What do you like best about the product?
Simple set up and a free trial for up to ten devices. Support that doesn't try to up sell was a breath of fresh air when it came to scoping out my next mdm solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish I had more control over over some of the devices. Specifically iPad OS and iOS.i know they said it's coming but I needed iOS mdm yesterday. Had great for osx but wasn't there for the other two
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have a extremely rare use case and they worked with me to get it solved. Great experience working with their team. Had a small team that needed mdm and jump cloud made it happen in a flash

A solid, well-polished, and comprehensive MSP-Friendly device management solution

  • March 08, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The different modules interconnect well, allowing you to approach from whichever angle you're currently coming from. Their support team is friendly and responsive, and their setup is very MSP/Multi-Tenant friendly. Their streamlined policy options make managing your devices far simpler than other solutions. MDM enrollment was low-impact, and efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
We would have liked to see options for Android devices at this point, as that was the one piece keeping us from using Jumpcloud for all our MDM needs. Occasionally, the Apple MDM deployment goes sideways and requires re-application, but you find that out quickly enough that it doesn't affect the end-user all that much.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have resolved issues with one of our clients' completely decentralized organization, allowing us to implement policies and device management that would normally require a serious infrastructure investment.

Solid all round MDM and SSO

  • March 08, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Handles Apple, Microsoft and Linux OS devices as well as mobile. Apple's DEP integration for newer devices makes life easy and the comprehensive interrogation of device software and browser extensions is very helpful for diagnosing user issues and generating software registers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the features feel a little alpha from time to time and the reporting could be more fleshed out. The initial setup was a learning curve and the documentation could be a little better in places.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visibility of all the software on the devices, Setup of new Mac devices is easy (most of our fleet), getting coverage of patch levels for all software and being able to proactively look at and manage the fleet of all devices.

Endpoint device management, user account control, easy to use UI, fast and secured platform, 2FA, sso.
Great for Linux MDM! Amazing for MacOS and good for Windows
What do you dislike about the product?

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Benefits: endpoint device management, device security, easy to use, radius, sso, cloud platform integrations, increase the sysadmin productivity.
Recommendations to others considering the product:

Really good cloud directory

  • March 08, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
RADIUS capability
LDAP options
Windows and MacOS compatibility
Groups management
Logs details

It's a really easy to use tool that gives you all those functionalities in a cloud based infrastructure you don't have to fully administrate and maintain.
What do you dislike about the product?
A few outages over time. Not affecting critical aspects of the product such as LDAP, RADIUS or endpoints but sometimes the agent installation or admin login portal fails.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Able to manage WiFi Radius authentication and authorisation for our office networks and VPNs
Integrate via LDAP other tools such as Jamf
Manage local users in MacOS and Windows being able to assign and manage account from a coud directory
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Even it offers MDM and SSO capabilities those are a bit basic. If you don't have big requirments the tool will cover your needs, but you might need to have other tools for those capabilities if you have deeper needs

Was looking for an online AD, found a great one.

  • March 08, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Best part is that I dont need any infrastructure to setup an AD for my environment, second its all online and always available.
This is a great idea. I have been looking for an online AD for my use as I have a very small setup. This just came in at the right time. Appreciate all the efforts put under the hood. Will highly recommend small/midsize companies to 'jump' on jumpcloud now.
What do you dislike about the product?
Actually, there is nothing to not like. Once you start using it you need some features which might not be available right now, but it can be made available as per my knowledge. I would say it have room for improvement but there is nothing on it right now which needs to go.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Active directory for a small startup was the main goal. The ask was not to own any infrastructure due to budget constraints and because of the small team size we were able to get on without paying anything (10 free user/system licenses with the account) but once we start growing we will use this for sure.

Good piece of software, only part that has given us issues is the AD Connectors

  • March 08, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud provides a wonderful solution for my company that lets us leverage a ton of SAML auth for various sign-ins and web management portions across our enterprise.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest gripe I've come across while working with the software would be the AD sync connectors. Due to one of the ways our tenant (very particular and strange use case) is set up, a portion of users are required to be bound to an AD whereas other users do not rely on this bind. This has led to a few cases of invalid syncing due to JC syncs only forming the connection one-way (jumpcloud down) which has resulted in groups of users getting completely emptied with no logging occurring on the JC end.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SAML Auth for some web accounts/sites, as well as authorization into certain servers.
