What do you like best about the product?
e3 Civic High is a small, public charter that provides a MacBook Air to each of our over 500 staff and students. We use a variety of software tools to manage devices and accounts over a range of services with a staff of only two while maintaining the privacy requirements of FERPA as well as our state reporting requirements. The ability to integrate with many commonly used systems and script integrations with our unique systems dramatically reduces the amount of time we spend on routine tasks allowing us to provide more resources to educational endeavors while continuing to provide quality service.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have run into a few user interface performance issues around our special cases where specific sets of machines are available to all users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud maintains our identity and provides SSO across a wide range of tools.
I like the functionality for the most part. there are some features I wish JC had.
What do you like best about the product?
Easy user and hardware management. Application management is great provided they are SAML2 compatible.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few applications and services that do not support custom SAML2 configurations, and this negates SSO integration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jumpcloud is making our hardware management incredibly easy. I also love the system insights so I can pull all machine data in a pinch.
Easy to integrate. Very powerful and configurable
What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud makes it easy to set up your user accounts and manage them. It is then easy to set up things such as Google SSO, and there are loads of helpful integration guides on their site
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing so far. The platform is very powerful and so navigating the settings can be a bit overwhelming. But stick to what you need and you'll be ok. Again, the documentation is very good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing a user directory, integrating that with Google Suite and AWS.
Modern domainless is finally here!
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ease of seeing and managing the fleet of devices and users we have from the cloud without any need for a domain or VPN. It also works across Windows, Mac, and Linux with very little complication...something that I have not seen from any competitors.
What do you dislike about the product?
My biggest gripe is that I cannot prevent users with Admin access from getting rid of the Jumpcloud client if they chose to do so. This is a massive loophole that can lead to lost data with a malicious employee.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jumpcloud is solving my ability to manage user workstations and credentials with a remote workforce that is spread out across the country and even overseas. I would say our ability to manage users and workstation data has been greatly improved.
Ease of setup and administration
What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to setup and configure with other apps
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the directions are very confusing. Also the agents for windows synch just go offline for some reason. A restart fixes it but it happens frequently
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Password synch with other apps
