a unified access and authentication experience for end users makes their lives easier while maintaining security, which is often difficult to achieve.
What do you dislike about the product?
I was glad to see the release of a password manager product as this area was lacking in the platform since not all apps have SSO capabilities. Unfortunately, the password manager product doesn't seem to be quite there in its effectiveness and usefulness since it doesn't seem to have an adaptive search capability (based on the URL that you have active) and its password injection doesn't work correctly on a few sites. But at least it exists and I'm sure will get better over time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jump cloud solves the complexity of managing several different logins, including on the local device level. It allows us to be flexible whether we are in the office or out of the office to gain secure access to our needed resources.

Novice IT guy review

What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud makes it easy to provision users! Have a legacy Windows 2013 AD server, but all new users since then are native JumpCloud syncing Office 365 and Google.
What do you dislike about the product?
Learning curve. It's not that things are really that hard, it just don't have the time to develve into JumpCloud to take advantage of all the features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Eliminating Active Directory. Syncing Google and Office 365 user base.

Better endpoint control functionality, easy start than in Google Workspace and Microsoft Intune

  • March 02, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy start, no fuss x10 workstation forever free trial, very detailed endpoint monitoring, support for remote workstation erase for Windows, Mac and Linux. I'll probably go with in after test driving similar functionality of Google Workspace and Microsoft Intune for our med-size org.
What do you dislike about the product?
No disadvantages have been discovered so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MDM for Windows, Mac and Linux, context aware access and IdP

Great experience and system use

  • March 02, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud is a handy tool that helps my organization to stay on track and manage employee devices. We are still looking into learning more about its features. Excellent software.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, there hasn't been anything that we dislike about JumpCloud. We haven't run into any problems or blockers. It's straightforward to use; all it takes is practice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a zero-trust directory platform, we use it to authenticate, authorize, and manage users, devices, and applications. JumpCloud does it all through a shared directory in the cloud instead of through legacy, on-premises IT systems.

Great cloud-based directory option available for different OS including Windows and MacOS

  • March 02, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to configure and deploy, a great cloud-based directory solution available for remote workstations of different OS, including Windows, MacOs and Linux workstations.
What do you dislike about the product?
JumpCloud works just fine as expected, it would be nice if it could be more affordable for larger installations, as the cost can be considerable depending on the amount of devices and users connected to the system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We could not find any better solution to manage cloud directory services using different OS (Windows, MacOS and Linux) , so JumpCloud is really doing a great job.

Incredible Game Changing Software

  • March 02, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We deeply appreciate the versatility that Jumpcloud provides. The software utilization and simpleness makes it our best resource for our remote employees across the country!
What do you dislike about the product?
its not that we do not like anything about jumpcloud. Using Chocolately took some time of investment in order to learn that tool. After a bit it became easy to use! so the interface between apple and jumpcloud is amazing. Between jumpcloud & windows is a little more time consuming but still useful!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Centralizing all of our devices! We struggled to access and manage all of the software updates with the various devices we had across apple, windows and linux! so this was an absolute game changer. Central control makes our lives easier and simplifies workflows to save our time to focus on more important business demands

Good Product but Better Products Available

  • March 02, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The user interface was easy to navigate and contained a lot of features that other MDMs do not have such as the ability to do RADIUS authentication and be used as an IDP.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is an expensive platform. Yes, it does a lot of stuff in one platform, but it is easier/better to use different software for each tool, such as RADIUS server, IDP, and MDM.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were using it as an MDM becuase it is very easy to spin up a tenant, but we eventually switched to a more powerful MDM and continue to use the product for RADIUS authentication.

The Perfect Startup Tool

  • March 02, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
MDM, LDAP, SSO, IdP, Directory sync... it has so many capabilities that make it a great fit for small companies that want to start somewhere. As you use the product, you can see the endless potential that it can have.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although it's great for startups, it feels like it gets to a point where customizability and usability begin to decrease depending on specific tasks and duties.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It creates an all-in-one place for IT needs and necessities that can be as robust as you want it to be depending on the scripts, policies, and configurations that you push out.
