Cloud Based and User Friendly
What do you like best about the product?
Cloud is the way to go! This is way more efficient and saves me a trip to the office for basic network tasks like adding users.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like updating and installing apps over the whole network on Mac to be a little more straightforward.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote access so I can work from wherever I happen to be when the need arises. The cost vs having a server for a smaller business is easy to justify for us as well. We are moving whatever we can to the cloud nowadays and have ditched our server entirely. It is just easier and more efficient.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have remote employees, and want to keep everything managed properly, this is an excellent tool. They also are continuously making improvements which I appreciate.

Excellent SSO Suite
What do you like best about the product?
We love the ability to configure, add and remove users from systems, SAAS platforms and even internal processes in one convenient places.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not a ton I dislike, frankly. I think the previous iteration of the documentation that had individualized guides per service was a bit more helpful, but I understand why it was unsustainable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Enforcement of password policy
Quick assigning and removal of access to services
Access management
Quick assigning and removal of access to services
Access management
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you get a demo and understand the offering precisely.
Great product - a little pricey...
What do you like best about the product?
We use this primarily to keep passwords in sync and add an additional level of security to small and medium networks where AD may not be available or realistic for a full deployment.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jumpcloud can get expensive fast. Nonprofit pricing helps, but the bottom line is this is a costly service for small businesses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Adding additional security via cloud directory services.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For really small networks, the freemium product is fantastic value.
Overall great experience
What do you like best about the product?
The cloud based LDAP service is the best part of this.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of ability to specify GSuite organizational units
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Onboarding/offboarding automation
Easiest 802.1X and RADIUS VPN integration I've ever done
What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud's extensive RADIUS support for network infrastructure! We already know of its strengths as a Single Sign On system, and this can be easily extended to network devices which only speak RADIUS - the most common case being WiFi followed by VPN, both essentials to the modern professional.
What do you dislike about the product?
This is the most minor of 'drawbacks' but each individual device has to be whitelisted under a RADIUS server entry, and I call it minor because it's really just a one-time setup thing. If we could whitelist subnets using CIDR that would be perfect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Integrating WiFi access control and VPN access control - truly one password for EVERYTHING, whether you're signing onto to a network or your accounts. And as a network admin, it saves me HOURS of configuration trying to get the infra to play nicely with the Directory as a Service. Point my infra at their servers and I instantly have an authentication database.
I've been using JumpCloud for over a year and it's great
What do you like best about the product?
Simplicity. It's very simple to start using to manage our G Suite and Office 365 accounts, as well as laptop and server account management. Having the ability to add a user to a group of servers, have that user's account be automatically created and their SSH keys pushed with a few clicks saves me a ton of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have a significant portion of our infrastructure in AWS and one thing that bothers me is that there's currently no support for AWS Linux. Not a huge deal moving forward, but time consuming at best when deploying the agent to legacy AWS Linux EC2 instance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There was no easy way for one or two users to manage laptop security, server access, RADIUS wifi access, and the automation of G Suite account creation. Once set up, adding a new user to all of these items, for example, requires a few checkboxes and a save button.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Excellent for smaller companies with mixed OS user base. Unnecessary if you're a Windows shop using Active Directory.
JumpCloud Active Directory
What do you like best about the product?
The implementation and ongoing maintenance of the platform is very simple, the latest updates have improved the experience further!
What do you dislike about the product?
Currently there are no issues I have found while using the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Password management, implementation of an active directory to manage assets, asset management and policy implementation.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
A simple to use and easy to implement solution to companies that have not implemented active directory.
Finally Mac and Windows working cloud identity management
What do you like best about the product?
The fact that you can manage systems, manage users in one place, connect to azure AD and connect to Gsuite. Wide variety of SSO support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some SSO integrations are still missing, i would also add more options for endpoint policies. the policies are the most important thing for CISO's looking for a good identity management to replace GPO.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
AD replacement, SSO logins and accounts, Systems (linux) accesses to users from one dashboard.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Dont think too much, its working and its working they way they say it is. Security options and management is there and full power. 5* product.
Life Saver During Covid Work from Home
What do you like best about the product?
In addition to being the new way to manage users and computers that is not called Active Directory, JumpCloud became a life save for us and allowed our user base to seamlessly work from home during Covid Lockdown
What do you dislike about the product?
Right now there is not a lot to dislike. Some additional features would be nice but I know there is a lot coming down the pipeline that will allow us to move off other systems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A cloud based system to manage users and computers in a simple manner. The benefits have been numerous, including allowing users to change passwords without being on the VPN or in the office.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Very easy and inexpensive to get going. The new tiered pricing allows you to pay for what you need.
Fantastic product for a modern workforce
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to be able to manage, control and provision machines/users remotely from anywhere in the world.
What do you dislike about the product?
No mobile app for quickly provisioning/blocking users or updating permissions and the poor user experience from iOS tablet devices as the website isn’t overly responsive to differing screen sizes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to completely remove our reliance on Windows servers at all our locations while enabling our workforce to be entirely mobile working with our cloud platforms.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely worth giving it a try. The dual platform support (Windows & Mac) is another hugely underestimated feature as trying to manage a dual environment can be very time consuming and difficult to configure. With JumpCloud - you install the appropriate agent on the end machine, provision the users and your done!
